PoliticsRe: People Of Oyo And Osun State Must Vote Against APC In The Coming Election by tsirin(f): 8:45am On Jan 10, 2018
1nigeriamyfoot:
Its not a hidden fact that APC is a demonic party but the suffering experienced by workers of these 2 states is too much, its unbearable. Up till now, Oyo state workers in Ogbomosho Lautech Teaching Hospital were not paid a kobo. They celebrated the Christmas and New Year eve on empty stomach. Some of their children have stopped going to school due to their inability to pay school fees. These people are been owed more than a year salary. Same things applies to those working in Ibadan

Apart from non payment of salaries, workers are not promoted for the past 7years of APC administration. in Oyo state.

Business owners are been harassed from time to time with the collection of wrong tax & undue fees from people trying to survive.

In the year 2012. Ajimobi administration frustrate small business owners & artisan(like barber, paper photocopy business centres, soft drinks retailers etc) & anybody having banner in front of their shop to pay mandatory 10,000naira as OYSAA fee, up till this moment he(Ajimobi) can not account for what he spent the money generated from that scam.
Barbers were asked to pay 7,500naira each to obtain loan but non of them received that loan & their registration fee of 7,5000 were never returned.
Motorcyclist wee mandated and forced to pay 5,000naira as OYSTERS registration fees, up till this moment Abiola Ajomobi is yet to tell us where he kept those generated revenues or how he spent that money.
All our publics schools are in sorry states because these administration has refused to do any renovation on public schools in Oyo state despite the fact that students now pays school fees.
Abiola Ajimobi has refused to conduct local government elections across Oyo state but he appointed caretakers chairmen whom he only pays salaries every month while they did nothing to improve the standard of livings of people they are governing. For the past 7years, there's no construction of just 1km road across the 33local governments we have in Oyo state.
Let me stop here but will continue with Oyo state later.

OSUN STATE

Aregesola is the first Osun state governor to introduce payment of half salary but despite paying half salaries, he still owes many months salaries. Its not a hidden fact that full salary can't survive the workers not to talk of half salaries but despite paying half salaries, he still owes them many months salaries. This is wickedness if you ask me.
Aregnesola claimed to have spent hundreds ofillion naira on opon Imo project but the said Opon Imo is no where to be found today.
Aregbesola is the first Osun state governor to legalize thugs and ask them to harass workers, beat them up whenever that they ask for their rights. If you want to argue with me, then tell me who are state boys.
Under Aregbesola, state government workers becomes beggars & IDP to the extent that IDP camp was set up for state workers to receive food stuffs from well meaning Nigerians. It gotten to a stage where Winners Chapel has to give out trailers loads of rice and cash to these workers so that they will not die of hunger.
Some Osun state workers committed suicide because of inabilty to feed themselves and families.
Osun state is in serious debt now but there's no project on ground did by Aregbesola to justify the huge debt that he plunged Osun state into.
If we vote APC in these 2 states come 2019, they will continue to inflict hardship on people. If we vote for credible candidates from opposition party, part of the money stolen by these people shall be recovered and used in the interest of the people.
Your username really shows who you are, you dnt believe in one Nigeria, how come you will appreciate what Aregbesola and Ajimobi have done in their own domains. well to put the record straight Ogbeni Aregbesola never introduced half salary, it is called modulated salary, and not all the categories of workers are affected, level 1-7 get their salary full, even till date. they carry the highest percentage of the civil servants they are 65%. others level 8-12 collect 75% of their salary too, so how will you call 75% half? stop your propaganda. eyes are opened.

The governors of the 36 states have asked the federal government to give them control over some of the federal highways in their states.
This was part of their demands at the meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC) chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the presidential villa in Abuja on Thursday.
In short, state reporters after the six-hour meeting, Dave Umahi, governor of Ebonyi state, said the council was concerned about the poor state of some federal roads.
The Governor of Ebonyi said it became clear that the federal government did not have the funds to repair the roads.

In Preparation for the coming bye-election in Osun-West Senatorial District.

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola stormed the city of Ejigbo yesterday to campaign for his candidate.

Some quotable words from Ogbeni Aregbesola are:-

“Let us stand for one minute to honour Late Isiaka Adeleke”

“if politics is a family affair Awolowo son and Bola Ige son would have been the governor of Ogun and Osun respectively”

“Tell all the militants imported to the state to leave Osun peacefully with the money collected from PDP, else, Osun people will chase them away”

“when PDP held the federal, state and local government we won them, not to talk when they re divided now and hold no post”

no doubt Aregbesola is the man of this season.

