Folks, find out why gay people could not donate blood and argue with the science all you want? I pray you don't waste your lives to find out the dangers of a mental illness. Let them paint it as they want. Fact remains fact. It does no good to Africans but raise selfish ingrates who want to destroy earth.

Homosexuality is scientific, homophobia is your dumb papas folklore.

Only in Dumb-geria is homosexuality born through grandpa storytelling 😂😂😂

You're so still fvcking living in the stone age, no wonder your president is 100 years old and the previous one was on life support and living on Sudanese blood transfusions 😂😂😂
The bolded shows that you are not connected to your roots. You are only exposing your ignorance if you laugh at folklore and storytelling that is Africa's way of passing messages from one generation to the other. I feel sorry for you. Did you notice that I asked about your grandparents? Don't worry, you can't understand. God bless you on your journey of self discovery

Remind us again how you want modern Nigeria to deal with gays. Through death, right? Your usual bloodthirsty homophobic mobs?
You miserable homophobes are still to demonstrate how the measley 3% global gay population has destroyed society.
If that person went through a family, a community and society, they will never end up gay. If they imported rubbish ideas like they are dumping on you in SA to go d444k yourselves and waste your lives, they may turn out gay. I asked you if it is a South African practice, you are yet to answer. You think I care about your insultshuh cheesy grin cheesy cheesy

RandDigital, were people from your father or mother's side gay?

Did any of your grandparents share this tradition with you? I want to know

Share with me your real life story like I shared with you.

If you like, argue till tomorrow. Those of us who studied history know that you can lie for 100 years, it takes 1 day for it to be broken. Gayism is a mental illness. You can rewrite the condition, APA can delete it that it is not but we don't want mental illnesses with us. Thanks but no thanks

No, because your grandparents were homophobes and so are you. This time around LGBTI community are vocal.

Go announce at your papas graveside, Caveman.
You are all about attack and it shows are insecure you are. I am asking you about your South African traditions and it was an opportunity for you to show me your history, instead you went for attack. In my family, in my culture, in my community, in my ancestry, we never had a record of gayism and I am bold to let you know. Calling it homophobe is a deflection, maybe you guys did but my people believe in building families and they know that only a bastard would cut that off. This is how we were able to pass stories from one generation to the other. We celebrated life, we celebrated weddings, we gave back to earth. My people were in the medical profession to know that some mental conditions needed treatment, one of it is same sex attraction. Our community was not selfish to earth, it gave back to it. Gayism is not in our tradition, you can call it homophobia but I cannot control how you interpret our customs and traditions. Thank you.

The findings, released this week, reveal a growing recognition among young South Africans of the importance of equality and protections for LGBTQ+ individuals, setting the country apart as a leader in LGBTQ+ acceptance in Africa.
But they can't accept the equality of their follow Africans

I've not seen countries like Indonesia and Malaysia blame Islam, an Arab religion for their development. I am singling these 2 countries out because if you know their history, they wereand still are traditional people until Islam came to them through trade. But Islam will be blamed for Pakistan, Somalia and whathaveyou.

What am I saying? I think people don't like to look into the mirror, they always want to blame other things for their failures but themselves.

So, a Nigerian truly made 10m pounds from Nigeria and decided to donate it to a school abroad to improve their educational system and reduce tuiton for their oyinbo children while he charges an arm and a limb for local students to attend the school established, in the country where he made the money from?

Hhmmm!! Slavery...slavery...slavery....

...and a lot of africans still believe the Europeans actualy came to capture africans as slaves....not knowing the reverse was the case.
grin grin grin

Not in his defence, he has ABU - Afe Babalola University.

Just saying. I know a former militant who set his own in a neighbouring country.

A former first lady did the same.

Our former presidents and vice have done something in Nigeria.

What does it say about our elites? They believe in creating their own than to build on the existing structure. If people had put in so much to public universities and setup trusts funds, invested in our education, we will be in a different discussion board right now. We have a portable generator mindset and our elites are not different. Nigerians don't like to solve problems as a collective, we'd rather solve our own problems individually and create an ecosystem within the ecosysttem

Average Nigerians don't read, they prefer someone to give them gist. How could they have fallen into his hands? You've made the book popular and the accusation grow.

I have heard Dele talk about this before the elections but it was never popular. I think when he went to Channels, he repeated it 2 months ago when Laolu Akande interviewed him. He had said he didn't want to talk about it because it was in his book but Laolu pressed further, making him recall the story for posterity.

If you watch this video from 26:25, Laolu introduces this allegation, that he read it in the book and wanted Dele to speak about it. It is even bigger than AB. Our corrupt elite won't want to be casted by this story

Okay, no need to be upset. I am sorry if you think I did. I never did.

I am a lifelong learner. I know about your historical use but for the purposes of this thread, I don't think there is need to take out those words because whether we like it or not, it is used in Nigeria and that's how the OED took it. There are words borrowed from various languages and used today even if Hausa have a name for it or Tivs have one.

Accept my apology
EducationRe: Old English Only The Igbos Still Use In Nigeria by trium: 9:08pm On Dec 03, 2024
Idonweak:
Calling it Nigerian English is stripping them of their identity, you're implying that the words are borrowed from English and I'm correcting you that those words existed pre colonial era. Akara in yoruba translate to the food we count to buy while moin-moin translate to the food that sticks to the teeth , as you can't eat moin-moin without the particles remaining in your teeth. Now tell me, how does this have anything to do with English?
If the British could borrow French words to add to their dictionary, despite their rivalry, what is the raison d'etre?

Bro, I know the history behind those words. NO ONE IS TRYING TO PLAY ANY STUPID GAMES. AKARA AND MOI-MOI ARE YORUBA WORDS. I DON'T GIVE A FVCK ABOUT ANY STUPID CONTEST YOU INVOLVE YOURSELF IN.
Your choice of words tell me about who is writing.

Are those words Nigerian words or nothuh

They are not Nigerian, they are Yoruba. Go and argue with OED to remove all words there you don't like. At least they have their dictionary.
