humans will discipline you sometimes, they will tell you NO.

They will control you or let's say, they will regulate you.

TravelRe: Nigeria Man Answers Question About Black Folks Not Helping Each Other Abroad by trium: 12:44pm On Oct 19, 2024
imustsaymymindo:
Africans were/are the most united beings ever.

We learnt most of these acts adopting their government, religions, social structure, and culture.

It seems we are worse, because now that we have adapted these things, it only favors a few. So all man has to live for himself.

If you want to verify, go to any deep culture rooted African village and tell me where you find such unity.
I was following you until the last paragraph. There's a reason why Africans are communal in nature. Colonialist tried to destroy that.

Even till date, many women will tell you why the African community is important to them when they have kids abroad or when they get into trouble. You know negative news sells faster and looks like the norm but get into trouble or need help and you'll know the true meaning of Ubuntu.

Why do you think foreigners come to most African countries and say the people are so hospitable? As bad as Nigeria is, go and watch a recent vlog of a foreigner and hear what they say about the people being welcoming. It is second nature and part of life. Economy and foreign systems have poisoned our ways. We don't expect, we give. Life is not about money and the material things they try to sell is today.

Abroad, it's cold! It's cold out there mate. In the weather and the behaviour, no one cares about you. I pray you don't find out.

I have a book that said something about how Africans are not commercial, it is just like the indigenous peoples. We value nature and simple things of life, then the white man came, he was astonished by this. How can we not trade those things? Am I blaming the white man? No but I can tell you that the white man had a huge role and still plays a huge role in how we see ourselves. For instance, black is a misnomer. I am not black, if you call yourself black, goodluck. In Nigeria here, we know we are not black, it is Americans who know why they call their people black. Many Africans tellyou they don't know they are black until they go to the states. Go to Europe, you are called negro, the old age term from negroid. Now, do you know Asians were once called black in UK until the 1970shuh grin

Many projections of AAs hating akatas but I can tell you that within the AA, there are those who have a poor thinking and still cause problems. As I grew older in life, I got to know distinctively that there are only good people andbad people in this world, the world will try to divide you all the time until you find the truth.

It's good to know your history.

I understand her but we have to be careful here in matters of intimacy.

Can a woman get pregnant with pre cum? Yes. This is for teenagers and young adults who are not educated enough about sex and think that stroking or smooching is a safe way of abstinence.

Can a woman get pregnant with a condom? Yes. Every condom manufacturer always write that condom is not 100% safe. The condom if not worn properly can be damaged or not protect you.

Can a woman get pregnant without a condom? Yes. This is the normal way of procreation but from time memorial, we had natural ways, part of which is withdrawal method and calendar method. Some women still don't get pregnant despite this.

I dare say that this topic is strictly for married couples only and in Africa, marriage is not just 2 lovers, it is 2 families so this is not an internet matter. Whatever the family planning method they use, it is a family affair to decide how they want their sexual matters handled. We are not there when in the heat of the moment, the woman wants raw or how she and her husband agreed to have sex. Please let's be careful how some women start to disturb us with issues our traditions have taken care of a long time ago.

He opined that almost everyone in Nigeria is just working for themselves with no one working for the good of the country.
Nigerians are always about self, self , self. Everyone is looking for themselves. I started seeing how people do not care about community but themself.

Let me give you an example, go to a highbrow estate, let them talk about waste on the streets. You will see that man with a big car thay you think has sense be the first to step out or say he has money to do better things. Since he has money to contract a private person to clear the waste in his house, he really does not care about the net impact on his community. He has made enough money to solve his problem. This is how we started solving our problems ourselves, we pay for private education, private food, private security, private light, private water, private jet, private everything. Even japa, we all want to succeed privately until people get a mental reset to see that the things they pursue is not what life is all about, you cannot succeed alone. Look at our politicians, after fighting to get to power, they steal to stash our funds abroad and for their family and friends. They want to be rich first, there is an explanation for this mentality in the BBC show Zeinab Bedawi did, watch the man who speaks from 38:10. No one cares about community be cause it's not their business. We need a moral revolution.

I get a sense too that some folks in government who should have a sense of urgency are NOT doing so by releasing urgent funds for this CNG project for the trains because they do NOT seem to understand fully that time wasting can trigger a major social unrest that they will NOT be able to control. Worse case scenario, a military coup can occur right out of that social unrest, and based off of the fact that military dictatorships in Nigeria are far WORSE because they have been very corrupt and repressive of free speech in the decades padt, it's better for these politicians to NOT take the folks for granted because the solutions to make the economy robust and reduce hyperinflation are RIGHT there in front of everyone to see. It's just for these guys from the Presidency and the Governors to "just do it!"
I would have thought that ENDSARS would have opened everyone's eyes. If you lived among the masses, those who were able to bring their communities to calm were those who provided food before the 20.20.20 shootings. These are private efforts and shows you how man can be tamed if food is provided.

