Gurus in the house,

I hail o.

Please how do you cool a solar system installed in an enclose space (i.e store) with no windows? That was the only place we saw fit to install without distorting the beauty of the interior design.

The set-up is 3 16kwh SRNE lithium batteries, 1 12kva SRNE inverter and charge controller .

Also, is this set-up noisy?
Hmmm, i'ld drop one 1hp AC there, and a standing fan just in case. Also all over temp protections on battery and inverter will be active. Stay safe.

16.8kwh, 1.7m
The equivalent in a wooden box is 1.550
Are the cells compressed with metal rigs inside?

How can one tell a genuine solar panel from substandard (brand new or used), how can I verify actual wattage?
Buy a solar panel tester and test it....or you can use a manual method of measuring Isc, Voc, and estimating the rated output using the fill-factor value.

If you like buy it next door, when issue arise it is then you will understand that closeness sometimes does not guarantee quick response when it comes to solar system.

Majority of all these stores just sell inverter batteries, when problem arising you will begin to hear stories why you are at fault and why it will take days to fix
And most likely now bring the matter to this same forum for help... 😂

Haba boss, i was even asking if the 5kwh was not too much for the total load of 528 watts, you come dey come up with 7.1kwh? Its well.

And by the way i am not doing the DIY ish, thanks.

Dem later collect 55k grin

The back crack only affects the outer layer glass of the back. If you rub your palm against it, there's no glass pieces tearing into your hands, meaning it's line crack. You'll only feel the crack if you rub the tip of your finger nails against the lines.

I only bought the one with the back crack
Makes sense. I would have picked both.

Thanks boss. Initially i wanted to go for a 5kwh 24v but because they are all over 1.2m is why i settled for 3.8kwh 12v.

But this evening i saw a deal of 5kwh 24v bread brand battery for 880k, and i want to go for it, with a 3.5kva hybrid inverter
Please is the battery size too much for the total load which is under 600 watts? And is bread a good brand? Thank you
So typically, when you install a power solution that brings comfort, your load increases. It is a well known trend, so based on that I'll say it's ok to use the 3.5kva inverter. Otherwise, the 1.5kw hybrids should be ok.

As for the battery, PLEASE BE SURE IT HAS FULL RATED CAPACITY AS STATED. There are a couple of assemblers and sellers here who already have good pedigree about the products they sell. Choose wisely

Please my experts in the house, between a Cworth 2.5kwh 24v and a 3.8kwh 12v which is better for a total watts load of 528watts?(freezer inclusive).
I suggest you do that 3.8kwh and a 12v hybrid like bread or haisic 1.5kva inverter. Better soup naim be that.

How can I sell my dead 12v BattlleBorn batteries?

Some of them have only 8ah left in them, 1 or 2 seem completely dead, and the last 2 have about 60-90ah in them, so not quite dead.

Wondering if I should take the completely dead ones to guys that buy car batteries

They’d probably price 15k even they have a BMS in them, chai
Why not open them up and see if you can salvage some cells and the working BMS for a good price in the used market.

My friend assisted with the connections, I did not thorughly inspect the final job, by that I mean the connections at each panel, I just saw that wires were apparently connected to all three panels, but one wire from Panel A to Panel C was not connected (the missing connection that I found out today)
Hmmm...so they are all in parallel config?

Never ever got more than 1.3kW from a possible total of 2.1kW.

Today I understood why.

1 of the 3 panels was not connected.

I have gotten 6mm wire to sort it out.

I totally recommend FY panels.

Will get more ASAP given that the test results are so good
Also is this bi-facial?

Lol.... Not sure if it is a bug from JK, but that was how my own started, now by evening it will just go to 0% even though I am sure the bank still has power, so I generally just ignore it.

The only other suspicion I have for its cause is that I know that one of the cells inside is failing, maybe that is what mine is reacting to, but na em know.
What brand is this, and how long has it been in service?

cworth is very good I just installed it and I must say I'm enjoying it so nay sayers are wrong
Cworth inverters give me value for money, and their after sales support is remarkable.

Used it for single and three phase installations, and once one developed a problem they replaced it with a brand new one.

it's really a challenge but I still feel it's cheaper to build than to buy branded batteries, though it may also depnds on where n how u source your materials. Let's use 10Kwh battery as a case study. With your less than 1.5m u can build a very good quality 10kWh lithium pack, where can u get a branded battery for even 1.8m? The price of my good quality capacity tested 3.2Ah LG cells hovers around 1k downward depending on the quantity. So let's do the maths. U need just around 910pcs of cells, thats if u take the cells capacity as 3Ah to achieve 10Kwh which amounts to 910k, don't compromise on good quality bms, use a very good quality smart bms like JK, which price ranges between 150k to 200k depending on the capacity sha, some even come with upto 2A active balancers. Active balancer is a very important component in battery building i wonder why some battery builders ignore balancers, 5A active balancer is around 25k or even less depending on where u get them. The other consumables like nickel strips, voltage display meter, terminals and good casing may not even cost upto 100k. Totaling everything results to something less than 1.3m where u wan see good branded 10kWh lithium battery for that kain amount?
Nice analysis. How many cycles would you put a used cell at? Give or take.

Small cars need about instant 300-500A to start.
Bigger cars, SUV and mini trucks (eg hilux) could need 500-1000A. Imagine going higher to big trucks and lorries.
Lead acid have no problem with that.
For a few seconds, your LFP will comfortably do that.

Someone mentioned Juno starter kits, yeah, that's LFP or li-ion at work.

You mean I’ll plug this charger to an ac outlet, connect it to a pwm controller, and then connect the controller output to the battery?

I’ve never heard of that before
Actually in the reverse order...battery to controller, controller to charger, charger to power source....na one day person de hear something new.

All in one solar power solution including free solar panels and installation if your roof is just above your ceiling (Lagos)

This is good for:

-Shops
-One room apartments with basic appliances
-Elderly parents that just need light and fan to move around
-Students
-online hustlers
-content creators

This will power a 32in LED TV, fan, a few energy bulbs for up to 5 hours if fully charged

No o. Lead acid. I have a feeling you can use it with a pwm controller suitable for LFP to charge sha.

Can this charger charge the battery when there’s light

Or can the 20a from an inbuilt sachet inverter work?
I have this charger. It served for some years until something burnt inside and the voltage doesn't regulate anymore. But it still works, so I use it while manually monitoring the voltage output for emergency cases.

It's the only charger still working out of the few types I got.

A silent observer here.

I just want to ask a general question.

Is there still any motivation to build 18650packs when it seems the price is already been rivaled by new LFP, factory made packs?

Tetralogyfallot...how much are your cells going for? To help give context to my question.
