Yoruba fear fear spirit has taken hold of peoples minds.
i dont understand their fear...they just want to stay lazy and keep the status quo...they know prices will drop dramaticaly when morocco open up their market to us....

We actually produce, atleast compared to the rest of west Africa.
Even the agriculture you are talking about is mostly processed and semi-processed goods like dangote for instance.
Dangote will just open a factory in Morocco, close down his sugar business in Nigeria since it is far more expensive , and then import from morocco into Nigeria.
sorry...i dont think its more expensive to produce stuff in nigeria than in morocco....that cant be true...

You are actually an economic illiterate who can't mention 2 disadvantages of Morocco being admitted.
dont mind am....those that agree give reasons...they dont want to give their own reasons or they dont have real reasons...

Where is the infrastructure to compete? Don't you get that.
There is no light to produce at the same cost that a Moroccan company will produce the same goods.
was our strength in production before??...when was that....??...tell me...because i dont remember...

our thing is agriculture nothing else...maybe oyel too...but oyel dont grow...its just there....

Actually there are concerns by the Nigerian private sector that Morocco is a front for the EU to implement the EPA trade deal that will cripple Nigeria's manufacturing forever.

ofcourse they are scared of loosing market....but are they forced to only market in nigeria??...this is their chance to learn new things and grow...how can that be badhuh?...

Just go bow to Arabs and be a humble obedient abdi. Does the UK have influence on Nigeria? Directly or indirectly?
Oh, so now we should complete the Party by throwing Spain and your self imposed arab masters into the mix of already interfering powers.
While at that lets not forget thet Portuguese and Dutch colonialists in Angola, Cape verde, Gabon and South Africa.
Some of you are just neo-slaves or better yet mentally enslaved.
what do you have against controling the world??.....we should go outward not close ourselves up...

Although I don't see France as a threat but you have a point here.

Morocco's wealth can harden the francophone nations to abandon France.
france is a threat....always were...they are a very melancholic type of people...go ask the english and germans....they will tell you...

You are either demented or just plain old stupid!
I hope you are at the very least smart enough to wipe your azz.
Morocco is trying to infiltrate West Africa on behalf of Spain and if you think France is bad enough try spain or better yet both France and Spain, because if you think France will let go it's ties with Africa based on the emergnce of Spain and its Arab allies then you are certainly a clown
It is called Economic Community of West African States for a reason, I don't see what is so damn hard to understand here. Educate yourself with the articles below. . . . And I mean it, educate yourself
For goodness sake this treacherous racist country called Morocco only just joined the African union in January this year.

As opposed to having a major francophone rival whose name is not FRANCE.
Nigeria have benefited from ECOWAS. Our businesses are everywhere, and the citizens in those countries have benefited from the FDI.
Now imagine adding Morocco to the mix, with cheaper goods due to decent infrastructure, better government, and a more stable system than Nigeria, your guess is as good as mine. That would be a trouble for Nigerian businesses and economy.

And they are oil and gas producing too.
what are you talking about??....do you have facts??...do you know the statistics.....how can morocco out produce us when they dont have the numbers....??....which morocco products do you know in the markethuh

this deal has many gains for nigeria..think on the millitary side...nigeria could get a base in morocco to checkmate boko haram in north africa before they even reach nigeria with new weapons...how can that be a loosehuh...

morocco cant beat us in production...they just dont have the population.....

ECOWAS has never grown since inception because all other french speaking countries dont really trust NIGERIA countries like BENIN,TOGO GUINEA have populatios of less than 6million each. They fear NIGERIA monopolizing the union. On ther other hand, morroco is also french speaking and almost as rich as Nigeria unlike other ECOWAS countries.
think...our goal is to drive france out of africa....all other european nations have left...france is still the only idioot hanging on olden days...

morocco joining ecowas will weaken the influence of france in africa...

It would be foolhardy of us to allow a competitor like Morocco into our personal sphere of Influence. Right now Nigeria owns Ecowas. It would be bad strategy to bring in another heavy weight.
and what does it profit you to own ecowashuh?...competition will drive down prices....

and morocco has many other things we dont have....like sulfate...me am thinking more on new weapons....

morocco would be a direct link to europe too...with morocco we can get direct access to european markets...

tahh....just own only west africa....how about dominate the ol world.....

geographically, if you divide AFRICA using the catersian plane, countries like MORROCO,ALGERIA,TUNISIA and all ECOWAS countries all fall into WESTERN AFRICA!