I read some weeks ago some people calling out APC for this palliative and rice distribution. That thing started during COVID and it is a lazy form of governance sponsored by then PDP Governor Ayo Fayose's Stomach Infrastructure. Politicians have seized the hunger in the land as an opportunity to notice me for the next election. It is not sustainable and long term. I urge all parties irrespective of political ideology to see this as an emergency to rescue Nigeria before it is too late. Nigeria must produce again.

The documentaries of the 60s make me sad because even with the manual labour, we were arull producing. Today, we hardly produce but we want to use the best cars, phones and gadgets. Production will keep our youth busy and we can export. See Nigeria that used to give food to other African countries in the past cry

Giant of Africa title was earned by our production and charity to the rest of Africa.

Same for a man.

Any addiction to unnatural things, including masturbation can affect the natural enjoyment of sexual intimacy. That is why men and women demand the impossible things they see in porn from their partners.

I am not saying that people don't need these things once in a while but an addiction is dangerous because you will not see the need for the wahala of human beings.

CelebritiesRe: Nollywood Actors Robbed On Set While Filming by trium:
People attacking that first guy who responded to the OP, I think fear has to do with age. When I was a younger age, I fought off 2 guys with guns. One attacked me from the back, the second put a gun to my head. I was too angry that I fought one of them before they both ran away. I was too angry that night because I was not ready to lose my items even though, when reflecting, it was not worth my life but I still fought them. They ran away after they met my resistance.

Fast forward to 10 years later when I had family to take care of, I cooperated with the stupid young boys that came to rob my home. Those boys are old enough to be my kids but I obeyed them, no resistance because I had family to protect. I was the one who took them to where the money was, I remember a banker once advised me to have cash at home for things like this. This is where I agree with the poster who said the women will increase fear because men will calculate the collateral damages if they act like rambo. Women were more valuable to me than to fight those boys. God forbid, what if those boys wanted to rape them? I will fight them to my last breath because over my dead body. Let them have whatever they want except my women. I could now prioritize what was more important to me than fighting them. Thieves also assess their potential victims before robbing, they know men like them can do anyhow so they too assess the risks before operation and look for the weak point. One man or a group of men can act like soldiers if the scenario presents itself. Why do you think men die young? We take risks, we die heroes and we are natural protectors.

Both events occured in the dark. The first one, there was even streetlight to see them. Different things work in different ways. Some people have died from the first incident, some people survived the second if they attacked. This life.

Can we take this up like a food emergencyhuh

I don't see any reason for palliatives. Let us delcare a state of emergency first people must eat first to survive. Even the man without a house still looks for food first. I cited Tinubu's jet earlier but that does not absolve the others, LG councillors and Chairs, State Governors and everyone in a position of leadership.

If those food delivery trucks and trailers in the uploaded image and elsewhere have dual CNG-gasoline hybrid fuel installed in them, that would instantly drive the cost of haulage and food sold in the markets down. Nigeria is more if a gas-producing country than a crude oil country because of the massive gas reserves which have more value in USD than the fast-depleting crude oil reserves.

With the geopolitical tensions and war between the Israeli on one hand and Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Iran on the other hand, if things escalate further and Israel massively bombs Iran as planned, the international price per barrel of crude oil will further rise thereby causing a massive spike in the pump price in many countries and also make absolute nonsense of the cost of feeding and transportation that folks in Nigeria are currently complaining about. A rapid and massive deployment of CNG (methane) fuel [which is far cheaper than PMS at N200 to N230 per standard cubic feet of CNG from NNPC and NIPCO CNG refill stations] and CNG conversion kits or outrightly purchase already factory-produced large CNG trucks and buses by the states such as Niger, Kano, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Delta, Edo, Imo, Rivers, etc, and the central government is what would prevent the spread of more hyperinflation thereby making nonsense of the so-called minimum wage that is being implemented by some states.

The hyperinflation though is LARGELY a mix of artificial inflation due to greed and speculations, illegal toll collection by revenue agents on interstate routes, and illegal checkpoints where some security agents collect bribes. These have gone on unchecked for years since the days of the brutal military dictatorships in Nigeria, and have to be tackled immediately by the governments at all levels in order to remove these food distribution inefficiencies on interstate routes. Period.
