Are you also assessing your qualifications for partner points? What field is your experience?

rianah:
Hello house, you are all doing a very wonderful job here.

I'm new to this thread but not entirely new. I've read the 1st thread till the last page and I've read this all through too.

My husband is to be the primary applicant . We are both graduates of Electronics and Computer Engineering. He has the upper hand cos he's been working in a telecoms firm for 6+ years.

We are currently preparing for his Pte exams. We have been reading and practising together , lol. He's to take the exams in June. We hope for 20points. Please anyone with genuine study pack for pte should quote me.I have a little problem with the nairaland massaging thing though, I don't seen to know how to send messages with it.

After the pte, we hope he gets accessed by EA as a telecoms enginger. Please anyone who has been accessed as a telecoms engineer with EA should kindly give me a better outlook of what his CDR and Summary should look like. Biko, na beg I dey beg all of u my seniors in the house .

Also anyone who's just starting can please message me so we will roll together. Especially engineers . So we can always rub minds and share ideas. Abeg.

Thank you all.

May we all succeed together. Ameen

Good day sir,

Do you in any way manage the IT operations as part of your duties? If yes, you may look at ICT Manager which will require five years experience based on your degree being unrelated. You can get nomination for 489 from South Australia with 60points.

johnmba:
Operations manager......experience was during nysc.....currently running masters in IT with open university
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by TRed: 7:48pm On Apr 09, 2018
For South Australia, you only need to complete the declaration when submitting your application online and it is just stating the cash available in one space, and other assets' monetary values in another space. The sum of these two should cover the amount required for your family composition. Check this for more info: http://www.migration.sa.gov.au/skilled-migrants/nomination-process/skilled-nomination-requirements

inagbe1:
Thank you very much, i really appreciate.Either of the two states (Tasmania and Southern Australia) will require me to make a financial declaration?
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by TRed: 5:00pm On Apr 05, 2018
Kindly follow through the link provided to verify if registration is mandatory as I have only browsed the website today in order to provide you with some pointers. Also, visit TRA's website for guidance.

You may need to study the trend to know if meeting the minimum requirements of 60 will give ITA from NT or TAS.

happy4lucy:
Thanks for you response dear,

Is the registration for Australian dental council a must for the application ?

Also how possible can she be invited with 60point based on what is happening now(point are in the high side)

Thanks once again.
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by TRed: 4:18pm On Apr 05, 2018
Check for dental technician which is assessed by TRA.

The occupation is available for sponsorship by NT and Tasmania. She will need to register with Australian Dental Council and no exam is required.

http://www.adc.org.au

dental hygienist and dental therapist too are offered on 489 for some states.

Age=30pts
English=10pts
Qualification=10pts
State sponsorship(489)=10points
Total=60pts

happy4lucy:
Good day!

I have a question to ask on behalf of my sister. She studied in school of dental technology enugu, and the result awarded was HND in dental technology and wants to know the accessing body for dental technologist and if it will be accessed as degree or diploma.

If it is diploma can she use it to start her PR journey?
Age 28
Years of experience 1year
English 10point

Please any hope for her in this PR journey?

TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by TRed: 12:52pm On Apr 04, 2018
Partner point will give you 5points.

Your partner will need to do a skills assesment for an occupation on the skilled migration occupation list for Australia and show competent English of 6 on ielts or 50 on pte if there are no special English requirements by the assessing body.

kindly follow the link below:

https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/supporting/Pages/skilled/partner-skills-documents.aspx

ejimjesus:
thanks for the prompt response. please in what condition can one claim partner points?
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by TRed: 12:23pm On Apr 04, 2018
Your partner will need to show proof of functional English which is an overall score of 4.5 for ielts and 30 for pte. However, he/she will need competent English or higher if you are claiming partner point.
You can also choose to pay a second payment for English lessons for partner which is around AUD4K+.
ejimjesus:
@ oga bellong, mamjaz, and others.

please, should my partner who is a secondary applicant write English test? if yes what band score will be suffice?

You need to start a new eoi by selecting "Submit an EOI" on skillselect and a new EOI number will be sent to the email address you have provided.

Each Eoi is identified by its unique EOI number.

mumzt:
Hello,

Please I can't seem to understand or get the hang of how to do this multiple applications. Do I start a whole new eoi with the same email or there's a link on the first eoi submitted.
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by TRed: 10:24pm On Mar 06, 2018
Kindly help me understand this boss as I have submitted multiple EOIs with different EOI numbers on skillselect.
Do you mean all of the states I have submitted to will access my eoi for other states using the email address?

Michaelamo:
You can, but using one email address means each state could see how many state you have created EOI for. However, if you have a higher point, it might not be an issue.
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by TRed: 8:02pm On Mar 06, 2018
The cost is dependent on quite a few individual factors.;

1, cost of assessing your qualifications and work experience is dependent on your occupation and its assessing body
2, cost of meeting bros english required points is dependent on how many english tests(ielts/pte/toefl etc) you would've taken to achieve the points required
3, some state and regional nominations requires application fee
4, cost of visa application is subject to your family composition and who is migrating with you

Lastly, there hidden costs such as that for obtaining your transcripts, police clearance certificate and other documents

IAMBlesssed:
Goodmorning House..

So delighted I found this thread. I m planning to start processing my migration by middle of this year. Please like how much should I budget for the whole process?
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by TRed: 7:36pm On Mar 06, 2018
mumzt:
Yes. He's contacted his assessor.

Please house, can one submit multiple EOI?
If yes, does that mean opening multiple accounts? Would like to submit for different state nominations.
Sure you can.
Just go to skillselect and click on "Submit an EOI".

You can use one email address for all your EOIs.

You should give it a try. The points requirements these days makes regional and state sponsorships to be valid considerations.

mumzt:
Niceeeee. Congratulations.

Seriously considering state/provincial nominations too. Still reading through all the territories.