EducationPay Your School Fees or Stay Off Campuses:- UNIOSUN VC by tsirin(op): 5:14pm On Jun 10, 2017

The management of Osun State University has reaffirmed its decision to shut down students who refuse to pay their tuition fees and complete their academic registration before or on 13th of June, 2017.

The school position was made known during a stakeholders' meeting which was held on Thursday, 8th of June, 2017 inside the school auditorium and had in attendance; the representatives of students and Parents Association, Director of Intercampus and Public Affairs, Dr Anthony Kola-Olusanya, Public Relations and Protocol Officer, Mr. Jibola Oyekunle, ASUU Chairman, Dr Seye Abiona, NAAT Chairman, Mr Ismail Adeleke, Treasure SSANU, Mr. Samuel Obisesan, Acting Dean, Student Affairs, Dr Mrs Adigun, Acting Bursar, Mr. Samson Adegbite Acting Registrar, Mr Gafar Adebayo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Janet Olaitan Shittu and Vice Chancellor, Professor Olabode Popoola.

Unveiling the management resolution which has already been known to the students, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof Olabode Popoola explained the school cannot survive unless students promptly pay their school fees. He reminded the gathering that before every tuition fee was slashed by 50% by the government of Aregbesola in 2012, the school charges were in the region of #200,000 and around #250,000.

"What the school is currently charging is even ridiculous, in the sense that you will find some private secondary schools charging almost same amount per term," says the VC.

According to his mathematical analysis, the total accrual from school fees per annum if fully paid is not enough to offset the school annual wage bill.

"The school fees if completely paid is not enough to pay our wage bill not to talk of catering for other services.Running a productive academic system in university is not limited to payment of workers salaries alone, there are other essential services that needed to be provided as well. But, as ridiculous as our current charges are, the school management doesn't have an intention to upwardly review them." Prof Popoola confirmed.

Popoola expressed with disappointment how a sizable number of students decides to hold the school to ransom by expending their school fees on frivolous things.

He, however, made a clear statement that management won't only disallow defaulters from writing exams, but it will deny them a right to classrooms and lectures.

"Students who fail to pay within the stipulated time should stay away from our classrooms because we won't let them in." He continued.

Professor Popoola reminds the gathering of the existing rule of the university which states that "student who fails to pay his/her school fees over a period of two (2) semesters seized to be a student."
He assures the gathering that management decision under his leadership will continue to follow best practice as put in place by the rules and regulations guiding the university.

The VC pleads with parents to always recognize the fact that payment of children school fees is a paramount task which posterity would appreciate.

In his own remark, the Vice Chairman of Parents Association, Mr. Niran Ojo applauds the new VC for gregariously working to sustain smooth and uninterrupted academic activities in the university. He said the VC hasn't done anything that may trigger an unfriendly reaction from the parents.

Also, Mr. Ojo lauds the governor of Osun on his determination to transform the state to a modern society.
He emphasized all parents in their association are responsible but wouldn't rule out the possibility of having some irresponsible characters among the students. He cited a case of a student who regularly received his school fees at home but failed to remit them. He said the secret came open during the convocation ceremony when the said student couldn't graduate with his colleagues. It was at that spot his parents knew he had not been paying his school fees from 100 Level. All that was left was to weep with the parents for that gobsmacked scenario.

Mr. Ojo relied on that experience as a reference to advise the management to always satiate parents with their children status in the school.

On the issue of payment of school fees, he said parents were badly hit by the economic downturn.
Nevertheless, he promised that parents would meet to discuss and take necessary steps that will assist in regular and prompt payment of school fees.

On their side, representatives of students who were in attendance begged the management for the extension of the registration period. They said it's not totally correct that all defaulting students invested their school fees on the crashed MMM as being circulated around.

"We are not here to protest, fight, create chaos or argue, we are here to ask for mercy on behalf of other students. We are here to beg the management to have mercy on us, all we want is an extension of the registration period" says Iginla Owolabi one of the student leaders.

Adding his voice, The Chairman of the Academic Staff University Union {ASUU}, Dr. Seye Abiona expressed his concern about student's nonchalance towards payment of school fees which is a statutory responsibility of every student. He advised the school to learn from the calamity that befell LAUTECH for handling its workers' salaries with levity.

Dr. Abiona also expressed worries over the failure of students to take advantage of the school massive investment in construction to get themselves a part time job that could help their financial condition.

He explained the school has created some platforms to assist serious and determined students who are financially unstable to independently sponsor their academics.

"It's quite unfortunate no student tapped from the job opportunities created by the management initiative" Dr. Abiona submitted.

