The discovery was made during a
three-day fasting and prayer crusade
organised to cleanse the community
of evil.
It was gathered that the boy was
allegedly abducted along
Independence Layout axis.
However, a Catholic priest from Abia
State, Reverend Father Modestus
Chilaka, invited by elders to assist in
cleansing the land, rescued the boy.
At press time, it was not known
whether the boy had been reunited
with the parents; or his whereabouts.
State Police Command’s spokesman,
Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, told Newsmen: “I
am not aware of the incident, but I
will check.
“Maybe it happened and it was not
reported. I will get back to know if I
have the details.”
However, the traditional ruler,
Ogwugwu Ebenebe 1 of Ameke Ngwo,
Igwe Jerome Okolo, said: “I was here
and I saw a small boy who was buried
alive as a sacrifice.
“The priest said there was such thing
happening and they have buried a
boy for rituals.
“He prophesied and said he will go
there and rescue him. He went and
they rescued the boy and brought him
to this ground and everybody saw
him.” withinnigeria.com/2015/07/23/shocking-10-yr-old-boy-buried-alive-in-enugu/

Barely 72 hours after a haulage truck rammed into a family car killing husband, wife, and first son and leaving three other children severely injured in Awka, Anambra State, a bus on Wednesday crushed three children of same parents who were returning from school. The heartbreaking incident which took place at Nnokwa, Idemili south local government area of the state threw the entire town into mourning as people especially mothers and children wailed un controllably at the sight of blood and lifeless bodies of the children. The victims, Ukamaka, Ogochukwu and Ezinne with their brother Chimezie who was the only one that survived the accident were said be returning from school, St. Stephen’s Nursery and Primary School, Nnokwa between 1.30 and 2pm on Wednesday when they met their end in the unfortunate accident. Said to be children of Mr. and Mrs. Nweke who hail from Kpagbe, Benue State but resident in Nnok wa. Ukamaka who was a Primary 5 pupil was leading home the other three, Ogochukwu, Primary 2; Chimezie, Primary 1 and Ezinne, Pre-Nursery, and they had crossed the major road, Adazi – Nnewi road and were entering the pathway to their home when the bus belonging to St. John’s Institute of Vocational Studies, Neni coming from Adazi axis skidded off the road and crushed them. According to an eyewitness, Ukamaka died on the spot; Ogochukwu, male, died on the way to Iyielu Hospital and Ezinne died at a nearby Chinoso Hospital while Chimezie was being treated at Iyielu Hospital, Ogidi before he was discharged on Thursday evening against medical advice. Reacting to the incident, the Vicar of St. Stephen Anglican Church, Nnokwa and Chairman of St. Stephen’s Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools, Rev. Canon Charles Oraelosi described it as a tragedy and prayed that God would see the grieving parents through. He said, “I feel so bad, it is a tragic occurrence. The pupils were going home when they came in contact with this sad incident that took away the lives of three of them from the same family. Four of them were going home from school, one is Primary 5, the oldest, she was taking them back home, I don’t know what happened to that bus driver, he suddenly crushed the children . One of them died on the spot, the other three were rushed to the hospital. Two died remaining one who is recuperating in the hospital. “I have seen their father, he is with the child at the hospital at Iyielu, their mother is still at large and I tell you while I used that word. The reason is that they are still hiding the sad news from her that three of her children died just like that, you know how you feel when your children go to school and didn’t come back, so they are still hiding the sad news from her. Their father is handling the matter as a man, I don’t know but it is really a very sad incident.” Asked if the school does not have arrangement of moving the chil dren across the major road, Canon Oraelosi said, “There is a stop sign at the place called Centre along that road, and they had crossed the road, it was not a problem of crossing the road. They had crossed the road and were entering the path that leads to their house when the reckless driver hit them.” The driver, he said had reported himself to the police and was in police custody as the angry mob would have descended on him. When Saturday Sun visited Iyielu Hospital, Ogidi yesterday, the graduate nurse in charge of Chil dren’s unit said the boy Chimezie whose age she gave as seven, was discharged on Thursday against medical advice. She said the Priests from St John’s Catholic Church Neni, owners of the bus that had the accident came with the father of the child and asked that he be discharged for them to take him to their own hospital to continue the treatment. .com/talk/topic,269932.0.html |
