Business › Re: How Can I Recover My Money From A Lady? by tranxo(m): 9:24am On Sep 28, 2017 |
udumosam23: I offer quickteller and agent banking services. A customer made a cash deposit, but during the transfer from my account to hers, there was network issue and i got a failure notice from my mobile app. I tried again and it was successful.
Latter i realised both transactions were succesful. I called her and she called the recipients who complained she is in hospital as at the time. So she gave me the number of the recipient to call her myself.
I did call her, and she told me she was still at the hospital, and though she acknowledged the double transfer, but her health comes first.
I sympathize with her situation and gave her time. I also prayed for her recovery (pls don't think it's because of the money, I'm a Christian).
After a week i called again and thankfully she has recovered, but she was harsh on me. She complained that was not the first time someone posted money wrongly to her account. And finally ask me to remove the money if i have a way of doing so.
I went to the bank to lodge the complain only to realise she has withdrawn all the money. She doesn't even use the account frequently and the address is very far from the East. Infact, she is at Illorin.
I thought of getting a court order as adviced against the account. But then the amount is small, just 30,000. Don't want to think about how much I'll begin to spend with a lawyer in a bid to recover that amount.
My bank also wanted to... (don't even know how they called that) to her account. But money doesn't even come frequently to the account.
I have thought of threatening her, but i have already given her the impression I'm a Christian.
Just thinking on how best to recover my small money without having to spend more than it.
I have also thought of letting go. But each time i do, i think of the amount as too big to dash a criminal. Besides, she said it wasn't the first time. Probably she went away with others, and if she go away with this too, she'll continue and encourage others to do same.
So please what do i do in this case, considering the fact that I'm at the east, and she west. Call her, pray for her over the phone, and tell her you have handed her and the çase over to God to judge her as He pleases. Text her if she refuses to pick |

oladayo042: He is not trying to discourage anyone. Dude is just stating the facts.
I've been on BB since 2013 and I have 14 names there presently. In my entire BB career, I sold one name in 2015 and another one in 2016. It seems the domain god can only grant me one BB sale per year so I'm still waiting for my 2017 sale.
If you are starting out today, BB may not be the best route. Like you noted above, quality names will sell with or without BB. So why give away 30-40% of your sale price when you have quality names that can sell on their own? Domains HARDLY sell on their own, unless you own something like a.com You still need to have strategic marketing plans - outbounds/cold calls, follow through, handling inbound enquiries, marketplace listings etc. Besides, many domainers are part time. They got other things doing and would be okay to take even 50% cut for a successful sale. |

2sexyus: dont mind him. Go list your name there if you want but don't expect a sale in a long while. That place is crooked. The owners of the place often field in their names before others when inquiries come in. Yea this is common industry knowledge. Everyone knows BB has a high percentage of names that probably gets more preference over others. I only wanted to ask questions about how efficient their NMC portal is, result-wise. |

Farouksenior: It's too long. But just heed my advice.
BB has over 40k names.
Unless you want to be sending your domain traffic to BB Nd the bigger Bois. 2% of people got over 600 names each or more and remaining 98%. ..10-100 names.
Jst forget BB. Hmmm. Discouragement is not wise. One of my domains sold there last year. I have 6 domains, I wonder where I fall in your percentages. Do not discourage people. At the end of the day, what REALLY matters is the quality of your names, and not the quantity. |

MackyNaija: For this Yankee way I deh, my eyes don see something! Positively though..
The whole program is moving at the speed of light, one course is on the verge of giving us the first of three exams.
What is different? 1. Cheat sheet is allowed - don't bother cramming formulas, just learn how to apply them. Bring a page of all formulas you would need.
2. Read between chapters 1 and 4. Don't stress yourself preparing on parts that are for Exam 2.
3. We were given a mock exam as an 'assignment' (not to be submitted) to show us what the actual exam would mimic. By my standards, na expo lecturer give us. I actually thought about not posting point 3 but hell no!!! All experiences have to be captured here.
This American system na wa (positively)!
Is this usually how people are nudged in the right direction in every school? That explains the reason most people that went through the jungle education system in Naija, tend to do well (some even obtaining first class/distinction) in education-made-easy environments. |

After Mama Cass in same second pic, you have GPO (General Post Office) Building Marina. Happy touring. :-) |

topsquino: Thank you for this. The reason we don't like doing so is to protect the confidentiality of some projects. You should know better than anyone here about the implication of doing so. Besides, we have a "clean" reputation here. No one has ever accused of not paying them on this platform. It has never happened before. But for the sake of confidentiality, we cannot be putting the details of most of our projects here. Besides, writers also have roles to play by mentioning anyone who has scammed them on this platform before. Most of the projects we have now can last for years if we get the right person. We don't think a 300-word article is too much for a project that will last for at least 1 year. Well like I said, my post wasn't an attempt to cast aspersions on your integrity. I, and I know, a lot of writers have been 'burned' one way or the other through most of these test articles. Yes, you may not have any dubious intentions to scam, but you may have missed many quality writers that wouldn't even bother applying because of past sad experiences. We all aspire to be greater, and better. I was only trying to help your cause in this regard. Cheers. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Article Writers Are Needed by tranxo(m): 5:06pm On Sep 16, 2017 |
Not to discredit your integrity @topsquino, but knowledgeable folks in the freelance writing industry know that these 'test' articles are MOST times, a tricky way of getting free articles.
You can clear all transparency doubts by including a topic in your requirements, which you require EVERY applicant should write and submit with his/her previous articles.
This will go a long way to boost your rep the more.
Good luck with your search.
Cheers. |
