They are important people from those communities. And worshipped by their people.

Sango, for example is from ekiti and was the 6th Alaafin of Oyo. Who's like the president of Yoruba. To have such an important person from their place made the ekiti to worship him. It's not an entire Yoruba thing.

Our forefather, ODUDUWA never met These people. He's dead before they're even born. So, he never worshipped any IDOL.

Yes, especially north America.

Since Nigeria has been a dominant player in West Africa, in terms of Population, Economy, Militarily etc. Nigeria is using this power to fiex it's muscle in Niger which will test Niger grip on the control of government in west Africa. If Nigeria emerge victorious in this, it'll prove a lot.

America remains a dominant power on north America and Europe, that's why it's very easy to be a friend of America than satisfying 2 continents. That's the power of leverage. Saudi Arabia maintain influence over the Gulf, that's why it's easy to be a friend of Saudi than all gulf countries. Same thing china is doing in Southeast Asia etc. South Africa also maintains strong influence over anything I'm Southern Africa.

So, since Nigeria applied to BRICS. If Nigeria can change government in Niger, I see a direct entry into Niger because of Nigeria influence. And they influence will also seriously push The west to compete over Nigeria.

Sincerely, I want to see a stable Niger out of hands and France and USA. But I think Nigeria also should spread it's influence and power to maintain a regional Force.

Niger’s coup leader, Abdourahmane Tchiani, has offered explanations for refusing to meet an ECOWAS delegation led by former Nigerian military leader, Abdulsalami Abubakar.

According to a statement signed by an Islamic scholar, Bala Lau, who led a team of Nigerian Islamic scholars to meet with the coup leader in Niamey, Mr Tchiani said they (the coup leaders) were angry that ECOWAS did not hear them out before issuing them an ultimatum.

He however apologised for his action noting that the junta’s doors are open to explore diplomacy and peace in resolving the matter.

The statement did not, however, state if Mr Tchiani also apologised for his decision to meet delegations from the AU, UN and the US.

Mr Tchiani claimed the coup was well intended, stating that they struck to starve off an imminent threat that would have affected not only Niger but also Nigeria. The statement did not, however, quote him as saying what the imminent threat was.The coup leader added that Niger and Nigeria were not only neighbours but brothers and sisters who should resolve issues amicably.

At their meeting, the Nigerian team and the coup leader agreed to further explore using dialogue to resolve the political crisis in Niger.

PREMIUM TIMES reported that the Islamic scholars last week met with Nigeria’s President and ECOWAS chair, Bola Tinubu, to discuss the use of dialogue in resolving the conflict. They also requested to be allowed to intervene, a request the Nigerian leader agreed to.According to the Sunday statement, Mr Lau told the coup leader that the visit to Niger was to engage in constructive dialogue to encourage him and other military leaders behind the coup to toe the path of peace instead of war to resolve the crisis.

Speaking with journalists in Niamey after the meeting, another member of the intervention team and Chief Missioner of Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria, Abdulrahman Ahmad, said contrary to reports in some sections of the media, the team was well received by Mr Tchiani and both parties had fruitful discussions.We will now go back home and report to President Tinubu what we have discussed and press it on him that war is not an option in resolving the matter.

“We believe that war is an ill wind that will not blow any good and that peaceful resolution should prevail.”

Nigerians and indeed the rest of the world will wait to see the impact of the cleric’s visit on the situation in Niger particularly the resolution by ECOWAS that it would use force to dislodge the putschists unless they hand over power back to detained President Mohamed Bazoum.

Sango
Sango was the 4th king that ruled as the Alafin of Oyo and who was deified by his friends after his controversial death. According to Yoruba legend, Sango was born at a time when the Yoruba people were participating in activities that were unpleasing to the gods.
OGUN
He is the god of war and metals. In his earthly life Ogun is said to be the first king of Ife. When some of his subjects failed to show respect, Ogun killed them and ultimately himself with his own sword. He disappeared into the earth at a place called Ire-Ekiti, with the promise to help those who call on his name.

Esu
Esu is the messenger of the oracle, taking sacrifices to him and bringing his commands to men, acting under his orders and punishing the wicked for him. In a battle with Death he lost his club, but Orunmila recovered it for him and that created a pact between these two divinities. Orunmila here is a brother to oduduwa. It's never possible that oduduwa will ever worshíp his brother, to then he's a mere messanger.
Osun
Osun was one of the wives of Sango, the Alaafin of Oyo, who later hanged himself and became a divinity through his followers' worship. During the 18th and 19th century assaults by Fulani/Nupe slave raiders, the Osun River was a source of defence and salvation for the Yoruba people in that region.

These are the people worshipped in Yoruba land, who themselves are kings and queens who came faar later After the death of ODUDUWA, the founder of Yoruba land. Oduduwa is our FOREFATHER and he never worshipped idol. Idolatry is Originally not a Yoruba Tradition

The reason Russia, China etc are not as rich as them is PRECISELY because the former did not enslave and colonise AFRICA and loot her human and natural resources for 6 centuries.
