Gambling is totally evil. Gambling has one thing in common with other vices: ADDICTION! It should not be shocking to anyone that bettors are usually addicted to other vices like drinking and pornography.

It kills the bettor's mind. It makes them lazy and looking for the easiest way out. They sell their valuables in hope to win. Nobody really wins except the Betting house. Some youths with decent money will rather bet than start anything at all. You want to earn without really working that is what gives birth to problems.....

To Bettors: Take hold of your life and stop betting!

Politics / Re: Arewa Youths Back Atiku On Fuel Price Reduction by Trottle: 9:19pm On Nov 03, 2018
Okay.

But Nigerians now need to start putting ALL class and levels of politicians on a very hot seat! We should start having debates, each candidate should state their area of comparative advantages, and their plan to move the country forward. At this point in time, press releases and word of mouth is not enough.
Politics / Re: Minimum Wage Above N22,500 Will Lead To Inflation, Says Group by Trottle: 9:06pm On Nov 03, 2018
The economic and political system operated in modern day Nigeria cannot be found in any book, it has no name!

What we should be clamouring for is the crash in price of goods by tackling some of the causative factors and not Minimum wage (yet).

Reduction is price of PMS and other derivatives. Few years ago, there were talks on modular refineries which will OBVIOUSLY put us on a part to self-sufficiency in PMS etc. If we had gotten all the modular refineries ready and operational, and we were able to fall the price of PMS etc. by 25-45%, price must fall, coupled with the fact that we will be saving all the money on subsidy. This money can be cancelled into other endeavors; electricity, road, school and healthcare, and when seriously tackled, we will definitely be singing a new tune, as the purchasing power will have increased at least

We have food items in different regions wasting away, yet we still import those food items from other countries! Government cannot only create laws without ways of effecting it, price will definitely sky rocket, and smugglers will have a field day.

A focused government should create special collection and storage facilities, task the appropriate officials to make a list of all locations where such occurs (or not) and BUY those products from the farmers, then resell at a controlled, fixed price, and export when there is sufficiency and/or store them with advanced methods so as to ensure availability both on season and off season. The farmers will be elated and produce more that way which means we are on a fast track to sufficiency.

In summary:
1. Create and Sustain the much touted modular refinery, which will ensure sufficiency and thereby saving our funds.

2. Plough the saved funds to resuscitate critical areas of the economy

3. Create avenue to buy our Agro produce from our dear farmers, set the price and ensure market availability, farmers will be motivated to produce more hence, sufficiency.

The points above (though few) will massively better the lives of Nigerians. But No, we are all about how to secure various position by hook or crook.

However, the truth remains that IF minimum wage is increased, in few years time, we will find ourselves in this same spot with a harsher economic reality.

We really have a long way to go in this country, and not until we start being logical and less emotional, we will still run around in circles.

@Fx Khalifa,

I don't think the Jinns "see" Lahul Mahfuz. Due to their nature and habitat. For beings who can only go as high as the exosphere, and Lahul Mahfuz is totally not within their purview. I think the best they can do is obtain snippets (by listening to the discussion of the Angels) and that to bodes a very dangerous consequence for them.

Let the Sheikhs expantiate for us.

Islam for Muslims / Re: ...... by Trottle: 2:32pm On Oct 30, 2018
Fkhalifa:
I'll like to know more about the Jinn Qarin, how true is it that jinns see what's in laul mafhuz? and how do the witches fly?

Keep up the good works Sheikhs!

@Fkhalifa, it is common knowledge that your Jinn is your intimate companion in the other world, many of them are unbelievers, however, Allah can choose to bless you with a believing Jinn.

What is uncommon knowledge (among average Muslims) is that your Jinn can be engineered and swapped to work for another Jinn (as posited by Sheikh Ikupakuti) VERY REAL. Hence the need to protect yourself by extension the Jinn too.

This leads me to the importance of Suratul Mulk, and the need to be very careful of the friends and companions we keep especial sisters.

There was this Jambito Sister sometimes last year or two. She just gained admission at that time in one of the third generation Federal University. As we know how fresh entry into Uni be very draining financially.

Luckily or (unluckily for her), one of her Senior colleagues (School mama people) took a liking to her maybe due to the fact that they belong to the same linguistic group... or more perhaps. Despite the current financial constraint, the Jambito sister wanted to get a place of her own, and effort were already to that effect, but the Senior colleague persuaded and persuaded her to stay with her. This School mama is asmathic and also plagued by its relateds. Let me mention that the "Jambito" sister is quite bright academically. She started staying with the School mama, and they both related well.

