An air strike on Ukrainian military training facilities in the early hours of Sunday has resulted in the liquidation of “up to 180 foreign mercenaries,” the Russian Ministry of Defense has announced.
The strike, conducted with use of “high-precision long-range weapons,” targeted “the training centers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” in the village of Starichi and at Yavoriv polygon.
According to the ministry’s spokesman Igor Konashenkov, these facilities served as “a base for the training and combat coordination of foreign mercenaries before they were sent to the combat zones to fight against Russian military personnel.” The sites were also being used to store, as Konashenkov put it, “weapons and military equipment coming from foreign countries.”
“As a result of the strike, up to 180 foreign mercenaries and a large quantity of foreign weapons were destroyed,” Konashenkov said.
He went on to warn that the destruction of foreign mercenaries arriving in Ukraine “would continue.”
Konashenkov’s claims were dismissed by Ukraine as “propaganda.”
“This is not the truth. Pure Russian propaganda,” Ukrainian Defense Ministry spokesperson Markiyan Lubkivsky told CNN.
In a message to the US TV channel, Lubkivsky said there were no foreigners confirmed among those killed at the Yavoriv base.
Earlier on Sunday the head of the Lviv regional military administration Maxim Kozitsky claimed that at least 35 people had been killed and more than 130 injured during overnight shelling of the Yavoriv military range, also known as the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security.
He claimed that around 30 missiles had been fired, with some “shot down in the air” by Ukrainian forces.
Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Alexey Reznikov confirmed there were some foreign instructors working at the center.

KFC specializes in products made from bio-engineered, hormone and antibiotics-fed chickens growing so fast they never learn to walk. The meat from such creatures will probably help accelerate your transition from "cisgender” to anything in the LGBTQ spectrum, whether you want it or not. Starbuck's specializes in something it dares to call coffee but that anyone who really knows and likes coffee will shun.

All those companies are leaving Russia, which means that the Russian public will no longer be tempted to indulge in food that is not food and coffee that is not coffee.

In one fell swoop, Russia is being liberated from foreign commercial colonization. It should be the envy of every thinking person in the world. I am sure that many in the "West” would want to be liberated as well.

No longer will Russians be enticed to buy overpriced garbage from the "West,” whether food, furniture, shoes, coffee, beer or clothes. I am sure they will be all the healthier for it.

Operation "Z” in the Ukraine is therefore proving to be a war of liberation for the Russians themselves as well. Many in the "West” will be hoping in secret that the Russians will not stop once they have denazified the Ukraine and that they will continue to free the US vassals in NATO and EU from their transatlantic overlords.

After all, Russians (including White Russians and Little Russians, as Ukrainians used to be called before the First World War), Germans, Frenchmen, Scandinavians, Iberians, Italians, Greeks, Western and South Slavs are all Europeans, neighbors, and ultimately also family.

The West celebrated too early that Putins plans were not working after just one week of invasion. I kept telling people Putin was trying to minimise civilian casualty and give them time to escape to other weeks. In the coming days we shall witness the Russian army full deployment. The government has said that all 11 countries will be removed from the UK's travel red list from 4am on Wednesday.
Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe are on the list.
The red list was reintroduced in late November as a precaution after the emergence of the Omicron variant.
But Health Secretary Sajid Javid said it had spread so widely the rules no longer had much purpose.
"Now that there is community transmission of Omicron in the UK and Omicron has spread so widely across the world, the travel red list is now less effective in slowing the incursion of Omicron from abroad," he told Parliament.
"Whilst we will maintain our temporary testing measures for international travel we will be removing all 11 countries from the travel red list effective from 4am tomorrow morning."

What tests do I need if I travel abroad?
All UK arrivals from red list countries are required to pay for and self-isolate in a pre-booked, government-approved hotel for 10 days.
But with all 11 countries being removed from that list, it was confirmed that those currently in managed quarantine would be allowed to leave early and "follow the rules as if they had arrived from a non-red list country".
Some travellers had paid thousands of pounds to stay in government-approved quarantine hotels, with complaints of chaotic organisation and inedible food during their stays.
Anyone who has tested positive will to remain in isolation, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Stephen Barclay told the House of Commons.
Mr Javid also said earlier he was "very persuaded" by calls to reimburse people and hoped to make an announcement on that soon.

The point of putting countries on the red list was to act quickly to slow the spread of Omicron.
Now it has spread in the community, the government doesn't think putting people from a limited list of countries in hotels is useful.
It will be welcome news to people with plans to come to the UK from countries like South Africa and Nigeria, or who had delayed their return from those countries.
But it will be frustrating for those who did get caught up in the revival of the red list, which only started about a fortnight ago. Some people who have already paid for hotel stays want to see the government pay their costs.
The travel industry wants all restrictions removed. Businesses see testing measures as putting a dampener on their recovery. It seems the government is not prepared to go that far, just yet.
This will make travel companies, who normally benefit from a holiday booking rush in late December and early January, feel nervous.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said these testing measures would be reviewed in the first week of January.
"As always, we keep all our travel measures under review and we may impose new restrictions should there be a need to do so to protect public health," he said on Twitter.

According to Kremlin's official spokesman Dmitry Peskov, such reports can only escalate tensions for no reason.
