Science/Technology › (photo)Girl Develops Underwear With Lock And GPS Alert To Prevent Rape. by tspouse(op): 1:06pm On Jan 19, 2018 |
This is new. An Indian girl has developed what she claims are rape-proof underwear featuring a lock, a GPS alert for police and a video camera to record an attacker’s face. Seenu Kumari, who was born into a poor family in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, spent less than £50 in creating the pants which comes with an emergency call button and a combination lock. The pink garment, which the teenager is hoping to take to the wider market, is also bulletproof and cannot be cut by a knife. Kumari said: ‘I have put a smart lock that won’t open till you key in the password. I have also installed an electronic device that is equipped with a GPS and calling facility. ‘When somebody tries to molest a woman, this device will send out messages to relatives of the woman and also to the police. ‘The cop would be able to arrive at the crime scene following the GPS and foil the rape attempt.’ She has also installed a video recorder so that it could capture and store the identity of the culprits. The teenager added: ‘A woman doesn’t need to wear this underwear always. She can wear it when she is travelling alone or if she finds a place unsafe. ‘This can help save the woman from wicked men who would try to violate her dignity.’ If a woman was to come under attack, a woman wearing the underwear could press a button on the device which would call a pre-set emergency number. The prototype for the underwear has been sent to the National Innovation Foundation in Allahabad for patenting.

Crime › Remember When 2face Was Shot? This Is The Story by tspouse(op): 10:42am On Jan 19, 2018 |
The date was Thursday, October
4, 2007. 2face Idibia was in a car
with a couple of friends
including Ifeanyi Odogwu
brother to the singer, Faze when
they were attacked by gunmen.
2face was shot on his thigh
during the process.
According to Ifeanyi who gave a
detailed account of what
happened, he said the gunmen
had with them, locally made
guns.
"All I can remember is that at
Cele Bus Stop along Oshodi-
Apapa Expressway in Lagos we
suddenly started hearing 'Open'
'Open'. An attempt by 2Face to
open the door the man who had
a locally made gun opened fire
on him. 2Face himself started
shouting 'Run Run'," he
explained to Ayeni Adekunle
who covered the story when it
broke.
Thankfully, 2face wasn't badly
hurt as he had a laptop on his
lap when he was shot at which
prevented the bullets from
penetrating deeply into his body.
After the ugly incident, 2Face
was rushed to Cedar Group
Hospital at Festac Town where
he underwent a minor surgery
to remove the 22 bullets from
his thigh. This was the same
hospital he was treated for his
2005 robbery attack.
At the time of the incident,
2Face was on his way to FESTAC
Town from Murtala
Mohammed international
airport. He had just won the
"Best African Act" at the 12th
edition of MOBO awards in
London when he was attacked
by robbers.
On Monday, October 8, 2007,
2face Idibia during his recovery
process spoke to the media. "I
thank God. ‘Cos I know it’s not
luck. The bullet could have hit
me somewhere more
dangerous. So I really thank
God, and I’m really trying to
understand what he’s trying to
tell me with this incident" said
2face Idibia.
The singer further said "we
didn’t know it was robbers. We
even thought it was a car trying
to ram into us. It was not until I
saw the gun, and heard the shot
that I realised what they wanted.
So I told my guy, let’s find our
way o… these guys mean
business. I didn’t even know the
bullet hit me. It was while we
were running, that my left leg
started failing me, that I realised
what had happened."
"It’s really sad; that people
would allow frustration lead
them into doing such things.
There are people on the road,
selling stuff, trying so hard to
make it. Nothing comes easy in
life; you’ve just got to keep
trying. I pray they’ll convert all
the energy they use to organise
those attacks into doing positive
things that’ll help their lives. "
2face Idibia spoke about the
robbery incident in a private
hospital because of the amount
of well wishers that trooped over
the weekend at the hospital in
FESTAC.
Thankfully, 2face Idibia has not
been attacked by robbers ever
since then. |

Investment › Re: Making Smart Money From Your Smart Phone Globally by tspouse(m): 9:26am On Jul 29, 2017 |
adedejidamilare: Most people spend hours daily online chatting and posting stuffs and literally make no money doing these things. on the contrary , they constantly think of buying data for subscription. Most people cant survive without being online at least even if its whatsapp for three straight days. i remember what happened the other day i was traveling to lagos. A young lady sat beside me and just because she forgot to buy airtime before the cab took off she had so much discomfort and was really unhappy. Her data subscription was out and by her countenence and action you would have seen easily that she wasnt herself.
this is how an average person is too. we cant do without our phones. have you ever lost your phone before. you know how hurtful the feeling is. humans are just addicted to their phones. Most companies know that you are addicted to your phone so to them its an opportunity to make money . Today MTN and other top telcom companies make billions from our addiction to phone. imagine 1,000,000 just buying #100 airtime daily thats a whopping 100 million naira naira daily. in thirty days you and i would have made MTN 3 billion naira richer without putting reference to data at all. When i first saw these figures i went blind for five seconds. i realised i will be foolish if i dont utilize the telecom/ mobile technology industry to my own advantage.
That led me to a discovery of an amazing business that pays people when others use their business platform to carry out these little transactions that eventually become mammoth cumulatively. today i earn in a month what my neighbors and relatives earn in 6 months. you will agree with me that its possible from the example i gave above
i dont want to enjoy this business alone . i can put you through as long as you are a hard working and you are willing to lnvest the start up capital (because any good business requires good capital) and you are willing to learn . but please note that this is not a ponzi scheme. This is serious business for serious minded business people willing to invest and work it.
Success doesn't happen by magic you have to create it. Please just reach me by my number . don't drop email because its I know many people are not active on their emails. Thanks Yours , Adedeji +2348161735232 dmercyfulgod@gmail.com |