Various contributions were added by the representatives of University of Osun Alumni Association and other attendees, all enjoin students to pay their fees while they plead with the management to consider an extension of the registration period.

In his closing remark, Prof Labode Popoola thanks, all attendees, prays for parents, and students to be abundantly blessed abound for them to be liquid enough to pay their fees before the closing date.

He insists on the management resolution of shutting down defaulters on 13th of June, 2017.

Isiaka Adeleke wasn’t murdered :- Brother

Deji Adeleke, brother to late Senator Isiaka Adeleke has dismissed claims that he was murdered.

Senator Adeleke, who was the first civilian Governor of Osun State, died on Sunday, April 23, in Osogbo.

He was earlier reported to have died of a heart attack after an overdose of painkillers.

However Deji Adeleke said, on Wednesday, April 26, that the cause of the senator’s death is still unknown.

The younger Adeleke said, during a press conference at the senator’s home, that the report of the autopsy carried out on the deceased would be out in one to two weeks.

According to Punch, he also urged his brother’s supporters to embrace peace because the senator was not known for violence while he was alive.

Chaos erupted at Adeleke’s funeral on Monday when a group of youths crashed a canopy on Governors Ibikunle Amosun and Rotimi Akeredolu of Ogun and Ondo states respectively.

#UNIOSUN: Students Are Protesting Against Best Practice - VC, Olabode

The Vice Chancellor of Osun State University Professor Labode Popoola has expressed his discontentment over a needless protest organized by the students against management decision requesting them to pay their fees being a normal procedure for academic registration.

According to the statement released through his office, Professor Popoola explained that management was only appealing students to pay their registrations within the stipulated time which is in tandem with the modus operandi in the academic world.

The Vice Chancellor said, "simply because we are insisting on best practice by requesting students to pay their fees, even after 12 weeks of resumption. UNIOSUN students have decided to embark on protest according to them to "amputate all activities" on our campuses."

He cautioned the students to be well guided while embarking on the needless protest, "since the constitution of Nigeria guarantees the right to peaceful protest, we like to encourage decorum while it lasts. We implore all peace-loving staff and students to go about their activities calmly till the "storm in the tea cup subsides." The VC says.

"We implore all to note that this conduct is a threat to public peace and not in accordance with the appeal and dialogues we had with the Students’ leaders. We, however, implore security agencies to take action professionally to ensure the safety and lives and properties of the school, protesters and innocent citizens."

It was gathered that the attitude of noncompliance with standard rules in UNIOSUN predates the tenure of the new VC who was recently appointed to steer the activities of the institution.

It was investigated and established that the Vice Chancellor inherits an institution that has been badly affected by 'a tradition of noncompliance with best practice' and he has since his enthronement positioned himself to restructure the system and lay a standard foundation for a better academic session for the students during his tenure in office as vice-chancellor.

Though the VC has a genuine intention based on his experience to change the school for the best. Allegedly claimed that the beneficiaries of the old doings in the institution may be cohesively working to frustrate his efforts.

How best UNIOSUN jumps this first hurdle under the leadership of the new VC would determine how far the 'change mantra' of Prof Labode will succeed.

"Do you think we didn't know their hatred for us? Do you think we didn't know they never wished us well? he asked.

"Though the Lord defats and disgraces them but you all should remember it was Oga Akere's fraternity led by his Personal Assistance that tried to create a decoy of Progressives e-Group and everybody who is conversant online would testify to that.

After my short note yesterday, the gullible ones while defending Oga Akere were quick to bring the name of Hon Bola Ilori into the drama. I want to advise Hon Akere Sunday to either chain his dogs, tame them or warn them not to provoke history while trying to polish his image.

Osun pensioners’ “IDP camp” a wicked, mischievous joke – Govt.

