cne010: True and sometimes fails around 50k MileageIf it fails and you change it can it fail again? I'm eyeing that car but the repair cost dey fear me. |
ovkie: Hello Naija brothers! I just registered on here after reading so many priceless advises especially about cars. It's an honor to meet and get advises from experienced people like you. I greet una oooI heard that the 2008/2009 C-class is notorious for EIS (steering lock module) failure at around 70kmiles, don't know how true shaa. |
auhanson: Oh yeah! u are wetting my tongue.. u dont know how much i love those kompressor machines..A 4 cylinder kompressor,c230 delivers better horsepower, torque and economy than a c240 6 cylinder naturally aspirated stock engine by far. In that beast you can max out 289hp with an economy of about 20/31(city/hgw MPG) unlike c240 of 168hp with an economy of about 19/25(city/hgw MPG) of same model year. Infact you could almost hit the performance of a c320, just about 194hp. And then with the benefit of w203 gearbox equivalent, inwhich case instead of kickdown or downshift you simply tap to make tremendous overwhelming 'shoot out' , no vehicle can stand you while overtaking in this manner. I used a friends own, who just bought it newly and doesn't really understand the car. I was making nonsense of all the cars on the road while travelling to Bayelsa, each time i tap the transmission, our heads hits the headrest with the swiftest movement i have ever noticed, he finally asked me if it was a manual transmission. U need to feel that machine, it's a wonder 4 cylinder.. auhanson: Oh yeah! u are wetting my tongue.. u dont know how much i love those kompressor machines..A 4 cylinder kompressor,c230 delivers better horsepower, torque and economy than a c240 6 cylinder naturally aspirated stock engine by far. But you are correct that the 2004 c240 has 168hp. |
2008 honda accord ex-l 4cyl |
Bros you don't need to open another thread for this, your Peugeot 406 can't be faster than a 4 cylinder 2008 accord talkless of the V6. |
king406: Hi all, is it true that a peugeot 406 with an EW10 engine is faster than the 2008 honda accord V6? If not, what about the EW10 and V6 406 are they all faster than the honda? Because I've been arguing with my friends that how can a 2001 car with a 2.0liter engine be better than a 3.5liter engine? Its not possibleGuy please be serious, a 406 with EW10 engine has about 140hp while an i4 2008 honda accord has about 190hp, what more of the 3.5L V6 which has about 270hp. How do you even begin to compare a 406 to these cars? |
Bossmd: @Tsiriman pls can you give the exact address where you did the job at Kaduna, I will be in Kaduna this weekend for an assignment. Will be waiting please. Thanks.Almuhamsay on warff road, there is a Honda sign on top of the shop and it's beside Fahimta(if I remember the name correctly) community bank |
Bossmd: @Toba where did you do your balancing. This problem is presently happening to my car. Whenever I exceed 100km/hr my steering starts to vibrate. Initially I thought it was my tyres so I bought four brand new tyres yesterday, but today again while I was travelling, the problem persists at above 100km/hr. I really don't know what could be responsible for this.My 2008 honda accord was suffering from the same problem as your camry, that was even after I had bought brand new Michelin Primacy 3 tires and balanced the wheels after fitting the new tires. The car was still vibrating when ever I reach 100-120km/hr. So I decided to go and do the balancing at another place in warff road Kaduna, lo and behold a dent was identified on the inner part of my rear alloy wheel after it had been removed. The outter part was perfect so you'd never suspect the dent at the other side. They then removed my tire and TMPS sensor then took the alloy to panteka in kaduna and straightened then balanced it, they then inspected the other alloy wheels and confirmed them Ok then they balanced them in the shop. After that it I could reach up to 140-150km/hr without feeling any vibration. Guy if you have new tires then check the alloy or rims them self, one or more could be bent due to impact or something else, but if all Ok then you might want to look at some other parts. |
cne010: Still on my new baby w203 C320 I was bored today I stay on the mainland around omole phase 1 and decided to fire down to the island and back to unleash the V6 and oh boy the car moves and turns I was meandering all through. This is a 4matic engine abi?

Please how much will do custom duty for an already registered 2008 Honda Accord? |
Please what does this really mean, does it mean that FRSC can just stop vehicles on the way and ask for custom papers or it applies to just newly registered cars. |
