He should turn his importation business to production business so he can employ his IPOB brothers constituting nuisance daily on Nairaland.

His uncle's that are slaving for 18k can get a relieve if he started production of something valuable

Minimum wage supposed to be over 200k based on current inflation

Under GEJ, minimum wage is 18k but it will buy 2 bags of rice at 7k - 7,500 that you will still have some balance left

Today, a bag of rice goes for 100k which means minimum wage cannot even buy 1 bag of rice

The real value of money is the purchasing power of money
How much is your governor paying.if you fall into category of governors that pay 18k, go and give advice to your governor

The same way the United States have the likes of Biden and Trump lol. There is just a single problem to the Nigerian malady which is DISHONESTY. Frankly speaking that is all of all it takes to be great. Same Nigerians outside the country have contributed to criminality than positive progress irrespective of tribe or religion.
The Youruba nation is a very, very Complex conception one which according to you, making reference to the days of regional government is like the typical Nigerian mentality that goes back and forth.
What is complex about Nigeria nation. I doubt if you have ever worked in any Nigeria establishment then you will understand that Nigeria should not be one when you see the level of unpatriotism among the leadership.

No single person in Nigeria see Nigeria as an asset that need to be preserved, nurtured and grow. What we see is a blatant rape and plunder from head to bottom and it has nothing to do with honestly. It simple show no one see Nigeria as his heritage

I would hold Tinubu responsible if fails to punish Kyari and any other individual involved in this shenanigan. It is pure display of arrogance and extreme negligence

See we need to borrow money to defend the naira.

If am president today sure I would borrow money but my borrowed money would be spent in such a way I'm guaranteed a revenue increase greater than the debt service
Do you understand how fx market works? What is the amount of money you would need to stabilize naira.? The more you talk the more you reveal your cluelessness in economic matters
Politics › Re: Peter Obi : I Would’ve Borrowed Money To Defend The Naira! (video) by Ttalk: 11:16am On Oct 12, 2024
DeLaRue:
Chai.

Borrow money to defend the naira?

In which country has it ever worked.

In the last 2 years, Japan has spent over $100 billion defending the Yen, yet the Yen still fell drastically.

1. For how long can you borrow to defend a currency, especially a sub saharan African currency.

2. He claims to have the contacts to borrow $12 billion which he would use to defend the naira and support businesses. The trillions that Mr Buhari released to support farmers were never paid back. So Nigerians that M r Obi will give part of the borrowed billions will pay back?

3. What happens when the money you borrow runs out, since you will never be able to defeat the foreign exchange markets in the long run?

Once you run out of money to defend the naira, then all hell will break loose on the naira.

The currency markets will hit the naira so hard, it will be knocking on N3000 to a dollar.

I honestly marvel at Mr Obi's naivety. Every time he talks about the economy, you just wonder. He clearly doesn't understand how the currency markets work.

The truth is that, the chicken of decades-long mismanagement of the economy was coming home to roost by the 2nd term of Mr Buhari's government.

The government after him had to take some tough decisions or we would end up like Haiti, Venezuela, Zimbabwe.
You've summed it up in this sentence.

Mrvitalis, please try and improve on your reading, there are many scope you need to cover to have a good grasp of world economy.

No Africa country can sustain it's currency by defending it. You can't defent Naira against dollar, it's not going to be possible in this generation.

What government needs to do is to streghten it's fundamentalls and allowed it's currency to find it's true value

Your concerns are very valid Kobo, and I share them BUT you see Peter Obi? That man is the only man with the will to fight the corruption you are talking about.

He has acknowledged these same concerns repeatedly and was the only one of the three ready to make the sacrifices, leading by example.

For instance, Obi would have strictly limited the access to cheap dollars to productive sectors like manufacturing, agriculture etc and would have monitored it personally.

It's all about the will of the leader. Knowing obi, he's plan wasn't just to throw money at the problem. Obi is ready to disburse that money himself bypassing your cbn/ finance ministry if necessary.

I

You are politically sound cos I told a friend just some weeks ago regarding Edo election. If Wike and Fubara don't settle which I don't pray for and Wike relationship with Tinubu is still intact, then bye bye for second term for Fubara. Currently Wike still control the structure of the pdp in the state. Wike has started romancing with a formidable Ijaw politician, senator Magnus Abe, who is a staunch supporter of Tinubu and he was the campaign director in rivers before the Apc presidential primaries. He only decamped to Sdp when he fell out with Ameachi for last year governorship election but declare his supporters to vote Tinubu for president. Wike, Ameachi and Abe were good friends before they fallout. Ameachi choose Wike as chief of staff and Magnus Abe was SSG. When Ameachi nominate Wike as minister, Abe went to the Senate. Ameachi and Wike both betrayed Abe in different occasions to be governor. 2027 might just be his turn cos Wike has reconcile with him now. Emotional people will not agree with you but that is what it is. Tinubu is not Buhari cos he his a pure party man to the core. Wike has been appointing his strong political foot soldiers from rivers in Tinubu's government.
You analysis is on point, the only thing you miss out is that Magnus Abe is not Ijaw, he is Ogoni one of the ethnic that deserves to be governor.

E go choke. Amaechi may not be able to work against Magnus Abe candidacy this time around.

Just leave the dullard Obidients to be making noise online, I always laugh at their ignorance