The Government of Osun on Tuesday described as another propaganda against the Rauf Aregbesola administration, the claims that some pensioners have set up a camp purposely for those calling themselves “Internally Displaced Pensioners.”
The government, through a statement by the Bureau of Communication and Strategy and signed by its Director, Mr. Semiu Okanlawon said, if indeed, any camp was set up, it could not be for demand for payment of any pensions.
“Our attention has been drawn to a sensational display of photograph of some persons who claim to be pensioners in Osun who have dubiously grouped themselves “Internally Displaced Pensioners” and claimed to have set up an “IDP” camp in the state capital, Osogbo.”
“To us, this is taking the joke too far. There should be limit to campaigns of calumny and deliberate fabrications of emotive conditions all in desperation to diminish the achievements of a government.”
Aregbosola
“It was common knowledge that the State of Osun ended the Year 2016 in the most financially boisterous mood ever with the payment of four months salaries to active workers and pensions to the passive workers.”
The Bureau said for the purpose of record, “pensioners on N1,000 -N20,000 collected 100% pensions; Those on N20,001 -N80,000 collected N75% pensions and that pensioners on N80,001 collect 50% of their pensions.”
“By our calculations, Osun state pensioners alone got at least, N1,539,227,442.75 out of the N14.2billion paid to active and passive workers in the last two weeks as arrears of 4 months salaries and pensions excluding what the local government pensioners were paid for the same period.”
The statement asked discerning Nigerians to “see this mischief as part of the determination of some disgruntled elements and their media partner who are bent on deliberate fabrication of falsehood against this government.”
“Without celebrating the failings of other places, the Osun government today is prominent among the states that have taken payment of pensions as a priority. It is therefore pertinent to ask these people what are there grouse against Governor Rauf Aregbesola. It certainly cannot be their pensions,” it added
It explained further that in 2015, Osun committed a total of N5,426,720,195.68 to payment of pensions in spite of the very difficult financial stress the state found itself.
“In 2016, the state also committed a total of N3,981,312,918.78 to payment of pensions. These are facts and figures that are in public domain.” it stated
The statement said less than 24 hours after the display of the photographs and the claim to have set up the camp, there are no traces of any camp at the Freedom Park Osogbo or anywhere in the state capital.
“This, to us, confirms the fact that the mischief makers have merely orchestrated a stunt. But discerning Nigerians can see already that this is a mere propaganda.” it said.
The statement added that Aregbesola has demonstrated unbeatable display of transparency in public administration.
“This government has given meaning to good governance. History will definitely be there to judge with Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s commitment to the good of the people,” it concluded.

PoliticsOlusola Oke Of Ad Manifesto by tsirin(op): 7:57pm On Nov 23, 2016
MY MANIFESTO
Fellow citizens and residents of Ondo State, my name is Chief Olusola Oke and I seek your support to serve you.
My fellow citizens and residents, my passionate desire to serve you and our land is not an ethnic or personal agenda; it is an agenda for the advancement of the commonwealth of Ondo State, her people and everyone who is a partner in the development of a state like ours - Ondo State.
Our challenges
We are challenged by a nation-wide receding economy, increasing prices of staple food, non-payment of months of salaries to our hardworking civil-workforce, reduced opportunities of income for our artisans, reduced quality in educational delivery; very recently, students in our government run schools were on the verge of losing the privilege to be screened in the recent screening exercise into tertiary institutions because the current administration did not pay their WAEC fees in time thereby forcing the exam body to withhold the result of thousands of students, low agricultural outputs despite the numerous possibilities that we have to be the food basket of the nation, not to mention the massive investment that have been made in that regards without commensurate returns.
These challenges are surmountable. Collectively and intelligently, we can get Ondo State into the top 3 economies in Nigeria and Africa.
Our Opportunities
I am not running for office, I am running for the good of all. I am on a quest; to serve together with you. My desire to partner with you by occupying the second highest office in the land which is the office of the Governor; (because I believe that the highest office in the state is the office of the citizens and residents), is to ensure that together with the citizenry, we press forward towards our collective prosperous future.
Ondo State has a fairly large population of 3.4million people suggesting a potential for high output. Its economy which is sixth largest in Nigeria is dominated by Agriculture, oil and gas, abundant natural resources among others. The fact that Ondo State is arguably the most peaceful State in the Oil Rich Niger-Delta region, made her the most viable investment destination of all times.
The State’s Economy is basically agrarian with large scale production of cocoa, palm produce and rubber. Other crops like maize, kolanut, yam and cassava are produced in large quantities. The State is also blessed extensively with fertile soil suitable for agriculture, Sub-Savannah forest suitable for cattle grazing in the northern Fringes, vast forest resources, variety of timber species e.g. Teak, Gmelina, Manzonia, etc. which can sustain a massive furniture industry. This is not forgetting that the State has a wide range of Fish resources which account for the core of the economic activities in the riverine area of the State.
Ondo State is equally blessed with extensive deposits of crude oil (currently she accounts for 12% of the Nation’s oil produce), bitumen (4th largest deposit in the world), glass sand, kaolin, granites, marble and limestone. Therefore, the state has great potential for rapid industrial growth in view of its raw materials base.
Dear noble Elders and concerned Friends, our great State, our commonwealth which is evident in our industrious human capital resource, our aquatic resources, our arable land for agriculture and our largely untapped non-oil mineral resources to mention a few, require an administration that is led by an experienced, sincere, capable, people centered leadership, if we must further harness the huge possibilities and opportunities that would serve as rewards to the interest of the generality of the Ondo State people and give us the future we deserve.
Our Future
I am first and foremost a CITIZEN of Ondo State, with personal values such as SELFLESS-SERVICE, TRANSPARENCY, and EXAMPLERARY LEADERSHIP, values that stand me in good stead, qualified and capable enough to offer selfless, committed stewardship to the good people of Ondo State.
Over the years, I Chief Olusola Oke, together with the teams I have been privileged to serve with, has demonstrated integrity, capacity for service, and peerless leadership. My antecedents speak volume about my doggedness and determination to be a platform that enhances societal advancement. I have a deep-seated belief in the ideology of purposeful leadership and team spirit.
I make this commitment to you based on my core values of SELFLESS- SERVICE, TRANSPARENCY, and EXAMPLERARY LEADERSHIP, to ensure that together, we can translate this numerous resources from their seemingly raw form into the future you desire and deserve.
When I say you,
-I mean our children, youths, adults,
-I mean our students –in nursery, primary, secondary, vocational and tertiary levels,
-I mean our committed and hardworking farmers,

