IMO, the fact that they celebrated Xmas doesn't mean they believed in it, what they are only trying to preach is religious tolerance. Like trying to show love to the Xtian folks.
Exactly!

Okoyeeebos:
Na so.
Why didn't they celebrate on the 24th of December or the 25th?

See the scrawny things calling themselves atheists. If they see good food to eat, blood would circulate to their brains and they would start using it.
Are you saying Seun, hardmirror ,hopefullandlord ,Hahn capslock and other atheists I know here on Nairaland don’t use their brain? lipsrsealed

Oluwapresley:
I'm only going to comment on this because most of the guys that commented on the first page didn't really do justice to the question.

It's sad when one is in need of a piece of advice that can change his life for good and from a vast majority, he can't seem to get a honest and also effective idea.

So, to your dilemma. Who says you can't do the two at the same time? One thing people fail to realize is that a tertiary institution and its environs provides a very large market for business people. I schooled in Obafemi Awolowo University and the average population every session was put at 35, 000 people! Notice I said average. That's for crying out loud, a very large market for any smart business minded person!

I doubt you would be directly linked to a market as large as that from a shop wherever you wanna set your shop up, well except you want to leverage on technology. With a market size of 35,000 people and technology at your grasp, who says this number can't increase?

That was OAU. I have heard of schools with far far higher average population.

So, think. Why can't you stay in school and set up a thriving business in school? I know of guys that made it for life through businesses in school.

The woli arole everyone is talking about today never dropped out from school. He is a bona fide graduate of OAU and he did MC on campus which set him up towards the right direction.

Chinko Ekun never dropped out of school. I still rem when the news was everywhere that Olamide wouldn't sign him if he didn't drop out from school. Olamide later signed him. Today, he is a graduate and he got signed on campus. All of these was even before the Olamide ish. How bout guys that did buying and selling? In one hostel in your school, you are directly linked to at least 2000 people that can patronize you.

So my question, instead of throwing one away to get another, why not take both in both hands?

Education is key! The fact that you haven't dropped out already shows u still think it is key and you don't want to lose at the end of the day.

Think. You can start up a great business in school there.
Lol.

CareerRe: Should I Drop Out Of School And Concentrate On Business? by Trouble1:
Op . I am in your shoes right now . But mine is slightly different.
I lost my dad two years ago when I was in OAU ,I was in my first year’s second semester.
He was my sole benefactor then and sometimes I go days without good food cos my dad reluctantly sent me to school in the first place, so the pocket money he sends to me is not regular . But thank god for good friends. I often eat their food with no remorse .
Sometimes I even had to join labourers in ongoing constructions in the school premises and earn N1500 per day so I can get something to eat .
So ,when my dad died unexpectedly. I decided to withdraw from school cos I know if I don’t . I will suffer and become useless in that school and probably forced to withdraw in the end .
Many people tried to persuade me to not withdraw. Some even tried to blackmail me to not withdraw. But I never bulged . I packed my clothes and moved out of Awo. Back to my father’s house .
I tried to do some capital intensive buying and selling business with my very little or no capital . But I had to stop that business after about a year cos things weren’t just working out fine at all ! then I did some other random things and somehow I got some money .
Then I decided to try run a degree program in NOUN . Even though I know that the money Can only run a session successfully. I proceeded . That was around March earlier in the year .
Well , fast forward to today . I have completed a session in NOUN and I’m waiting to start another semester/session in January by gods grace .

Ps: I still don’t have a particular paying job . The only way I get little money now is from my random investments. And the money is very little .
I want to learn driving too ,so I can at least be open to more opportunities .
Life is hard bro . Life is so hard .
People are not nice too .
I’ve literally spent all my savings on this school stuff ,its also taking most of my Returns on investment.
But I have made a decision that I will never liquidate any of my investments to pay any fees . If I don’t have money to continue, I will rather take a long or short break then continue later when I can afford to .
I hope I get a good job sometime too . Business is hell !

dominique:
After insulting the FRSC guy for doing his job, has her life improved for better? Did it return the fine she paid into her account? Your sister was quite petty tbh, she broke a rule and she still thinks she's within her rights to exert revenge. How the screen got cracked is no concern of the official, the rule states that DO NOT DRIVE WITH A CRACKED WINDSCREEN. If your sister had tried this rubbish in one of the civilized countries we love to put our country against, she would have gotten detained and made to do community service.
Dominique! God bless you!
Car TalkRe: Car Talk Chat Room by Trouble1: 12:21am On Dec 25, 2018
I want to learn driving please .
I’m skeptical about enrolling in a driving school because I’m not buying a car anytime soon and im afraid there’ll be no car to practice after learning and I don’t want to “waste” money .
I also don’t have anyone very close to me that has a car or can teach me .
Somebody Please advise me lipsrsealed
