NYSC is a HUGE test of fidelity, fact! If your relationship is one of the few that survived after University and all, then it is very likely that NYSC will deal it a lethal blow and bury it finally. If you are the faithful and disciplined type, NYSC experiences may make you swear off Marriage and the opposite sex and/or mistrust them for a long time or forever. I'm being realistic. You need to be the God fearing and no-nonsense type to pull relationships as such off. ORIENTATION CAMP While I was in camp, I was part of the Camp Security (Corps) which exposed me to many possibilities. During briefings by the CSO, we are usually told to keep keen eyes especially in the night, because despite the security lamps all over, people have sex place in weird places like treetops, on the plain fields, like dogs, and it does not exclude the engaged and married ones. ![]() Plus the CSO made us know that lesbianism is rife in camp, as some skip parades and remain in the hostel, and lockup the whole place while engaging in such abomination. ![]() During the second and final week on camp, it is not uncommon to know that many girls sleep with different "officials" in order to get juicy postings, and many end up being disappointed, and cry on the day the list is out, as they are only used. I got to know this, as my female security colleague told me that how was I able to get a "top" place where even girls that have slept their way through yet, they didn't get those place. I just dey look her say not everyone will lose their dignity to secure juicy positions. So, if your partner tell you that she's in the quarter guard or a "flag holder" for the overall parade, dey take one eye look her o (only the strongest survive). One of my colleagues in school was a "flag holder", and after the event, she was called aside by one of the female "scouts" for the Oga at the top, they wanted to get her number, so she'll be posted to one of the top places she'll be servicing those "Ogas". I observed the event, and knowing how impressionable many women are, I quickly called her aside, and like a brother, I repeatedly cautioned her to reject the advances or at worst, give them a number you no longer use. Thank God she's the disciplined type, she was able to escape the onslaught. NYSC SERVICE PROPER It is not uncommon to find Corp members having live-in relationships even if they have other partners elsewhere (Those who have served know what I'm saying). They'll cook, clean and engage in various activities meant for Married people. Corp members will be with their trysts, and still be speaking to their partners on phone. Very disgusting. Some Corp members especially ladies will even tell you that they want to enjoy their lives before going back home. (Enjoyment here to them means fornicating, indiscriminate partying and generally being stupid). Some will still try to task their fellow Corpers and in order to keep up with their habits they keep many partners. For guys, if you meet a Corp Member-lady that is ready for marriage and if you will not be ready anytime soon, ensure not to mess her up by eating her food...and bouncing off. It is plain wickedness. And if you are ready, ensure she's mature and not the type that still "wants to enjoy". Once you are out of camp, and you see your fellow lady Corp members in very juicy positions, it's a warning flag, though not all are guilty, but steer clear of them unless when necessary. WORD If you are the faithful and disciplined type, please keep it up and don't ever let your standards down especially if you are a lady. You can meet your future partner during NYSC period, but be very careful and let them know that you don't sleep around and engage in stupid games. If you are a man, and you have a spouse, please don't start forming "I trust her" etc. CHECK on her from time to time, sometimes unannounced and try to make friends with her fellow Corp members who will be useful in giving you info, should they suspect and/or confirm any crap. You are not being insecure, you are being wise and careful. Don't let anyone manipulate you by telling you that you are jealous bla bla bla. Don't buy into that. Lastly, if you are the type that sleep around with other peoples spouse and partner, desist from causing others pain, even if the other person is willing, shameful and stupid. Else, sooner or later, you'll be paid back in your own coins. |
Abdulbaaqi21:Salaam Brother. I saw that you tried to pm me. Here's the number of the group admin: Try messaging him on Whatsapp. |
profsein007:Nice one bro! Let's all keep up with the optimism. |
Let's all hang-on till January. I just saw one of their recent advert for Market Sales Reps and Brand Ambassador for one of the Subsidiaries - Saro Lifecare limited in which the deadline is 24th of this month and 4th of January respectively. My guess is since it is not uncommon for individuals to switch Jobs at the end of the month, it is likely that they decided to wait till the end of this fiscal year to know if some people will be resigning and again, they may be trying to complete the recruitment process at once for the various subsidiaries they own. In addition, I feel the recent adoption of an assessment center is an improvement to the recruitment process, so they may have harmonized certain stages together, hence need to take time and make the whole exercise worthwhile. God's willing, success will be ours. |
Why do this to a small kid who is still a baby in many respect. Kids should be treated with extra care and tenderness or you'll have a broken adult later in life. Even corrections have to be effected mildly. The teacher should be given a stern warning, and heavily punished if further cases ensues. |
Today is: Yawm Al-Arba (Wednesday) 27 Rabi Al-Awwal, 1440. Salam. |
Dillusion or delusion is more or less the samething. |
profsein007:Anytime! |
profsein007:We should be on the lookout for mails from next week possibly, going by previous posts on their last recruitment exercise. |
profsein007:That's nice. Mine was on Friday, same centre. I believe not all applicants attended the interview, so scores of numbers would have been skipped. |
profsein007:Hi. I'm one of the participants too. Which centre was that, and what is your estimate of the population. Besides, there is a 2yr old thread running on this. Check it out below: https://www.nairaland.com/3317688/saro-africa-online-aptitude-test/24#73346146 |
umevi:Message him on Whatsapp |
umevi:Sorry for that. I'll help you obtain the Whatsapp number in a Jiffy. |
lacifer:Welcome bro |
lacifer:Okay. Since you've filled it, let's expect a positive response from them. |
lacifer:That's sounds to me like the Pre-interview form. If it is, I'm surprised that you were not sent an invite. Peruse your Spam box, let's see if there's anything like an invite. |
lacifer:When did you applied, and what was did name of the form? |
umevi:Yes, another aptitude test. |
PhizyGodlove:You are yet to get Any response? It could be that you were not selected OR you are being scheduled for another batch, maybe. There was a two-days assessment last week; Thursday and Friday. It included : Presentation, Test (aptitude), Group presentation and finally, a panel Interview. All in All, don't lose hope yet |
PhizyGodlove:I wrote mine some two weeks ago. Or you meant the Assessment Centre exercise? |
bowintrillz:Wow, we are about the same number too, I think 30/31. I did mine in Abuja. Day 2. |
bowintrillz:It was really nice, very standard for a Nigerian firm or should I say a budding Multinational. They were really taking note of many aspects o. With the AC exercise, I believe the later part of recruitment exercise may not as slow as the immediate past one. During the interview, they were interested in some details than others... Between, we're you all up till 40 in your AC? |
Saroafrica International made a lot of adjustments in their recruitment exercise unlike what I've read from previous posts. However, let's all be hopeful and optimistic. How was your tests @ Trumpdesigns, Dave06, Chrisata94, Floratutu, Bowintrillz, Physise, PhizyGodlove and others? |
bowintrillz:That's nice. Trumpdesigns created a Whatsapp group for applicants. The link is below: https://www.nairaland.com/4849284/saroafrica-graduate-trainees-2019-group |