During the semester, the other Jambito realised that despite her hard work and demonstration of intellectual prowess, she was not progress, falling grades here and there. Meanwhile, the other sister with say over two decades long asthma and other breathing problems started clearing off, a great improvement from the aliment.

The semester ended for the with woeful grades, while the later had her problems gone.

This Jambito during the Semester break, we got talking, regularly, and we sure do talk about the afterlife a lot, and Barzakh too. So one of this talks that I introduced Suratul Mulk to her, as a means to avoid Azab of the grave... She stuck with the Surah and it became top Surah.

After the Semester break, she continued to stay with the School mother, while she also stuck with the Surah. During mid-semester break or so, they began to have series of fight (which I consider to be ladies intolerance and fickleness) where the School mother alledged that the Jambito was rude, disrespectful and so forth. Tall and Short, she threw the Jambito out and cold. She later had to squat for the rest of the semester with a close colleagues. Before the semester ended, she witnessed an improvement in her grades.

On getting home for the second semester break to resume another level, she paid a courtesy visit to her Mualim, and it was there she revealed all she went through. The Mualim staunchly believes in Dua and Sadaqah, embarked on special Dua for her and made her at ease. However, he had to inform her mum later that something sinister happened which she out of her naivety was oblivious of. The other lady actually made the former's QARIN to work for her (her aliment) while her own was swapped and given to the later!!! shocked

How she did it, I still can't say (most likely she was into one of the occultic group OR her mum maybe there, but I suspect it may be both). I learnt that O ri ę ko gbà Abodé- her QARIN was bright and strong, and ultimately, Allah's Rahma (through Surah Al Mulk? Allahu Alam).

Now from my deductions, it could be possible for some of them that "belong" to read you like a notebook at first meeting, and if your Jinn is weak and could easily be compelled, coupled with the fact that you are not prayerful, you could terribly suffer.

Subsequent Semesters, the Jambito's grade have now improved, in fact, towering, and the school mama is now apologizing for her I'll treatment and asking her to come back (to finish the work abi? grin Or perhaps she has witnessed another resurgence of her aliment... Allahu Alam).

This sister doesn't know of this revelation, however, she has really stucked with the Surah.

Your post is really straight to the point and your observations are all correct. The behaviour you described is what Ex President IBB called "the Nigerian Factor". The Nigerian Factor was considered by his Military Government in things that involved planning and application of models and systems that had worked perfectly in other countries to Nigeria. They usually didn't work in this country unless tailored to our environment.

Hence, I am not a proponent of democracy as practiced abroad at this time because we abuse it. I am also not a proponent of Human Rights as practiced in the more civilised parts of the world. It doesn't work for us currently, as is evident around us.

The long and better fix would be a revamping of our educational system, with mass sensitisation of the populace. This will take at least a generation.

The quick fix would be a patriotic, but strict, detribalised and BRUTAL military regime for 10 to 15 years!

I know most won't agree with me, but remember that we are a people that have and are constantly glorifying and choosing corruption over more noble ideas and deeds.

For example, in the PDP Presidential Primaries amongst the candidates was Dr Datti Ahmed who was (in my opinion) the best candidate for a progressive Nigeria. He polled only 5 votes because he couldn't make "Dollar Rain".

I wish I could 'like' your post multiples times, very similar to my position.

In sane Countries Dr. Ahmed will be rooted for massively, but instead, they chose a "dollar man". I repeat, until a Patriotic, disciplined and no nonsense leader is massively supported, we are going no where. Nigeria does not need a "politically correct " leader.
Nairaland / General / Re: Something Is Generally Wrong With Nigerians!!! by Trottle: 8:37am On Oct 22, 2018
Nigerian constitute bulk of the problem of Nigeria. Greed, Selfishness, Disorderliness, Cowardice and lack of patriotism are also as deadly as poverty. We deserve all kinds and manners of leaders we have till we change ourselves!

Honestly, we need the re-institution of War against Indiscipline (WAI) by our PATRIOTIC leaders. Simple queueing at the ATM stand is algebra to us, and we end up wasting time more time than we bargain for.

Even while driving, disorderliness ensue and eats up the time!

Even when dustbins are provided in various strategic location, it's either the officer in-charge let's it get overloaded with debris or the citizens do not obey the laws or outrightly steal it.

War against Indiscipline (WAI) can be brought back again, no matter the president in power. Instilling discipline to a grown person is like weaning an addict of the addiction; it takes time, firmness, no hesitation to use a disciplinary measures and adopting a non compromising stance. Nigeria should not take the Liberal approach towards Indiscipline!

