Seyi Makinde will just be like another distraction. He is as useful to Tinubu's second term ambition as Wike was to his first term. Makinde was in the same class with Wike in G-5. legitnow1:I was trying to edit my comment before you quoted me. Look at the screenshots from NYT. I traveled recently and I remember the headline when I landed, it was a fairytale story. What South Africans don't realize is that immigration is a strong issue globally that has created election topics from Italy to USA to almost everywhere. Western Europe is trying to manage far right nationalists and globalists. Even in Arab countries, people are showing their racism and calling it out. Now, I was saying Nigeria had a strong foreign policy especially under military rule. One of our Presidents was assassinated because he stood by Angola. What USA does is what Nigeria does for Africa until recently. We still do it today but our governments have not thought about how to milk it and tell our stories. Obasanjo was the last President who took foreign policy and our image abroad seriously. Now I say South Africans are playing into our hands because in the early 70s, Nigeria would have turned this girl to a model. Nigeria had that statement where it said anyone who is of African origin anywhere in the world can call Nigeria home. Have you forgotten that Abiola was making noise about reparation during elections and the US Black advocates were supporting him. I will show you one Fela video where he was talking about how the U.S. fellas worked with Nigerians for the African United States. Nigeria is just sleeping but when it wakes up, the world will be afraid. Again, our governments have not been serious lately so South Africa gave this away cheap! 1 Like |

You don't tell a better fairy tale than this girl's story. A strong point for her success is dual citizenship or withdrawn citizenship. Whichever way her story helps to bring attention to the pageants 'solving problems'. Another Malala in the making. it will affect South Africa's foreign policy more than Nigeria. South Africans don't know that Nigeria had a foreign policy which stated for a long time that AFRICA IS THE CENTREPIECE OF NIGERIA'S FOREIGN POLICY This is why Liberia, Mozambique, SIERRA Leone and other nations will keep thanking us. Unfortunately for South Africa, all these controversies will make her win. In fact, her campaign has a marketable mileage and I trust people to milk on it. Her campaign statement is strong. Steve Harvey made the pageant stronger with his mistake, who will not want the traction Chidinma has gained. She will become an ambassador against hate, divide and discrimination. She is as useful to Nigeria as she is useful to South Africa because her story cuts through races..There are stateless people in the world, I pray South Africans don't lead her towards Nobel Peace Prize with the way they are going.The world is going through so much wars from Gaza to Kyiv to Juba.
