U know I got you there because hospitality industry is a key industry in the service sector

So it's obvious u now know the truth but choose to run away from it
You claimed hospitality is the highest employer of labour in Nigeria.

That is ridiculous coming from someone who claim he did MBA in Biz Admin.

Go and edit you post if you no longer believe in what you said.

I have listed banking, educational sector, agric sector that employed more than hospitality.

Mind you guest houses are not factored into hospitality because the contribution is negligence to Imo state and useless to Nigeria.

That's why you have the highest number of unemployed youth

Oya name the sector na... I dey wait
Agricultural sector is the highest employer of labour in Nigeria.
In service sector, financial institution and education sector employed more than hotel. Real estate and health sector employed more.

Not to talk of manufacturing, I don't know why you choose to be this funny

You have written more than 6 paragraph without saying anything

Dangote is the single highest individual employer years

But as an industry there is no sector in Nigeria that employs more people than the hospitality industry in Nigeria outside agro none

Lmaooo I got my MBA in business administration over 5 years ago... See a nobody says he wants to educate me Lmaooo

Lol u never fit still tell me how factories are better economic drivers than hotels ooh...
But sound so dumb in your argument here.
How can you rate hotel above industry. And to rate all those Guest house as hotel beats imagination. How many 5star hotels are in entire SE not to even mention Owerri.

You what is the annual profit of the Owerri hotel?

Have you ever looked up the contribution of hotel and tourism and where the majority of the revenue from that sector comes from.

Now I give you this as an assignment, Ogun state generate more revenue from hotel and tourism more than Imo state, go and check the record before you respond

How much are wheelbarrow pushers taxed per day
But you just said the governors don't want to tax the people.

For your info the bulk of the tax generated by each state is from PAYE, that brings about what your governors have been doing to bring your people into tax net since the petty traders are not being taxed
Politics › Re: Top 10 States With The Highest Internally Generated Revenue In 2023 by Ttalk: 11:16am On Oct 29, 2024
SE are drawing the entire South down with their protective and overpampering of their governors who just pay salary and bolt with the remaining money.

Rather than concerntrate on generating revenue, they prefer to dance gwo gwo gwo ngwo and spend the rest of their time blaming Tinubu and SW people

Just imagine Kwara state is generating more revenue than Anambra says more about the priority of those who have ruled the state.

Their love with IPOB and anything mediocre is worrisome, as many of them detest Soludo who is trying to clean up the mess of Peter Obi.

It is high time SE people talk to themselves and think home rather than turns SW to their home

U don't need vision to increase IGR... U just need to be heartless

Most businesses in South East are not taxed to allow them grow and out competete their pairs across the country

Most hotels, clubs and even most companies don't remit payee tax... It's all done on purpose to boast economic growth
Stop yearning dust, the kind of taxes going on in SE is worrisome, wheelbarrow pusher and gala hawkers are tax to death just the way Agbero tax the transporters.

What is lacking in SE is lack of accountability and huge corruption that the people are comfortable with because of their tribal proclivity.

Stop giving another narration to justify the failure of your state government to increase their igr

Stop using naira to measure ur growth because it depreciating everyday. The value of ur igr 4 years ago when u use dollar rate you will see that u have made no improvement because ur purchasing power is very weak now.
What should now say if we use same logic to evaluate the igr of the entire SE.

horsepower102:
The Yorubas that we Nigerians know very well would have mounted multiple protests if 1/10th of the suffering going on today in Nigeria was under Peter Obi or Atiku or south south president.

This is not an opinion but based on facts. 2012 occupy Nigeria protests is a reminder of what they do when their own is not in power. Yet, many of them are wishing we can go back to the 2012 economy.

Yorubas, I like the way you have finally shown all Nigerians that you are collectively very capable of keeping silent in the face of horrible economy.

You better not go back to your old ways once a president from another tribe gets into power.
Deji Adeyanju, Sowore were the ones who led the endbadgovernance protest, while your people activated their Mondays sit at home fear by delcaring they wont join the protest.

You should be ashamed of yourself rather than making excuses.

He provided you with record that Tinubu has increased ECA that was depleted in the day of boom while Jonathan was president.

That point is enough for a sensible person to maintain decorum

I am not in any way affiliated to the honorable member neither am I a lover of Nigerian politicians but it's good to call a spade a spade.
I read comments where so many Nigerians where calling the honorable rep evil names, some went even far as to lay curses on him and threaten him without knowing they are committing same "crime" they want to crucify the honorable member for.
They want to remove the log of wood in someone else eyes forgetting theirs is so big that they are almost blind.

First of all, former DSP case is not the same as this.

Second, it appears the Honorable was home alone, no family, no help and no security. Ordinarily, if they were around, he wouldn't be dealing with the bolt driver. In fact, his security would have dealt with him.

Lastly, the residence appears to be an estate with open or soft compound entry, the type you can see the entry door from outside.
And his security guard was on holiday?

You think say you dey wise?

Open the Calabar port. Why shouls a Calabar man come to Lagos to clear his goods when his town should have a thriving seaport?

Una lucky for this country. If i am the president, i will ban importation from Western ports for like ten years, so you guys will go to Bayelsa or Akwa Ibom them, to clear your goods. That will help reset a lot of faulty brains like yours.
If your brain is not fake you will take your complain to God to dry deep water in Lagos and turn your muddy soil to atlantc ocean.

Niger deltans should fight this. The South west APC clan has always felt like stealing from the Niger Delta. Its as if the Niger Delta is being over pampered. Thats a lie. The ND produce the funds, the need more cash from the huge amounts made from their land. The Niger Delta Ministry was created for a very strict purpose; to help the oil producing communities get more projects from the oil proceeds gotten from their land.

Development commission being created here and there, do not serve this specific purpose. It either there is a special Ministry for the Niger delta or the derivation percent should be upgraded to 50%. If tinubu wants to tighten his belt, he should start by selling his new jets and yachts. How can a man who just created "The Livestock Ministry" *whatever that nonsense means), abrogate the Niger Delta Ministry??
See them. Same people who criticised Coastal road are now showing fake sympathy.

Everything about them is fake
