Stop threatening and DO IT !!! If it pains you that my forefather owned Lagos and will still own it till eternity then I cant help you. Nigerians are mentally losing it.

owobokiri: If you have any evidence against anyone for producing "fake LG" or fake anything, then use that pieces of evidence and arrest the person involved. That's what I am saying. This is exactly the way it is done elsewhere in the world. Identify the oerson involved, arrest the perwon, prosecute, get him/her sentenced and have the peron jailed.
Don't start a propaganda war against a people/ethnic group/religion or section of the country based on an UNVERIFIED footage dumped on the internet by an unknown quantity. This should have been very easy and fair a position to take, but its Tinubus Nigeria where folks like you are ready to burn down the whole Lagos just to teach some people "a lesson".. We won't burn what it took us and our forefathers years to build. Rather we will flush miscreants, economic terrorist who produce fake product out of our region. The sale of fake products didn't start today, there are loads of reports with the government already and it is high time the right thing is done. Alaba market has outlived it's existence in that corridor, there's is urgent need to sanitize that area and allow the residents heave a sight of relieve. LASG will demolish that place and build a brand new market for genuine traders, and put up a mechanism to checkmate production of fake products. You have nothing to worry about if you are not into production and distribution of fake items. |

Politics › Re: As They Prepare To Close Alaba International Market by Ttalk: 6:54am On Jan 12 |
owobokiri: They have started as usual with their negative propaganda. It is a predictable template; defame a geoup/party/region and then use soldiers and the Police to destroy the source of their income. You tell yourself so much lies in a lifetime that at a point you start believing your own lies. They have always wanted to trend a warped narrative that South Eastern businesses thrive based on fake products. They used to say it was juju. That lie didn't fly long enough, so the new one... When you can't compete, you would want to do damage to the intergrity of the guy who out-competed you..
So they went to Onitsha and closed the whole medicine market for most of last year! Unannounced! Both the innocent and the guilty were all lumped into one place and summarily punished without remorse. Families were left stranded. Bread winners were left with no work for months. Instead of identifying those who did wrong, a blanket attack on the whole stalls and warehouses in the market that runs into thousands shops with teilkion naira worth of goods, was orchestrated with the help of the security agencies. Shops were looted, unconstitutional fines imposed and lives wrecked. It took the coming of VDM to open their nyaansh. In the end, we didn't see them destroy the trillions naira worth of medicines they seized. The whole seized products went into thin air..
Having been very successful with that test run, they have started towards Alaba market. They have always wanted to unravel that very Alaba market, but since medical or food products were not sold there, finding "terrifying" excuses to invade have been very tortuous. They waited a long time without finding aa good excuse to attack.. So they threw a hail Mary with one propaganda video of fake TVs being repackaged. Within hours, the Lagos government that has been practically aloof to her duties in many sectors, started yapping rudderlesly. Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) who gave the certifications for all imports started barking. They even got LG to start talking, yet no investigations have been made!
You need no one to tell you what this is all about. It is a prelude to invade Alaba international market with touts and to vandalise the place the same way they did at Onitsha Drugs/Medicines market. In few days, you will hear that a contingent of the military, the police, the civil defence and Co, have been drawn to the market to seal it off, so that the government will investigate reported cases of fake products in the market. That will most probably last for months as the Lagos media is unleashed to saturate the whole place with negative articles about bad business activities in the market.... All these while corruption and fakery thrive in other areas, including the areas they dominate. Same way they were carting away trucks of medicines at Onitsha while their agbo sellers were busy wrecking kidneys..
We have been here before. We know what is going on. It is called "economic terrorism". We are witnessing a situation where the states coercive instruments are being used to fight sectional battles. This country is a mess in terms of her abilities to maintain standards in every sector. So there is nothing bad in fighting to upgrade and uphold greater standards across board! What is wrong though is when a vindictive/sectional party in power, out of ethnic animosity, unleashes a well choreographed sectional "fight" against corruption/fake products/criminal behaviour in the country, with the ultimate goal of destabilising other ethnic/regional/religious or interest groups. That is a tribal attack being decorated as a national fight right there..
That is not how you build a country.., That is how you destroy a country.. What's your suggestion, that fake product should be allowed to take the place of the real product. I was expecting you to address the video where fake LG label was attached to a product not produce by LG company. What can be more terrorizing than deceiving gullible Nigerians to buy fake LG. Same people who are into fake electronics are the one producing fake wine all littered in Nigeria market, fake drug in Onitsha and been distributed across Nigeria, it was the fight against this menace that consequently led to the death of Akuyili husband. How will a society allowed such menace to continue? Why is it convenient for some people to destroy the entire society with their fake product? What is the different between people who kill with gun and the one who kill with fake products. |

