Lol. I read. Your story and laughed. Bro, your wife is not even close to what my bro's wife is. It was bad to the extent she wanted to stop my brother from seeing every member of his family just cos her papa get money.

My brother just left her to stay in her family house for almost a year with their daughter(he was ready to damn the consequence than live a miserable young life). Never begged her and even started dating in case the marriage fails.

I had an encounter today that really broke my heart. Is there still hope for this country? especially this new generation that seems to be lagging behind in intellect and proper exposure.

There's this guy that just opened a barbing salon in my hood. he's quite good but i was yet to patronize him till this morning.

Dude started telling me how he admires my way, how i hardly go out but still look fresh. omo, see my head come dey burst (for those that'll start asking....i'm a freelance web developer/digital marketer). After cutting my hair, this guy started asking me directly if i do Gee (yahoo). i don't judge people for doing what they have to do to survive in this terribly harsh country, so i said NO with a smile so he wouldn't feel bad.

if you see the shock on this guy's face. you know that moment you hear the girl that has been forming for the whole area got pregnant for a mechanic... that was exactly the look on this guy's face.

he told me i was wasting my time... "when you wan come blow bros?". this was the question the guy asked that broke my heart. That the youth of this country have lost touch with the realty of gradual progress with hard-work and dedication? Dude doesn't even believe his skill can take him anywhere

i go still barb for him side but meehnn... is it that bad in this counrty?

dude. If Nigeria was serious with its military, never once would there be any reason to compare it to any military in SSA. The money is there. The will isn't. Why spend millions of dollars on a military exercise when the dummies at the helms never see threats, they see investment opportunities, future stock growth but they don't see threat. Over 2billion dollars stolen in defense spending under one government.

I think states that are not aligned to the Nigerian Afro centric interests should be wary of a Nigeria that is serious with its defense spending. Irrespective of what that nation think it has now or what it thinks it will have in future. A Nigeria that is ready to fund it's military would be able to fund and sponsor such military acquisitions and trainings as has never been seen in SSA.

Never once should poverty be seen as a limitation for Nigeria in defense spending. Cluelessness and corruption is, not poverty.

With a well armed Nigerian military, NATO will think critically before considering it.

yes , its impossible a war between nigeria and egypt , too far in geopolitics . For exemple egyptian air force have ready attack strategy for aerial strikes on ethiopia ( in case of war about the Nile river ) .

Just For Nigeria a Big country in africa , even if there is no threat at the moment, nigeria must have a respectable air defense ! 5 years is not enough to integrate a good defensive doctrine and master the air defense . and big powers ( France , USA , NATO, in case of revolution, or what they call a moderate insurgency , they will say quickly Nigerian army kills citizens! and strike you the day after easily with zero loses for them , and will put a government under their control we give them more access to your ressources , but if you have a good air defense they will think about the military losses they may suffer , weigh the pros and cons and think twice before interferring . you need a kind of deterrence

nigeria sould invest un short , medium range air defense in small number of units to get a first base in the fields and after if needed it can invest in large systems and a big network

Our government is more interested in internal threats (which it creates), than obvious external threats.

So we just have to keep dreaming and envy your military hardwares
