ChimaAdeoye: Useless OBJ concubines. So what happened to the $16 billion dollars meant for Independent power plants that suddenly disappeared? How did OBJ suddenly get almost N2 billion naira to build a library and even more funds to float his own private university? How did OBJ suddenly find billions of naira to transform Otta farms which was completely decrepit and bankrupt before he became President of Nigeria?

oduastates: Obasanjo is definitely corrupt when univeral standards are used. He did not directly dipped his hands in the treasury like jonathan ,Abacha,Babangida( the reason why he accumulated a $60 billion reserve) Obasanjo's corruption was more of conflict of interest like giving patronage and collecting donations from people who want patronage from the government. But based on what came before him and the record which Yaradua and jonathan have set , It is safe to say that obj is not corrupt. Gospel according to Saint Oduastate on Saint Obasanjo |

@ Demdem though you almost made it impossible for me to quote your ignorant statement below, it will be criminal if I don't. As a governor of one of the richest state in the country, no single project has been attributed to him as an achievement despite receiving billions in allocations throughout. What a baseless and unfounded statement. This how you manufacture propaganda and spread it all over the internet. And it becomes a fact without being refuted early. I'm certain you don't understand the meaning of the word "Emperical Fact" Imagine how you just interpreted your dumb assumption to be a fact. |

I refuse to make any disparaging comment against Dr. Oby due to the respect I have for her and what she stands for but however, I have come to realise her gross with GEJ wasn't just about perceived bad governance but lack of appointments and recognition in his government and this ultimately amounts to hypocrisy.

Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has defended her claim that there is no empirical evidence that former president, Olusegun Obasanjo is corrupt. It will be recalled that Ezekwesili during an interview on Al Jazeera, said that there was no evidence of corruption in the former President’s regime despite reports to the contrary. “There was no way it could have been more corrupt that the government of Abacha. I am sorry,” she said speaking of Obasanjo’s regime, where she served as a Minister. When asked about a Wikileaks report which quoted former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu as saying that everyone was a thief in Obasanjo’s government, Mrs Ezekwesili said: “The next person you should invite to your show should be Nuhu Ribadu. Its not about rejecting his views. I don’t have counter-factory evidence on the basis to reject it” When asked about her opinion on how corrupt Obasanjo was, she said: “Is that supposed to be a question on the basis of some factual thing that you are putting before me? My sense of President Obasanjo was that he gave me the freedom to define the work that I did that public procurement was more transparent than it used to be.” She has taken to her Twitter page to defend her stance, insisting there is no empirical evidence that Obasanjo is corrupt. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/05/ezekwesili-defends-stance-says-no-empirical-evidence-obasanjo-is-corrupt/ |

noblezone: Fela had no skeleton in his cupboard, Buhari did not only arrest him but also jailed him.
Please, just inform the tyrant that we are not in military era! And even if we are, Biafrans have the right to self-determination! If Uwazurike stole Nigeria money, fine he can arrest him but if it is on the bases of Biafra, then arresting Uwazurike will backfire!
If the tyrant want to keep Nigeria one, he should first of all stop the menace of the Jihardists up north! Don't mind those obsessed blind followers, we will never tolerate any unlawful arrest or intimidation from buhari, Jonathan said he had no enemies to fight and he neither arrested nor jailed any perceived enemy |

The last time I checked, Uwazuruike is nothing close to a politician but a freedom fighter, so which skeleton is he hidding from buhari? Buhari should better face good governance which the people so much crave for instead of persecuting perceived enemies, this is not military regime |

I trust Nairaland panel of judges They have already started passing their judgement by condemning the accused.
Though its more logical to condemn the accused by the evidence garnered so far but it will be wrong to hastily conclude, condemn and curse the accused until he's proven guilty by the law.
Ladies, I know its painful to be a victim but much more painful to be wrongly accused |

This is a clear evidence of extinct rich Igbo culture. Wish they were well preserved till date.
Well...... I'm tempted to curse the colonialists and slave traders for robbing us of our rich cultural heritage but I won't.
Meanwhile, this doesn't call for igbophobia from any tribe that feels threatened by the achievements of the Igbos (this is not inclusive)

MizMyColi:
*caveat* Okay, I just finished typing now and it turns out I wrote you an epistle I guess, I just felt the strong wave to journal my political journey so far, albeit a short one. #MyApologies ---------------------------- ---------------------------- Exaccerly! Well, the explanation you gave, when applied to our clime is rather idealistic than realistic.
I developed interest in politics few months after I joined this forum. Though, I was scared stiff at the way insults flew around in the section, I'd always come in to watch guys throw banters and insults...It was fun though (not the hate filled kind going on these days). I used to laff my hats off then. I didn't dare comment then because I felt like a novice...
And then lately, I find that I'm more interested in sociopolitical issues. It came as a surprise to me when I started dropping comments in this section and then getting one or two likes.
Y'know that feeling you get when you feel like you just wrote gibberish and then someone commends you. I felt encouraged.
Well, so far, so good...I've had my share of criticisms and curses. I've had folks who tried to discourage me. And a few who encouraged me to keep on. I thought of quitting sef...well, here I am still. Lols.
I just encourage myself with the saying that "the young shall grow"
If there are a few good (female) and straight forwad activists cum politicians left in this country.....I wanna add to that list. If none exists, I blaze the trail.
Tall dreams though, very tall.
you just caught my attention with this post. I'm proud of you Keep blazing the trail |

Change is sweeping across every facet of Nigeria and will no doubt continue into the nearest future. Both negative and positive change
My advise: don't be too optimistic nor too pessimistic about the change cos both will occur |