Politics › Re: If Atiku-obi Couldn't Defeat Buhari, Why Do You Think It Can Defeat Tinubu? by Ttalk: 8:44pm On Jan 11 |
AMINDA: Governors relied on Buhari’s popularity to win their elections. Buhari had cult-like followership until and even after his death. Buhari has 12m organic supporters in the North. Now compare with Tinubu who only won with 8m votes and 5.6m of those votes coming from the North while losing in Lagos and Osun, his home turf. Compare with a Tinubu who's desperately relying on the popularity or might of the state governors to win his own re-election. Then you'll realise that Tinubu is not Buhari. Atiku/Obi pulled 11m votes against a Buhari. It will be a walk-over against Tinubu. Thats the thought of an average person. Just like every other person, predictable, narrow and shallow. However, the world of politics does t work on a straight line. Because it rained cat and dog yesterday, doesn't mean it will rain same tomorrow. There is a wide gap between yesterday and tomorrow, which mayẹ likely rain Tiger and Leoperd, but a mediocre cant see that, he failed to reflect on what's currently happening. The decamped of many governors that swells APC governor to 30 and the inability of ADC to pull any surprise during rerun and Anambra governorship election are turning points that nullify yesterday's permutations. Tomorrow will be build on the foundation of today's political performance, which is pain and defeat of your ADC |

That was how you propagandists lied about giving Dangote free land for refinery until it became public that he coughed out good money for it. How much is your tin-god paying to possess Eko Atlantic and 150m setbacks on both sides along the entire stretch of the coastal road? Can you provide the CofO that indicate Tinubu own Eko Atlantic City? If you cant, I will avail you to read 1979 Land use Act so you will understand who own what as far as Landed properties in Nigeria are concerned. Politics › Re: Senseless Demolition On Coastal Road by Ttalk: 2:17pm On Jan 09 |
horlando30: I drove through the Lagos calabar coastal highway recently and i did not fail to notice the demolition notice written on many beautiful structures adjacent the road on both sides. Govt asking for 150 metres clearance from the highway. That is ridiculous, 150 metres is like 4 full plots of land, what do they intend to use such land clearance for? I was told this was a directive from the president. As much as I welcome the idea of the coastal road, it makes no sense to destroy people's property for no just cause. I saw beautiful houses, fuel station, high rises marked for demolition from marwa to okun ajah on the island which could cover nothing less than a 1000 properties and structures in a small state like Lagos. This is pure waste of resources by the government. I want to assume the president does not understand what 150 m really translates to but what of the minister of works. Average clearance on highways in the US is between 5 and 40 meters. WTH do you need 4 plot clearance for? Or is someone trying to steal land by proxy? You are lying with your 150meter clearance from the highway of coastal road. I challenge you to prove any official document or residential accounts that stated that government demanded for 150m clearance. It is the policy of FG of Nigeria to give clearance parts on every highway and the stipulated length from the highway is 45m in each of the sides of the road, the total of both sides which amount to 90m. Where did you see 150m? This applies to FG roads across Nigeria, just like same observed in second Niger bridge so also is applicable to Lagos -Calabar coastal road. I know you deliberately increases the ROW to 150m to justify and spread your hate for the government. However, while doing that, you have forgotten that many property owners along that corridor are on Nairaland reading your distorted information.

Politics › Re: Senseless Demolition On Coastal Road by Ttalk: 1:57pm On Jan 09 |
AMINDA: What you saw was simply one man's insatiable greed. What did you think the recent quarrel with Sanwo-olu was about? After awarding 15 trillion naira of our common patrimony to cronies to do a coastal road, he's aiming to grab 150m setback on each side for himself and friends. The federal ministry in-charge of lands and survey has since been moved to the presidency for closer supervision. Owning half of Lagos, including Eko Atlantic is clearly not enough. So dark the con of man! Tinubu doesn't own 5% of Lagos, if we are talking about those that own properties in Lagos, Dangote will come before Tinubu. If Lagos indigenes in their magnanimity allowed Dangote a Hausa man to own property and investments in Lagos, who is the Mr nobody, the karanbaniyakuya that should complain of Tinubu own property in Lagos? |
