Yoruba lost Ilorin because of resentment among themselves and not because of Fulani conquest
if Afonja had agree for reconciliation between the Oyo empire then there is no we would have lose Ilorin/kwara state to Fulani
Fulani only thrive on a tribe disunity, they conquered Hausa with this, we Yoruba hate ourselves a lot. as far as am concern Tinubu have done a lot for Yoruba people that Obj yet Yoruba love the same obj that didn't do anything for Yoruba nation than Tinubu
Tinubu a detribalized politician, gave Igbo a level playing ground in Lagos somewhat that they can even contest in Yoruba land why you can't do in their own land, Ambode tried to reduce this igbo excesses in Lagos yet igbo still support him against Tinubu that's how much they hate him
I'm telling all Yorubas reading this post, any hate against Tinubu is hate for Yoruba nation either from Yoruba or igbo or anyone
Tinubu is our leader, we've no other leader to represent Yoruba nation, we must stand unity and support him, this obedient you people are doing, if you know how obi hate Yorubas you won't even dare support that fool
all this resentment must stop in Yoruba nation, Tinubu is a thief bla bla, tell me which politician is saint in Nigeria? is it Atiku that destroy education of Nigeria with his boss or peter obi that hoard money meant for infrastructures and development for his personal gains?
Tinubu is this and that yet he built companies that employed millions of Nigeria regardless of their tribe
Yoruba Nation, wake up don't sleep, the North are ready to pay Tinubu back by supporting him massively, we must not allow these hateful tribe to ruined our chances, they've lies and propaganda but we have sense and diplomatic approach
We must stand with Baba Seyi to the end, don't fall for igbo hate against Tinubu, they tried to ruined Lagos during endsars while their region was left untouched, even Edo people fall for their propaganda, wake up my people
Bar1941: May God bless you for speaking the truth.
I just pity those senseless Yoruba youths that senselessly allowed those yeebos to play with their brains. Yeebos don't just hate Tinubu as a person, they hate the entire Yorubas as a race and that could be clearly seen even in recent time.
When the APC ceded the presidency to the south, simply because BAT and PYO were seen to be having upper hands, this yeebos categorically declared to support continuation of the Hausas in power.
Now they turned Biafra agitation to Obidient movement, threatened to kill any Igbo that supports a Yoruba man in the forthcoming election yet our people foolishly fall for their antics. It's really a pity many of us lack that ethnic consciousness and it's really affecting us.
As in bro, a big pity that some Yoruba lack that ethnic consciousness.

powerfulguy OP use this map asa better description.
What I don't understand is how the Northern governors are able to pay salary while their counterpart in the South are owing salaries. yet, Southerners always abuse the North as the decayed part of Nigeria.
See the SE, three states are owing over 6month salary and yet the Igbos want to liberate Lagos from Sanwo-olu and Tinubu. They will be blaming Tinubu everyday and yet their governors are making their people poor and wretched in the East.
Akeredolu is a disgrace. After Lagos, that state recieve the highest allocation in the SW and yet Akeredolu owing Salaries.
Heaven bless Oyetola, Osun wasn't on the list because he is not owing salaries, did not borrow as governor and yet Osun people voted him out for an Adeleke who got no plan or manifesto but just dancing, and they call it democracy.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tibubu met politics at home, he was born into politics.
That man is a political guru of this 1999-2022 era and by God’s grace and the vote of Nigerians, Asiwaju Jagaban will be the next president of Nigeria next year.
Yoruba1stson: BAT is unstoppable Jagaban of Africa is our incoming president If you no like am go hug transformer and end your miserable life.... BAT/SHET is a goal
A Christian group in the North, the Northern Christian Network (NCN) has thrown its weight behind the choice of Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, as the Director-General of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential campaign council.
The APC national leadership picked the governor to lead the party’s 2023 presidential campaign programme last week. A coalition of Christian groups from the North-Central had on Tuesday slammed Lalong for accepting to serve as head of the ruling party’s presidential campaign council.
But the governor had dismissed any thought of resignation from the role.
The convener of the group, Mshelia Lazarus, who addressed journalists at a press conference on Wednesday in Abuja, said despite differences and opposing views, Lalong remains the perfect fit for the position.