I woke in the early hours of the night in my bed, when I stretched my hand across the bed to feel the softness and the tender skin of my wife but it was my pillow that occupied the space beside me then I realized that my wife is yet to come into my life. Hello dear, it’s funny that I don’t even know your name yet but that is of little importance because I will always call you “My Angel. How is life treating you? It might have happened that we have met without really meeting or we may have passed each other on the road without even taking a glance or possibly, we have never met; whatever the case may be, we are going to meet someday. My angel I’m looking forward to the day we shall be pronounce husband and wife the day that man will say: “You may now kiss the bride, the day my parents will embrace yours, the day we shall be known as a big family. I promise I won’t choose a place for our honeymoon the pleasure will be yours. I’m also looking forward to the night when we shall conjugate our marriage, when I shall plant the seed of my first twin inside of u. I don’t care if your flower has been plugged, circumstances can make us do things against our wish. I promise to love and cherish you just the way you are. Be careful with men, don’t fall prey to their sweet words which carry little meaning. I want you to know that I am looking forward to the day I can boldly say that I have a Queen the SYMBOL of Love. Am waiting for that day. |
Busty Argentinian glamour model, Victoria Xipolitakis was yesterday turned back from a lineup of people waiting to greet Pope Francis in Asuncion, Paraguay because of what she wore (above) The police were forced to escort her out following a public outcry by Paraguayans who found her dressing offensive. She wore this tiny white top without a bra making her silicon boobs very visible. Pics of her being escorted out after the cut... This isn't the first time Victoria will be involved in a public uproar. Few weeks ago, two pilots were sacked from Austral Airlines after taking selfies with her in the cockpit and letting her take the controls. She was also publicly rebuked after she posted a Photoshopped picture of her self with a false big butts six months ago. For several weeks Victoria had been trying to get a private meeting with Pope Francis because she says she wants him to forgive all of her sins. .net/2015/07/photos-busty-argentinian-glamour-model.html?m=1

With respect to d Nigerian public philanthropist and cleric,Prophet T.B. Joshua,it was totally wrong & unscriptural for him to reject d tithes of d widower who wanted to pay his percentage to God, on d ground dat d prophet was compassionate enough on d poor widower. Everybody was admonished in Malachi 3:10 to bring ALL tithes to God's house, without exempting anybody. No pastor is permited to hinder other ppls blessing(tithes),coz it propels God to shower His blessing on d giver. T.B Joshua thought he was doing dat man a favor bt totally wrong.Heb. 11:6 says God(Not T.B. Joshua) is d ONLY Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Pastor Adeboye says wen he was a younger pastor,he once refuses to use a woman's car dat was offered to him as gift, until he was convinced by God to use it, coz rejecting d gift is hindering d woman's blessing. Our God capitalises on giving. T.B Joshua was right to shower gifts to d poor widower in return, yet wrong to hav rejected his tithes. Though gifts shouldnt be accepted for ulterior motives, but where tithes is being offered in a church, no pastor is allowed to reject it,coz it is offered to God,not to the Pastor. |
Holyman3:Diz is a real evidence dat ur madness cannot be loosed. How dare u direct such statement to clergy men like dat. Were u d one dat commission dem?? Most of dem were existing b4 ur father was born, talkless of u. I pity ur pple. U beta nt place a curse on ur sef and family. If d prblm starts, pple will start sympathising wit u. |
Na God catch d two of dem. Truth must be told, these men says they were unemployed and yet went ahead to conspire wit d fake Pastor to deceive people at d crusade. Now they ar geting their coins back. Bt d pastor is at d finger tip of God. |

Immediate past governor of Benue State, Dr. Gabriel Suswam yesterday described as fictitious and laughable the reports suggesting that he was arrested in London for allegedly beating his wife, Yemisi. Suswan, who said he had been in Germany since he left Nigeria on vacation claimed the reports was the handiwork of politicians in the state, bent on tarnishing his reputation. He urged Nigerians to disregard propaganda against him by those, who, he said have sworn to stop at nothing to belittle what he achieved in Benue state despite the monumental problems which his administration inherited when he came on board in 2007. In a statement personally signed by him, Suswam cautioned that there should be a limit to falsehood. According to the report in an online medium, the former governor was purportedly arrested by the Metropolitan Police Domestic Violence Officers for battering his wife. He was booked into the London detention centre for several hours before an unidentified judge set a £5000 bail bound which he met before being released. But describing the report as fictitious, Suswam denied ever going to London, saying he had been in Germany with his wife on vacation, even as he challenged authors of the report to name the street and address of his said house in London. He added that the report was an indication that his traducers had decided to carry “defamation and slander almost too far in their latest cock and bull stories.” On the claim that his wife’s trauma was as a result of the overbearing influence of her mistress, one Shidoo, Suswam said the imaginary mistress “exists only in the figment of the writers’ imagination.” He added that, while he had always considered himself most fulfilled among men when it comes to matrimonial life, his wife, “Yemisi is not only a quintessence of physical beauty, as they themselves would helplessly admit, she is a capsule portrait of feminine perfection. So, what else would a