This one hard gaan.

Very few places are free from evil and satanism o. It is very real, and you are at your weakest when you are not a prayerful person. Ironically, a prayerful person ranks high on their "hit list ", and they'll prey on any little opportunity when you back track a little spiritually.

how many kg are in each bag?

@Jackslow,

Using the common bagging style, you'll get 100 kg in each bag. So 10 bags= 1 ton.

The uncommon style is that bagging of the product in 50 kg bags (Cement bag lookalike). In this style 20 bags= 1 ton.

However, you are most likely to encounter the former.

Hmm... Let the quote below sink...

"So long as the love, even the smallest, of man toward woman is not destroyed, so long is his mind in bondage as the calf that drinks milk is to his mother." -Buddha

One thing you should learn VERY fast is that no one on the face of this earth is irreplaceable (save your parents-and family). Bulk of the people here may have most likely experienced such, so when they give advice, it's from experience.

Let me reiterate this again in another way. This lady is most likely a REGULAR lady, and identical with next lady. No special features. Other ladies can EASILY replace her in virtually every way. Don't let her mess with your emotions o.

A man should always keep his emotions at bay, not allowing it to overtake him. Even if you later date and want to marry her, it has a VERY HIGH percentage of falling apart, because it is not based on any real substance (trust, loyalty, understanding, compatibility etc.) except on looks, hormones and hydraulics. This stage will pass.

Why do you think young men and women in the days of yore were not allowed to mix? That's to avoid all these crap, and they never married for "love " but real substance, yet they had the best of marriages.

BE A MAN!

There are various ways of earning a comfortable living in Nigeria despite the biting economy. And yes, not every graduate must be an internet marketer, musician, comedian (the latest fad) "motivational speaker "(motivate yourself first!), Blogger etc.

Graduates in this clime should be interested in using the internet for Brainstorming ideas, promoting their Businesses and other progressive endeavors etc not scrolling and reading gibberish online and following other people's life. It's a cold dog-eat-dog world, don't waste a single drop of your youthfulness on any useless endeavour/entity or your generation may forever hate you.

Enough of the "SOLO-CEO" mentality. Everybody wants to answer "CEO" at any length. Enough of copying other people's idea piece by piece. Innovation is to be applied.

Partnership is the real deal. Only if graduates can form partnership, in Twos, Threes, etc. They'll most definitely come up with lucrative ideas with (very) little capital involved, and individual strengths will be harnessed, while weaknesses covered, but you should be ready to get "dirty" (labour) and learn the art of delayed gratification, and yes be very humble.

ENOUGH OPPORTUNITY waiting to be tapped (at micro level of course) in nearly every sector of the Country

Agriculture
Security(yes!)
Manufacturing
Trading
Etc.

But don't expect anyone to start spoon feeding you ideas. Hints are enough.

Thanks.

NB: There are lots of very Hardworking youths in Nigeria, trying to make a living no matter how small (me inclusive) kudos to them all.

Bro, delayed gratification/self discipline is one of the hallmark of a MAN. I'll advise you to just cut her off COMPLETELY. If you linger on by calling and chatting, those false emotions caused by proximity which is falsely interpreted as "love" will not die off.

Since you've told her your feelings of wanting her (as a POTENTIAL wife) and she's still indecisive (more like IMMATURE) and she seems to want to inappropriately exploit to the fullest the very fleeting power of youth, attractiveness and beauty (which many later regret doing), plus she's very free with guys (something we both greatly detest and dislike in a future wife); kindly cut off all communication. You'll be surprised and thank yourself that you did sooner than later, as your self respect and esteem will be intact.

Don't go to her hostel again for such. Kindly divert that time to other productive efforts, and you may be surprised at the outcome.

Kindly keep us updated o.

Bro,

Do your self a favour and ALWAYS take to your heels whenever a girl tells you she has "male friends" (who are most likely toasters...) you're human and there is bound to be conflict sooner or later: don't buy that crap.
Your destiny is not tied to anyone. You have a whole lot ahead of you, and cannot afford to waste your time on anyone.

The close proximity that campus offers is what is BLINDING you, thinking you are in love. Trust me, when you start to experience the real world (starting from NYSC). You'll Laugh and laugh at
your previous naivety.

Try to make a solid CGPA, start thinking of a nice business plan, and how to generally better your life and improve your society. Trust me, Na them go rush you, as you'll have your pick (of potential WIVES).

PLUS: don't spend to buy any girl's love or impress her. The roadside bigger or the hungry kid on the street will forever cherish you if you feed them rather.

Be wise with your time and all.