He said the choice of the governor would to put to rest the controversies generated by the APC decision to settle for a Muslim-Muslim ticket in next year’s election.
Lazarus said: “Lalong is a quintessential and grassroots politician who will be able to galvanize his influence in delivering victory for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“The choice of Lalong who is an influential Northern politician and a devoted but detrabalised Christian from the ruling party, will no doubt, kindle hope among the Christian community in the country.
“Lalong, who is the Chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum was able to galvanize and rally all his colleagues from the North to insist on power shift to the South.
“He was instrumental in seeing that the cabals who were bent on foisting a Northern candidate on the party as flag bearer did not succeed, thus, paving the way for the seamless emergence of Tinubu at the convention in Abuja.
“The last minute intervention of the Lalong-led NGF changed the equation in favour of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.”
Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi state - Yar-Sokoto Jega, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women leader for Kebbi Central, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2023 elections. Mrs Jega disclosed this when she spoke at a ceremony in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday, August 10, Daily Nigerian reported.
The former women leader added that she left the party because of injustice and lack of purposeful leadership.
She said that she decided to join the APC because of the numerous achievements of Governor Atiku Bagudu, saying that she joined the party with over 800 supporters. “I have been in PDP for many years, they have nothing to show to people and we have been neglected by the party. “I even use my money for the cause of the party, but yet I have not seen any change with my people, especially the women that I represent.
Built2last: Did you see this part of that statement. According to him, Awolowo once told him during his lifetime, “No, you must work with the Igbo because you cannot defeat these Fulani people alone”. I bet you didn't read the instruction of AWO to the elderstates man because your heart is full of evil hatred
You can go to Anambra and burn buses. but if they catch you, you will be killed. The guy you have in court that burnt BRT buses may be innocent but it won't serve the narrative people like you would want to hear if the news came out and it was one Oluwole, hence, they have arrested one innocent Igbo man. Was there CCTV or any evidence to prove beyond doubt that the man burnt those buses.
Igbira boys moved from Kogi state and killed over 50 Yoruba indegenes in a church, You and your leaders are quiet because its not Igbo that did it. If a single Igbo man was on that list people like you would have been venting.
chill, Igbos are people you don't know what to do to. They are like wind. everywhere. you can't trap them.
@ the bolded, Yoruba sophistico can you see ?
You will all be killed if you do 1/10 of what Igbo people are doing on our land. This is them sounding you the warning.
You Yoruba sophistico should continue to be foolish by pleasing the Ibos.
Check the Igbo well, before now, the media space is all about IPOB and Nigeria is a zoo.
As soon as Obi got the ticket, they all switched mouth and started campaigning massively for Peter Obi and started tagging anyone that speak against them an efulefu and cancelling them.
But the same Igbo will attack a Yoruba supporting Tibubu by calling them tribalists and yet over 99% of them are always speaking in support of Peter Obi.
But some Yoruba lack self awareness, they are being gaslighted and used by the Igbos and forming woke on social media and getting guilt tripped.
As a Yoruba, you can support Peter Obi, Atiku, or Kwakwanso but if the reason you are supporting any of these guys is due to the gaslighting by other tribe , then you are foolish.
This is for some of the sophistico Yoruba youth that fell for the antics of Ibo people that always say they hate Tinubu not because he’s Yoruba and bla bla bla.
Awolowo was stoned when he went to the East to campaign back then and this is Pa Adebanjo the same Afenifere guy laying claim to that. Is Awolowo also a bad person like Tinubu according to the Ibos? Or why was he stoned?
Azikiwe campaigned easily in the SW but Awo was stoned in the SE for campaigning.
That’s the same thing they are doing to Tinubu. They are making sure he won’t be able to campaign in the SE, where they term any Igbo that support Tinubu as efulefu and always cancel them.
Yet the same people want to be left alone to campaign in the SW while some Yoruba guys with severe confusionists complex will be sheering them on.
The Yoruba are the only tribe in this country without tribal consciousness and it is as tho something is wrong.
Leader of the pan-Yoruba sociopolitical group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo has revealed stunning details of how Easterners attacked the late Obafemi Awolowo fondly called ‘Awo’ while they were campaigning during the First Republic at Aba, Abia commercial nerve centre.
