Jagabanbattle: It’s no more news that Gov. Fubara of Rivers state is now at the mercy of Rivers state house of assembly which is controlled by former Governor Wike.
Having lost the battle, Gov. Fubara will be impeached in coming weeks. I’m expecting his impeachment letter to be served this month. I’m just saying this base on threat of violence from vagabonds and criminals.
Politics is a game. You either lose or win and Gov. Fubara lost the battle at the supreme court. His impeachment is certainty and won’t come as a surprise.
Fubara will never be impeach. Fubara will spend 8 years in government. Wike will be disappointed as usual. All this threat never hold any water again. Fubara don win the war already
Hmm 🤔. It’s no retreat no surrender in Niger Delta. I think na war Wike know. Niger delta freedom fighters are ready to wage war. Na Nigeria economy will suffer it most.
It’s impossible to impeach Fubara – Asari Dokubo warns
Former Niger Delta warlord, Asari Dokubo has warned against any attempt to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State.
He said such an attempt would be fiercely resisted by the Ijaw people.
Dokubo stated this in a video released on social media.
His reaction comes amid insinuations that the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike was mulling Fubara’s impeachment.
The Martin Amaewhule-led assembly, which had its legitimacy affirmed by the Supreme Court on February 28, had issued a 48-hour ultimatum for Fubara to resubmit the 2025 budget for approval. The ultimatum expires Wednesday, March 5.
Dokubo said any attempt to oust Fubara from office would heat up Rivers and make even Wike unable to return to the state.
He, therefore, charged President Bola Tinubu to call Wike to order.
Addressing the president, Dokubo said, “If in your government I have to stake everything to tell you the truth, I’m staking everything to tell you the truth. It is left for you to hear, but the result you will see.”
Dokubo said he bears no personal animosity towards Wike.
“I don’t have any personal problem with Wike. I hardly have personal problem with people. I say my mind. If you don’t like it, okay.”
He added, “Mr President, if you allow Wike to push this as he is doing, it will be very difficult for him to even come to Rivers State.
“It will be difficult for those his 27 House of Assembly members to even have a place to stay in Rivers State.
“It will be difficult for anybody if they think they are going to impeach Sim (Fubara) and Ijaw people will allow it.
“It will be difficult to impeach Sim. Mark these words that I am telling you.
“It will be difficult to impeach Sim and bring a governor. It’s not going to be possible.
“Go and ask in Ondo and Delta states. The fury of the Ijaw people. They don’t give a damn. They are hardly afraid of anybody.
“The earlier you hear this. Call Wike and call Sim. Let them maintain the status quo. That is the only way.”
I told some people yesterday that Obasa will never resign, he will complete his speakership term till 2027. Infact Obasa is the Tinubu choice for the governorship race in 2027 governorship election 🗳. That’s why you can’t see Sanwo Olu wade I’m on the matter. Sanwo olu just remain silent niii.
LegendHero: I thought you guys initially said Tinubu removed Obasa to pave way for Seyi before. Now your propaganda don change?
nope I don’t say that. Removal of Obasa isn’t in tune with GAC positions. They have to send him back to that seat. Unlike Sanwo-Olu that was mute all through. Obasa Dey strong in Lagos State politics no be small.

LegendHero: It is not a rumor. Obasa will resign soon.
The next guy could be Temitope (ATA) rep for Ifako Ijaiye if they follow the agreement.
But let’s see
obasa will never resign. He will complete his speakership position in 2027. Obasa is the man Tinubu want to used as the next governor of Lagos State. Don’t forget that GAC are solidly behind Obasa leadership. Obasa played his games well and he’s winning big.
even Femi Gbajabiamila never stand Obasa rugged grassroots politics. Obasa came from America and correct their heads to factory settings. Even Sanwo olu and his deputy was corrected too.
Obasa the third Strongest Politician in Lagos State. I really give kudos to him. Obasa even strong pass Sanwo olu and his cabinet. Lagosians should start embracing the next governor of Lagos, Honorable Mudashiru Obasa. His speakership position have been reinstated back .
—Meranda resign —Obasa reinstated —Obasa to resign —New speaker from Western senatorial zone will be sworn in
not true, it’s just a rumor here. I even heard, Meranda has been favored with HOR ticket. Funny enough we haven’t reach 2027. Decisions have been made on that. Lagos State politics is very funny

you should have put some write up on it. It’s when I watched the video on other social media channels that I see that Obasa has been elected back to the speakership position
treesun: Indications have emerged that the crisis in the Lagos State House of Assembly might be close to an end as the Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, is set to resign.
Her resignation would pave way for the reinstatement of the impeached Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, who sources say is also expected to resign in a few days to pave way for the emergence of a new Speaker.
This followed a meeting held on Sunday night at Lagos House Marina in the presence of Governance Advisory Council (GAC) members, the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the lawmakers.
The decision reached at the meeting, it was learnt, might be implemented on Monday (today), when the House of Assembly is expected to resume for a plenary.
The Meranda-led House had called for plenary by 1 pm and sources say the resignation might be announced at the plenary.
“Despite the tense atmosphere, it was a frank session where all parties were able to bare their minds and in end the stakeholders were able to agree on a win-win decision which is expected to end the shutdown of the house,” said a source at the meeting.
