My sister, please listen. I don't have a child yet but I have watched my sis in law almost killed herself when her baby had jaundice and the private specialist hospital she/we was/were using continue milking us till there is no money and the hospital asked her to talk her baby somewhere else since they don't have money.
4am, she got a car to take her to shomolu health centre, from there the baby was transferred to Massey. the nurses and doctors at Massey abused our lives but we didn't mind. Baby was taken from us and kept under the light with ultimate care. within a week we have our baby back.
one thing we learnt from that situation was that, private hospital sometimes intentionally delay treatment so as to milk their patients.
I was also having some treatment in same hospital, I stopped when the madam said trigger injection is 10,000 per shot, after paying 5000 for consultation each time i visit the hospital, when I told this my sis in law, she felt I wasn't serious about TTC, until the woman milked her too.
please if you have the means take that baby to Massey or any government owned hospital that you know can take care of such. I know most health centre will such baby and they transferred to a higher institution if need be.

To tell or not to tell

Some people are so close to me in this journey that without saying it with words of mouth, they knew what I want just looking at me i.e Awesomemrs, thehomemaker and some Mama's here, most of which we have not even meet physically.

I know there are many sides to TTC, which ever way works for you maybe medical or spiritual, comes with their own demand, while some people may be placed on bed rest for some times, they may not wish to tell people that they are paged, for the fear of unknown due to unstable pregnancy situation, what if I later lost this baby wont people say I lied about being pregnant.

What works for me, has always been to see what you want me to see, if your Belle like, let it turn to trailer, I won't mention pregnancy to you, if you didn't tell me you are pregnant. when you give birth and I was told, I will congratulate you, if not, na to turn silent mood.

Please we need our emotional balance in this journey of TTC, please we have to overlook other people's attitude sometimes, I know it is not easy, but we need to learn that aspect. someone once abused me for three times, I didn't say anything, however I spoke the third time because she used TTC as a point in her abuse. I told her the worst she was not prepared to hear and guess what that was how I became tagged as the wife that gets angry easily. I never mentioned it to anyone that she used TTC, and she herself didn't tell anyone, from my in laws side, I do not expect them to tell me someone is pregnant, I do not expect them to hide it from me, because I don't even leave my house looking for family, I do friends that truly cares.

On friends that truly cares, it takes someone that has felt the same type of pain you are feeling to understand what you are going through. My true friends are women that knows what TTC is, on this one, ask Awesomemrs and thehomemaker, I knock the door of heart anytime, any day. if I was too quiet, they know how to bring out the flames.

We may have friends not TTCing that truly understands, it's fine to be with them too.

There are friends and there are friends, see what they want you to see, if when you knew, do like you don't know to they felt it is safe to tell you.
Some will hide their pregnancy info from you so as to preserve your emotions, while others felt ttc people don't like to see others pregnant, like we are witch.

What I do? I see what you want me to see that way I know where I belong, and if you like turn to FBI, you have got no info to get from me as well.

So please mama, it is cool to be hurt by their actions of hiding pregnancy, because you would have told them if that was you, be ready, we shall conceive, they shall see it and we shall deliver safely, mother, father and babies alive.

I was not able to get into passport office yesterday, because the nimc centre said they are attending to passport related issues, even though mine was passport related as well, numbers were given out to people 1-50, and we later discovered those people paid. after getting enough beating from the rain I left.

please whoever is going to ikeja should please update us on how things are there.

I don't think i have to pay online, no one have mentioned that to me, we are going with NIN slip (maiden name) and all documents for proof of name change.

I was at the Ikoyi passport office today, and the requirement for the modification of name are the following:
1. marriage certificate
2. newspaper publication
3. change of name affidavit
4. receipt of payment for name change on NIN.
* for number 4 above, you either pay online totaling like 670-700 or you pay 1000 at the people at the desk, and trust me, those people in charge of this thing take money like water. in my presence, a woman paid 5000 just for registration and they even ask her to come back tomorrow.
i am also going back tomorrow for my modification, i got there quite late today, number shared for people doing NIMC has finished before i got there.

As of Friday,I was told that only the Nimc offices in Ikoyi and Ikeja were working. I got my Nin from Ikoyi passport office on Friday.

I was at Ikeja some days back, the NIMC office there was closed, I was told they are not working.

Birth announce and Birth story.

My EDD was May 10 but because I was opting for elective CS, I joined Team April.

January 31 after Eating one sweet porridge Yam, I noticed I felt wet. I entered the bathroom to check, immediately I pulled my underwear, a large pool of blood poured. I was rushed to the hospital where it was discovered I had a total placenta abruption.

Dr. Said she has to do an immediate Csection to save my life. I was only 25 weeks and 4 days (6.5 months) pregnant. My baby was brought out weighing 748grams.

As she laid in her isolette and the doctors not giving any hope, I cried to God, begging him to save her and pledging that I will share her testimony round the world. I said "please heal her and make her testimony draw souls to Christ."

God had mercy on us. He saved her. He kept her. He gave us a song and His words in John 11 VS 4 which was my prayer did not fall to the ground.

We were told the 1st 24 hours were crucial. The hospital where I gave birth has a low level NICU and so she had to be airlifted to another hospital. They were not sure how she will do on the flight but God kept her.

We had a tough start.
She went through:
1. 9 initial intubation trial
2. PDA(An open hole in the heart) which closed after ibruprofen therapy.
3. NEC Suspicion(perforation of the intestine because of its immaturity.
4. 8 blood transfusions
5. 41 days on the ventilator
6. We later moved to CPAP another breathing machine. A total of 43days on CPAP
7. She was moved to regular Oxygen. She didn't hold up well and went back to CPAP. She was tried again and it was ok. She is off all support.
8. Uncountable Xrays and ultrasounds
9. 2 MRIs.

God saved my baby. I totally depended on God and pleaded with him for mercy. My heart was in shambles but God gently put them together. I drew comfort from God's words and knew I could not give up. I said this bible verse everyday

We had a great team at the NICU(Neonatal Intensive care unit) who God used to take good care of my daughter.

After 108 days, I got to take my daughter home.

It is time to tell the world about the Miracle call Eloghosa. We spent 108 day in the NICU. At discharge she weighed 3.7kg. Is God not good?

Her name means It is not difficult with God.

God is Awesome.