man desire for himself as an ideal woman to warrant any thought of a second wife?” The former governor also refuted another report alleging that his wife and her associates drove in two large trucks to the Benue State Liaison Office in Abuja, with the intent to cart away all the expensive furnishings. In the, Suswam said it was still the recent series of unsubstantiated ‘Tales by Moonlight’ designed to portray the former First Lady as descending into such a low. He also cited another report which he said was “sponsored by the same faceless clowns who have made the business of pulling me down their past time, that before I departed from Benue Government House, there was looting of items, including utensils.” The former governor described the report about Yemisi’s involved in carting away items like bedsheets, amplified by their paid agents in other fora “as absolutely absurd and irresponsible journalism.” www..com/talk/topic,268422.0.html |

Six persons have been declared missing in an ambush in Pang Village in Heipang, Barkin Local Government of Plateau State, according to Capt. Ikedichi Iweha, spokesman for the Special Task Force. He also said three soldiers attached to the STF, maintaining peace in Plateau, were seriously injured in the ambush. Iweha told the News Agency o Nigeria in Heipang on Wednesday that the corpse of one of the six missing persons had been found. Iweha explained that there was a report of cow rustling at Pang Village which prompted the response of officers operating in the area around 4pm on Tuesday, June 30. “But on getting to Pang village, our team of officers was attacked around 8.30pm leaving three of our soldiers seriously injured. “About 400 cows were reportedly rustled by some unknown youths, who carried out the ambush and shooting of the officers,” he said. The STF spokesman added that the injured officers had been taken to hospital, while most of the rustled cows had been recovered. Three of the cows were found dead, while four were wounded. He expressed surprise at the attack on the STF personnel who, he said, were neutral parties. Iweha promised that the STF would do all it could to rescue the remaining five missing persons and also trace the attackers. today.ng/news/six-missing-three-soldiers-injured-in-plateau-ambush/ |
The American Heart Association (AHA) recommend consuming no more than 450 calories from sugar- sweetened beverages each week - the equivalent to less than three 12 oz cans of cola. However, a 2011 study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that males consume an average of 178 calories from sugary drinks daily, while women consume around 103 calories from sugary drinks each day. For their study, lead author Prof. Gitanjali Singh, research assistant professor at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science & Policy of Tufts University in Boston, MA, and colleagues set out to estimate the annual rates of global deaths and disabilities caused by sugary drink consumption. Their findings are published in Circulation - a journal of the AHA. The team analyzed 1980-2010 sugary drink consumption data from 62 surveys involving 611,971 people over 51 countries. Specifically, they focused on how sugary drink consumption affects the number of deaths from diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. In their study, sugary drinks were defined as sugar-sweetened sodas, sports/energy drinks, fruit drinks, sweetened ice teas and homemade sugary drinks. They excluded 100% fruit juice. The researchers also gathered data on national availability of sugar among 187 countries during the 20-year period. Overall, the data allowed them to assess how consumption of sugar- sweetened beverages varies by age, gender and population and how this impacts death rates. Prof. Singh and colleagues estimated that in 2010, sugary drink consumption was responsible for around 184,450 deaths worldwide, with 133,000 deaths from diabetes, 45,000 deaths from cardiovascular disease and 6,450 deaths from cancer. The team found younger adults were more likely to experience chronic disease as a result of sugary drink consumption than older adults, which Prof. Singh says is a concern. "The health impact of sugar- sweetened beverage intake on the young is important because younger adults form a large sector of the workforce in many countries," he explains, "so the economic impact of sugar-sweetened beverage-related deaths and disability in this age group can be significant." "It also raises concerns about the future," Prof. Singh continues. "If these young people continue to consume high levels as they age, the effects of high consumption will be compounded by the effects of aging, leading to even higher death and disability rates from heart disease and diabetes than we are seeing now." Reducing sugary drink consumption ' should be a global priority' The researchers also found low- and middle-income countries had the highest estimated rates of sugary drink-related deaths, with around 76% occurring in these regions. Among the 20 most populated countries, Mexico had the highest rate of estimated sugary drink-related deaths, with 405 deaths per 1 million adults. The US had the second highest rate, at an estimated 125 deaths per 1 million adults. "Among the 20 countries with the highest estimated sugar-sweetened beverage-related deaths, at least eight were in Latin America and the Caribbean," notes Prof. Singh, "reflecting the high intakes in that region of the world." medicalnewstoday.com/articles/296035.php |
