I chose to take my time to really understand what is happening regarding Mohbad's death and it's so painful that majority of us only listen to beats and sounds in music but never pay attention to the lyrics.

Lyrics is what makes the music not just the sound and the beat. Those are just supporting team.

However, I listen to another version of his songs this morning title "Sorry" where he narrated the stories surrounding his life, saying...

My brothers are hungry

The first part of the song talked about the hardship his parents are facing, the maltreatment of his step mother, the landlord threats, his brothers staying all days without food.

Trust me, all these are more than enough for anyone to be mislead and get involved in anything just to change the cause of their lives and that was exactly what Mohbad did.

In the second verse of the Lyrics, he went on to say that...

I don dey do Yahoo
I don dey chop banku
Omo pastor ti wonu aye

He just made it clear that even though he is a Pastor's son; all that is no longer matter as he had decided to be part of anything that can bring in money and eradicate poverty out of his family.

The third version of the lyrics hit hard on his parents and their failure as parents; saying

Mummy just dey pray
Daddy just dey pray for me
Make e better for me
Me I no go school
Only thing I fit do
Music me I choose

Some parents are nothing but total disgrace to humanity. And if you are a parent and you cannot pay closer attention to your children and be sure of the kind of friends they keep and the things they do, then you are nothing but a disgrace.

Praying for your children is never enough, wisdom demands that you get fully involves in their lives and be sure of what they are doing that requires your prayers, so that you don't end in sorrow.

*Dino Will Restore Development in Kogi State, Gov. Adeleke Assures*

Osun State Governor and *Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)* Campaign Chairman for the November 11,2023 governorship election in Kogi State, *Senator Ademola Adeleke*, has assured the people of Kogi State that development will be restored in the state when Senator Dino Melaye is elected as governor.

Adeleke, who stated this during an interface with some stakeholders of the Kogi West chapter of the PDP in Kabba, Kogi State, on Thursday, said the people of Kogi State had proud accomplishments when the party governed the state.

“Kogites know that when PDP was in office, their lives were better than now. Their business concerns were doing well, their salaries were paid in full and things generally moved smoothly.

“I’m Imole (light) and Dino is Imole too. Together, we are bringing light to Kogi State and I implore the people of Kogi State to unite and rescue the state.

“I have told Governor Yahaya Bello that Imole is coming to Kogi State, our campaign will be issue based and we shall repeat the Osun feat in Kogi State, by God’s grace.

He called on the people of Kogi State not to be deceived again by the machinations of the All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that, “if you go to APC, they will use you and dump you, no matter who you are. Let us join hands together and move both the PDP and Kogi State forward.

The Chairman, Contact and Mobilization committee of the National Campaign Council, Professor Jerry Gana, told the people of Kogi West that they “have a golden opportunity to produce the next governor of Kogi State.

“You must pull all your political capital together to ensure that the opportunity of producing a governor this time does not elude you.

Kogi 2023: Abah, Odawn, Iyaji, Others Unite Kogi East for Dino

Former Minister of Police Affairs, Barrister Humphrey Abba, erstwhile Chairman of Kogi state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief John Odawn and former State commissioner, Mrs Ruth Eke Iyaji led other prominent leaders of Kogi East extraction to receive the party’s governorship candidate, Senator Dino Melaye, in Egume, Dekina local government, Wednesday.

The event, which was held at the Egume residence of Chief Odawn was witnessed by the PDP National Campaign Council’s committee chairman on contact and mobilization, Professor Jerry Gana; North Central Zonal chairman, Dakas Shawn among others.

Addressing the Party faithful, Senator Melaye commended Chief Odawn for his long years of service as Chairman of Kogi PDP, and for keeping the Party together despite the challenges the it has experienced over time.

The PDP Flag-bearer, who described the meeting as a “home-coming” assured the leaders and stakeholders who thronged the venue of inclusion and consensus building under his watch, saying it is his desire to ensure that the Party lives up to its name as a promoter of People's democracy.

Melaye cited his records of advocacy for the rights of workers and the people of Kogi State as the undeniable credential that he brings into the November 11 election.

He noted that his campaign is weaved around partnering with Kogites to rescue the state from the yoke of underdevelopment.

Senator Dino pledged to be a servant leader and promoter of good governance, urging Kogites to bring about the desired change by voting for the PDP without fear at the November 11, 2023 Gubernatorial election.

“We will win this election by conquering the fears and intimidation of the Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration.

Professor Jerry Gana who led members of the National Contact and Mobilisation Committee on the visit commended Chief Odawn and many founding members for their steadfast support for the Party. He urged the people to put the shortcomings of the past aside and work for a new paradigm that the emergence of Senator Dino Melaye and his running mate, Hon Habibat Mohammed Deen represent.

Representatives of the three. Federal Constituencies in Kogi East, who spoke at the meeting, assured of their total commitment to the election of Senator Dino Melaye and Hon Habibat Mohammed Deen.

They called for vigilance during the election, to avoid the manipulations of election processes and results as witnessed in the elections of the recent past.
