Anybody with a working brain knows that local production goes up thousandfolds during wartime while imports drop = more GDP. Factories producing machinery, fuel, equipment etc needed for war usually experience maximum output during wartime.

It has nothing to do with who's fighting. If Ghana goes to war against Togo today, their local manufacturing will go up and imports will be non existent.
