Small freezer? What is the starting surge? The Itel power tank is a great option however it won't power a deep freezer due to initial startup surge. So try and get info on the power rating of ur freezer. Mind you, you have no problem for a regular refrigerator.

The current price on Jumia is outrageous, got mine at #304k from itel solar dot com. Visit the site and chat them up.

Pair the power tank with jinko 535w bifacial panel and you should have power 24/7 with ur budget and load.
That's with a 410w panel. I think it's fair.

Throw away that Tubular battery.

Suggestion:
CWORTH ENERGY 2.56kWH 12V Lithium = 400k
4 units of Africell 200watts = 160k
Powmr 60Amps MPPT controller = 125k
Solar Cable = 40k

Total = 725k
Hope you've watched a teardown video of cworth batteries or their capacity tests?

I recommend their inverters but never their lithium batteries.

I can help the community with capacity testing, if the battery can be released for a day.

It will be charged back with the discharged energy, since I have a bigger battery I can use as storage for the energy being moved back and forth.

I'm not very far from you at the moment. But I no drink o. 😂

Hello solar inverter guru in the house, I'm thinking on getting one of the two package, to power the following:
49inches smart Tv
2 rechargeable fan
Airtel internet cable
6 bulbs but not all at once
1 18 inches ox fan only at noon
A laptop and 2 phones

I got the 2 quotation to make a choice:

The Tubular Battery Packages.

1kva inverter
240ahms battery
4 pieces of 200watts panel
Cables, Breakers

#530,000

The Lithium Battery Packages.

1kva Hybrid inverter
2.6KWH Lithium battery
2 pieces of 350watts panel
Cables, Breakers

#630,000

Is any of the 2 a good choice?
I sincerely doubt the second package, except they are all used items. Even at that, it's very sus.

I can give you Itel power tank with 1*500w or higher watt solar panel (tokunbo or new depending on availability) with free delivery and installation depending on location in Lagos-#600k

Only power tank/ panel -#455k

I will throw in a free smart socket for you if it's a tokunbo panel that's available.

The smart socket works with an internet and hotspot connection and gives you many features to make your home smart:
1. smart monitoring of your loads on your phone,
2. you can schedule timer function
3. You can see real time what your load consumption is and adjust your load to maximize your battery backup time.
4. You can use to schedule charging with grid so for instance you can schedule to charge with grid only at night. During the day you are only on solar. Etc

See attached pictures as sample items.

The Itel power tank is a low budget solution for intending solar users.

Cost break down ;
Power tank 500w (1kwh) 304k
Jinko 535w bifacial panel 107,500
Installation and materials 130k... Length of pv cable caused the price hike.

Loads.. Normal 32 inches tv
Small Home theater
Lighting points
And a standing refrigerator.
Dc standing fan.

Gets filled by 1pm due to lack of early morning sunlight (Should fill faster in a better location)

A full charge lasts through the night with the above loads mentioned leaving at least 35% charge, although TV and home theater goes off latest 11pm

If you're on a super tight budget and this solution can work for you, then by all means go for it. Highly recommended !
I agree. Especially for small businesses and shops that require more of daylight load.

I offer this solution including delivery and installation within Lagos for #600k.
The one with a 300w capacity for #560k

I use new or tokunbo panels of 500w and above, depending on what's available.

Don't buy transformerless inverter

Their MOSFETs blow easily after a while.

Visit any electrician/radionic shop where they repair inverters, you will see mountain of dead sachet inverters there.

Some don't last 6 months before they blow and they're over-rated too.

2,000W written on it but if you put 1,000w load continually, MOSFETs will blow.

I would rather buy tokunbo bluegate ups in good condition than buy sachet inverter again
Wrong.

Sachet inverters are typically rated at their surge capacity, not running capacity. Once you know this, operate it within it's recommended specs and it should serve you. I'm talk about pure sine wave ones.

I've had a sachet inverter take in water from rainfall and still continued working. I only found out by chance that where it was installed was getting soaked during windy rain. The unit still works till date.

Wether txmer or txmerless, if you use it outside it's recommended specs, expect signs and wonders.

KA24DETT:

Actually, you are very correct. Most 10 kVA inverters (I have 10 running in my business) only output about 8 kW. Anything above that triggers the overload alarm from the inverter.