Great citizens and residents of Ondo State “History is brimful with expansive accounts of leading lights, who by providence, emerged leaders of note in their generations. Such individuals are spurred into needed action by their desire to leave color-fast imprints created in their chosen fields of human endeavor. The absence of leadership by purpose, transparency of intention and integrity in governance and obvious lack of economic blueprint that holds the promise of tangible development demands courage” – this has encouraged me to offer myself for service to my state at this critical point in the life of our state.
My dear people of Ondo State, I have with diligence and commitment served, I still am serving and still am committed to serve the responsible and resourceful people of this state in various capacities. I have learnt the art of service and I’m committed to bringing my experience to bear in this new office I seek your support to serve in, for the benefit of all the people of Ondo state.
I solemnly resolve to take full responsibility for myself, our incoming administration and Ondo state to serve and to lead with honour, equality, compassion and to be faithful to my oath of office.
I WILL confront evil and pursue justice for all based on the rule of law, while working diligently together with my team to provide for the needs of the people of Ondo state.
I WILL work with integrity, courage and the strength God provides me as I have always done, as a man answerable to God and to the people of Ondo State to fulfill this resolution as you join me in GO FORWARD to the Future that every Ondo state indigene and resident deserves.
Ondo State, my name is Chief Olusola Oke, I am capable, let us GO FORWARD.
Together, let us transform our fortunes into a very fruitful FUTUE for all
God bless you
God bless Ondo State

Certificate Forgery: Rep. Member Election nullified by Ondo State Tribunal.

An Ondo State election petition tribunal sitting in Akure canceled the election of a member of the federal house of representatives, Alfred Agboola Ajayi for reasons related to certificate forgery. Hon. Agboola is a member of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) who represents the Ilaje/ Ese-Odo federal constituency in the Nigeria house of representatives.
Since winning the controversial April elections, the rep member who heads the house committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has been dogged with allegations of certificate forgery involving hiring mercenaries to write his school certificate examination on his behalf. Certificates presented at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) shows that his age, given as 38 years did not tally with that of the individual named in West African examination Council records submitted with INEC which gave a 1980 date of birth.
Justice Okungbuwa at the state tribunal gave the ruling annulling the election. The ruling effectively annulled the election on all the three grounds of the petition filed by the candidate of the Democratic Peoples Alliance (DPA) , Olubukola Ebietomiye.
Ebietomiye, through his counsel, Barrister Sola Ebiseni, had prayed the tribunal to nullify the election of Mr.Ajayi on the grounds that he was not academically qualified to contest the polls as prescribed by Section 66 of the 1999 Constitution by proving before the tribunal that Ajayi presented a forged certificate to INEC, also that the election was not conducted in tune with the Electoral Act 2006 due to widespread irregularities and massive disenfranchisement.
Apart from annulling the elections, the tribunal also disqualified Mr. Ajayi from participating in future elections that may be conducted as a result of the ruling, the tribunal also awarded N10,000 cost against Ajayi in its ruling.

Standing5:
Good governance now includes borrowing into the next 30 years of the state's income to sponsor free cocoa yam and money scheme.
As long as we are divided along religious, tribal and political line, our leader will keep manipulating us to get away with their crimes.
I see nothing in borrowing to do capital projects. once the terms and conditions attached to the loan are favourable. Moreover there are some developed countries that borrowed to developed their territories too.
