Yes. Like when the manager tell the fans he wasn't backed, with a list showing that he had other alternative to De Jong, Anthony and every other player he had wasted months chasing. Some people will still blame the board if they sign any other players not sanctioned by the Manager if those players flop. United don't have an experience DoF, but even that could not have stop Ten Hag from targeting his own players this window. So i put the blame of this window on Uncle Ten. He gave conditions before accepting the Job, the board accepted and gave him the job.....

The first part does not match the 2nd part. The good dose of blame that the board will get, when will they get it and why will they get it? if the transfer woes is on ETH then what is the board getting blamed (in good doses) for?

Meaning they will be blamed when necessary, but not for this transfer window...

It is funny how easily these guys are able to manipulate the opinions of fans.

Any future totalitarian government need not look further than the Glazer regime for how to manipulate the people.

I expect to get more of such snippets as the transfer window goes from bad to worse. The seed has to be planted in the minds of the gullible that whatever went wrong with the transfers is all the manager's fault. It will germinate by December during the sacking season.

Haba Doc, that interview with ESPN was in April 2022. Ten Hag was still at Ajax, the board will get a very good dose of blame but this transfer window woes is on Erik. They won't sack him this season though, they know he is a very good Manager...

I agree with you he should have walked away. That was a phuck up on his part but what were we doing offering him a vague consultancy role without any defined powers or responsibilities when Fletcher was arranging cones as Technical Director.

You should look at it from the point of the club not Rangnick. Why did they off him that vague role when there were better roles to give him?

Maybe because Woodward and his crew had terrible football knowledge, Woodward and by extension Glaziers wanted puppets in sensitive positions at the management level. So many maybes, but Rangnick accepted that appointment so all of them furk up big time.....

People that were drinking the euphoria of ETH appointment were celebrating his departure. Some even called into question his CV as football director because he didn't succeed as a manager here. That was when i asked them to tell us the coaching record of all the great football directors currently working.

People with myopic vision saw a shiny new manager with a good CV and were dreaming about trophies. People with foresight saw that the new manager had worked in a well structured organization with other good football minds advising and guiding him while we had no structure and a group of yes men to advise him.

But Rangnick furked up for taking the interim Manager job, he should have negotiated for Director of Football instead and walk away if he wasn't offered. He was truly rubbish as a manager here, and many fans won't forget that in a hurry.

Good advice here...