This is my experience running a solar-based power generation and distribution system in Nigeria over the past 22 months (2-year anniversary in March 2026). We have a 400 kW solar array and a 310 kWh battery bank (8 pieces of Felicity 17.5 kWh, 8 pieces of Valto 17.5 kWh batteries, and 2 pieces of Felicity 15 kWh batteries). Daily load requirement is 560 kWh (0.56 MW), Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.

1. Nothing beats efficiency. If you have AC fans, sell them and buy DC fans. Use inverter ACs, LED bulbs, inverter fridges and freezers. Use induction cookers instead of electric hot plates. The more efficient you are, the less power your panels need to generate, especially during the rainy season.

2. You can’t really have too many panels. If you have the capital, buy more panels. Overpaneling pays off in the shoulder months — April, May, and October — when extra surface area captures diffuse light and stretches production. No one beats physics: the deep rainy season will always humble you. I have a diesel generator for rainy days since my loads are constant.

3. It’s cheaper to design on a 48V platform, if you are starting from a clean sheet. Smaller gauge wires and controllers can harvest more energy from your solar array.

4. Never buy lead-acid batteries. No matter how cheap or attractive the deal looks, buy LiFePO₄. If you have ₦300k, buy ₦300k worth of LiFePO₄ and upgrade later when you have more funds. It’s like traveling by horse versus driving a modern car — night and day. The BMS in LiFePO₄ is such a leap in technological advancement that it made lead-acid batteries obsolete. Yes, it’s everything and much better.

5. Hybrid inverters are very good, if you have the funds. Most hybrid inverters support 500 V Voc, allowing longer series strings and smaller gauge wires.

6. Turning off fridges and freezers at night reduces battery drain. Using frozen containers or bags of pure water inside helps retain cold and slows temperature rise while they’re off.

Solar is not a replacement for generators. It requires mental work, calculations, and most importantly, tempered expectations. Rainy season is brutal.

Valto has visited my site and has been very supportive of my business. His customer service has been excellent since my first battery purchase.

This reflects my company’s experience. Take it for what it is — n = 1. I went with LV instead of High voltage system, it was a business decision. The Jury is still out.
Hi,

Can we link up? I'm interested in this business model although on a smaller scale.

If they are 4 cells:
•connect in series as 12v.
•Charge full to 14.4 or 14.6v.
•Then dismantle and connect all in parallel to achieve same voltage.
This method is very fast.
If there is a severe imbalance, cells can vent.

The sun is an infinite source of energy. It can power whatever you want, as long as you install the right capacity for what you want to achieve.

It requires a WiFi to limit the load or for initial set up?
WiFi to configure it and access it anywhere in the world. After setting it up, I've found out you can connect via Bluetooth to operate it, if WiFi is off.

For your need, I think the manual type is ok.

Good afternoon good people.
Thnak you for all the help you provide.
I need help over this issue l am experiencing.
My setup us 5KVA Inverter, 5500W (10UNIT) OF PV and DIY assembled LiPo4 26KW battery.
Initially, everything was fine but after about a few months, if l switch on 1,5hp Pump, it will shut down, if l switch on Electric Hot Plate (3000W), it will shut down, despite the Inverter indicating battery was full.

I decided to add more Panels (team Big panel member), so l added 5units of 650 Panels.
Still, the problem persist, it will shut down under the slightest load over 1KW.

I am at a point where l need to get things right and l am wondering over a few options.
1) Is my problem that of inadequate Power from Inverter (appliances demanding more than its max power output) or is it bad configuration?
2) Can /Should l buy another 5KVA Hybrid Inverter and put the later acquired 650W Panels on it separately and use it to charge my battery, would it provide additional power and prevent these shutdowns?
3) Should l buy an external CC and connect to the 650W x 5units of Panels, to charge the battery.

Thank you
I suspect severely imbalanced battery pack.

Good day y’all
What kind of device can I use to limit the power consumption of a neighbor I intend to supply power to?
That can go as low as 200W
Get a smart breaker or socket. Very handy for such things. It requires a WiFi to work though.

Otherwise you get the manual type that you set an over current value as you want.