Adebanjo, who spoke to Vanguard’s Saturday Interview, narrated how the Igbos were misinformed about the late Nigerian nationalist.
According to him, Awolowo once told him during his lifetime, “No, you must work with the Igbo because you cannot defeat these Fulani people alone”.
When asked if he still believes in a united Nigeria, the Yoruba elder statesman emphatically replied; “Well, if people like you can pressure Buhari and those who are opposed to going back to federalism, maybe.
“If we don’t go back to federalism, Nigeria is doomed. I have said it before. Restructure or break up Nigeria because nobody is staying under the slavery of the Fulani. That is clear. I have not hidden it. Chief Edwin Clark has said it. I am saying it. Many other well-meaning Nigerians are saying the same thing.
“Why is IPOB there? You are in a Nigeria where the North can have the presidency, the South-West can have the presidency, likewise the South-South, but the South-East cannot. Yet, we are one Nigeria and you want peace. You are deceiving yourself.
“That is the basis of my support for the South-East. When Chief Nnia Nwodo and others came, I told them all that the Easterners did to me and Awolowo, which is why some Yoruba say they don’t want Igbo? But Awolowo told me, “No, you must work with the Igbo because you cannot defeat these Fulani people alone.”
“Awolowo said only that the Igbo are misguided down from Azikiwe. “They use them against us. But don’t allow yourselves to be used against them because they don’t see”.
“They stoned Chief Awolowo in Aba. Let me tell you because you ought to know many things. Maybe you may not have heard about it, so put it down. We went to campaign there in the First Republic. You (referring to Vanguard reporter) were not born then. They stoned Chief Awolowo. The stone hit his head. It was the Awo cap that saved the impact, we didn’t know. I hope you are listening because you often hear that these people (Yoruba) don’t like the Igbo.
“Your (referring to Vanguard reporter) leaders are always talking like that. When we got home after the rally, Awolowo said, do you know these people stoned me, we said ah! We were afraid but he said, you have to work with them. You cannot defeat the Fulani alone.
“The same thing happened during the Biafra war. Your people misquoted him. They claimed that Awolowo said if the Igbo go, then the Yoruba will go. And then the Igbo left and Awolowo deserted them.
“Gowon didn’t want that war to be fought. He said let them (Igbo) go. Awolowo said, well if you want the Igbo to go, that was what led to the statement, if by any act of commission or omission, you allow the East to secede, the West will secede.
“Awolowo went to Ojukwu in the East during the war against the wish of the Federal Government that said no don’t go to the East. He said no, I will go. It was after the war that they saw the tape of what he discussed with Ojukwu.
“Awolowo told Ojukwu, come back, let us agree to separate. You don’t leave this burden alone on me. We are carrying this burden of these people together and you want to go? No! You have to come back.
“What I am telling you, put it down and let somebody come and criticise it. Ojukwu said he had agreed. Before Chief Awolowo came back to Lagos, Ojukwu attacked Mid-Western Region.”
No less than one thousand two hundred and fifty women on Sunday, sermonized by the sincere empowerment scheme of Senator, Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani, representing Adamawa Central, have submitted to the “Sai-Matan-Nan” journey to victory.
Sen Binani is the governorship candidate for the major opposition political party, the APC in Adamawa state, effectively working the script to reclaim power from the PDP-led government they consider to be a disappointment.
The 1,250 PDP women for Binani gave reasons behind their defection as resulting from being infected by the chronic disaffection, deceit, and sentiment-centered leadership with suffocating fresh air the remedy of which could only be found with the call to Sai-Matan-Nan.
The decampees interviewed said more women and youths, impressed by the effective and efficient representation and empowerment schemes, would soon join the “Sai Matan Nan” journey to victory.
“We’ll persuade our parents, brothers, in-laws, and friends to join the movement that is most inclined to empowering the less privileged and get the state out of the maze by uniting rather than disintegrating the citizenry”.
“We have eventually found in Sen Binani the answer to good governance and forward-looking thoughts. Her programs for progress are real rather than imaginary, merely propagated via social media.
