Again, this is how I would have quoted that verse;

Qur'an 3:28—Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers

But after accepting that usermane has some good argument on why friend may not accurately portray the Arabic word I now quoted this;

Qur'an 3:28—Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends/protectors/allies (depending on how u translate the Arabic) in preference to believers.


Besides their are other verse we haven't talked about on that topic

Qur'an (5:80)-"You will see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; certainly evil is that which their souls have sent before for them, that Allah became displeased with them and in chastisement shall they abide."

Qur'an (3:28)-"Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah:except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them..."

would it be nice that i bring out from the bible where a disciple of jesus slit someones ear in his presence and i immedietely call jesus an heartless man without finishing the verse? or remind you of how many souls saul killed and jesus accepted him back and call jesus a wicked prophet to accept a murderer without reading the verse completely to know saul asked for forgiveness and jesus told him if he truly wishes to be forgiven and sto his evil activities then he would be forgiven? or you want me to remind you of the prostitute with jesus but i wont read the verse were it shows cllearly that she was seeking forgiveness with jesus and i will just start shouting that your jesus is seen with a prostitute and i assume immedietely?

I understand the position of the muslims perfectly well. If somebody is possessed by a spirit, he/she loses the God-given reasoning ability. Ordinary words may not be enough to deliver him/her. It is like talking to a lunatic expecting him to give appropriate reply.
