Please, I need a recommendations on the type of 3.2-3.5kva inverter to buy? I almost buy a smarten inverter 3.2kva but on researching I learnt it can work with lithium battery......I want to use 2 tubular batteries for now but will later upgrade to lithium battery as there is no funds for now?...
Please it urgent before I spend the money
Cworth 4kva hybrid has been working well where I installed them.

Do you think this device will be helpful? I found it on Temu
I won't advise this line of action. CC to battery connection is not your typical battery charger to battery connection.

Its a lithium battery, that's why I am worried whenever I noticed this. It's happening again now, it's almost 30v and when it gets to around 31v the battery will stop taking the current and controller will display 39.9v
Hope your settings on the battery isn't higher than the BMS can handle. I suspect the BMS is shutting off on over voltage protection.

Mind you, the outreach wouldn't do much to their market because, how many customers got visibility of such reviews whether Honest or NOT

Not small ones.

We have some industrial setups that Runs on 120v so using lead batteries is very advantageous for setup like that.

So please read n digest my comment above, I never said a properly installed bifacial isn't better than mono during energy harvest but my stand is that for a better result, it's best installed on the ground with a galvanised sheet placed at an angle underneath the mounting structure or on a shining roof but with a more sophisticated mounting racks for better result during harvest

I've seen some advanced mix of lead and lithium on YouTube. Some people said it can be done with good BMS or separating the two battery types, with the lithium acting as a charger.
There is a possibility of using a load-based function to stop the voltage sag of lead using the lithium, when large loads are applied.
I want to know any Naija man wey don do am.
I have connected an LFP and SLA together before, in parallel. It worked ok.

I set the CC settings to favour the lead acid though. The LFP BMS simply protects the lithium

Imagine at evening after work, fridge is on, family is microwaving, in the morning as early as 6am they are microwaving for school and me going to work yet lithium stands strong without sagging but gradual diplation...

Please why is Lead Acid still in the market?

My neighbor is asking that |I supply them power from my alternative to AEDC.

Please recommend a cheap but functional meter that I can use to ensure that I can monitor their consumption if anyone has been through this situation before.

Do we have it in the country or will I have to import?
There are smart energy monitors in country with switching function that can serve you . Pair it with a properly sized contactor for heavy loads.

Sometimes nobody will come cheesy
Then change location. There are places in Lagos where shops don't even have access to NEPA or gen use. I know a guy supplying more than 20 shops with electricity. Now imagine those who don't have shops, where will they charge their phones?

Location and scaling is what matters.

As a solar engineer, what type of solar solution will you give to a person who wants to delve into this business. Lets say (30) 15 watts usb points and (10) 33 watts usb points with (10) 10 watts usb points. Using solar panels and battery and during off peak sunlight hours, using generator or 100% solar usage..

lets say a daily patranage of 50 chargers at 200 naira each, which is 10k daily, what can you recommend for a starter
How many hours maximum, does a charging session last? That will help in sizing a system for you

I relocated and then I noticed my inverter no longer could hold a charge overnight.

After some troubleshooting

This is what we found:

Whenever the power trips off, the power from the inverter seems to be coming back to the inverter to charge the inverter causing the inverter to run constantly at 50% load and the batteries to self discharge (that is without any applied load from my end) in less than 3 hours.

Even after all appliances are switched off at the db level the 50% load remains.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Initial thoughts was someone is tapping the electricity illegally but our investigation has eliminated this as a possible reason.

Will continue troubleshooting tomorrow
I think you should reset the inverter if it has that feature. Or just take it to default mode.

Maybe some settings are fighting each other.

Planning to get one for my shop self. Omo d thing cost sha. 2kwh battery +1kwh inverter for 700k plus...

If not for the steep installation costs nd plenty materials (breakers etc), that 700k for fit tidy small proper inverter setup with a 2.5kwh Naija made lithium battery bank and a 2kwh hybrid inverter nd 400watts panel.
Do your self a favor, get bread 1.5kva hybrid, 3.6kwh battery. You will have some change and better value for money.

Meanwhile, I have the smaller version including 600w panel and installation for #570 if interested.

Good morning everyone, please what brand of 1.5kva 24v inverter can you recommend that is not noisy when in operation...??
Sachet inverters run their fan intermittently. If you are on a budget, don't mind the absence of internal charging, ups function and MPPT then you can get one.

Bro, my Sonnenschein battery bank still firing steady as we speak.
I'm about doing my first major turnaround and will post updates at the right time.
For those who think lead acid is a lost cause, sorry to disappoint but my batts have proven more resilient than would have been imagined.
Break the MYTH, dispel the BELIEF! You know you CAN!! wink grin
Lol...pound for pound, LFP batteries are better sha.

Especially with the drop in prices of LFP batteries? And increasing ease of getting cells and coupling? Lead acid should only be used as counterweights in gym houses. 😊

I currently run a patent medicine shop and I’m considering installing a backup power system. I’ve researched ecoflow power stations and I’m interested in the ecoflow DELTA 2 paired with a 600 W Jinko solar panel. Alternatively, I’ve been advised to consider a conventional inverter system with tubular batteries. Please recommend the option that best balances cost and durability. My typical load includes a 200 W refrigerator, two ceiling fans, one laptop, two POS terminals, eight energy-saving bulbs, three CCTV cameras, and a router.
You are looking at something with 1 or 2 days autonomy. You see that tubular ba, perish that thought.

Then confirm you have enough space for panels.

Oya go and use an app someone here shared to estimate your needs and design.

interesting and educating thread i must say. kudos guys.

which set would you guys suggest for me
1 130W fridge
1 43 inch tv
1 250W soundbar
6 light points
2 standing fans
1 PS4
2 laptops and a phone
i currently stay in a place where there is epileptic electricity.
plus i dont stay in a place for long due to the nature of my work.

i was looking at the ecoflow delta series. i dont know if it will suffice.
1.5kva hybrid
3.6kwh LFP
2kwp solar

It can be installed on a board so it's semi mobile.

Exactly what i said.
And i bought 3 of this for a client last year. Even paid 4m for one 😭😭. Just seeing their backup i didn't even need to open inside to know that the cells are undersized.
I regret buying it for them. Hope they can still do like 5-7 years them though.
It's actually terrible. I like cworth inverters, but these battery reviews are bad.

Funny enough I addressed these capacity issues with one of their marketers showing him proof from here, and be blankly told me that there's nothing wrong with their battery.

Pathetic.

Still on the renewable energy journey, many people mix it up at the very first stage; they neglect the importance of proper system sizing. I built this app to help solve this problem. You don't have to be a professional to use it.

The solar calculator is completely free. You can use the calculator via solarformation.com
I'll continue working on it and plan to achieve the other features listed on the landing page.
Nice.

I just tested the expert mode and it gave very similar system design to what I manually designed.

I'll like to do some feedback in your Whatsapp group, but comment is restricted to only admin.

There is a huge potential for that app.
