A Nigerian lady as shocked many as she revealed how she connived with her boyfriend to fake her kidnap so as to get money from her father.

The lady identified as Toluolope @tolu_collection on Twitter wrote about how the scam went bad, as her boyfriend ended up actually kidnapping her and requesting more money from her father.

This incident later led to her father having stroke, and she couldn’t press charges because she was also an accomplice.

She wrote :-

I once faked a kidnap of myself to get money from my dad, my boyfriend collected and now actually kidnapped me and requested another ransom from my father with made him sell his pure water factory, he got stroke from thinking about his present state

He got arrested but we couldn’t press charges because he named me as an accomplice � i still haven’t forgiven myself

I was young and naive we were both under 17

Many commuters were left injured and bleeding profusely, today, as their bus was ambushed by some daredevil armed robbers.

The incident happened around 7:50a.m at Elele, Rivers State. It was gathered that some policemen near the spot, fled into the bush with their legs touching the back of their heads.


The affected victims were later rushed to the hospital by some Good Samaritans.

Femi Kuti has once again replied to critics who continue to compare him to his late father and pioneer of the Afrobeat genre, Fela Anikulakpo – Kuti.

Following the release of Falz’s ‘Moral Instruction‘, a socio-political album which drew samples from three Fela songs, some fans took to twitter questioning why Femi’s songs are not as critical as his father’s.

But Femi responded by saying he does not want to be his father and that he has nothing to prove after putting out 10 albums.

“I’ve said it several times, I probably will have to repeat till I die, I don’t want to be my father,”

Femi tweeted in response while also saying he didn’t inherit the Afrobeat genre but it’s the style of music he grew up with.

American boxer, Mayweather has continued his undefeated streak by beating Japan’s kickboxer, Nasukawa.

Floyd Mayweather beat Japanese kickboxing phenomenon Tenshin Nasukawa by a technical knockout on Monday in the first round of a New Year’s Eve “exhibition” bout that brought the US boxing superstar out of retirement.

Mayweather floored Nasukawa, a kickboxer less than half his age, three times in the first round of the three-round contest before the Japanese fighter’s trainer rushed in to stop the fight.

The American boxer at first appeared not to be taking the fight seriously, grinning at his opponent and aiming only soft punches at him.

But he then demonstrated his power, launching a series of jabs and hooks to the head of the 20-year-old Japanese fighter, sending him to the canvas after just one minute.

Sensing his opponent was struggling, Mayweather stepped in for the kill, unleashing a flurry of punches that left Nasukawa reeling again within just two minutes of the bout and facing his second standing count.

With the Japanese fighter clearly struggling to stay on his feet, the trainer rushed in and stopped the fight with just one minute of the first round remaining.

The 41-year-old Mayweather carried a more than 4kg (9lb) weight advantage into the ring.

The rules were very strictly defined: three, three minute bouts and boxing only — kickboxer Nasukawa was reportedly facing a $5 million fine if he aimed a kick at Mayweather.

There were no judges, with only a knockout or technical knockout considered a victory in the bout, promoted as a pure exhibition match.

Crucially, the match did not feature on the record of either man, allowing them both to retain a cherished unbeaten record.

But Mayweather will walk away with $88m in his pocket, according to reports.
