kushme: What kind of Gov' is this? So, there is an elderly retiree i sometimes gist with, i saw him today and he looked worried, i greeted him, he answered and kept quiet. Unlike him, he would have said more than just answering the greetings. After few minutes of keeping quiet, the next think he said was "what kind of gov' is this?"
I looked at him and asked what the matter was, he said, he transfered 60k to someone from his Access account and 19k was removed as tax. So, me, i don't understand oh. Thats way too much oh.. If tax like this is removed from transfers, then prices of commodities would go up in due time. Wetin them dey use the tax money do self? I want to assume you are educated so my response to you will be based on the logical meaning you find in that story. How do you assume 19k deduction is solely for tax deduction if truly you are educated. Where is the place of common sense in this? Haven't you made a transfer of up to 50k this year, how much was deducted from such transfer you made? Why bringing unverified claim here when you could have help the old man trace what actually caused the deduction. |

Is it not to elect the only businessman we have that is showing interest in presidency? Must we die under politicians? For 65 years we've voted the same politicians, are you guys not tired of loosing? Nigeria is already a laughing stock in the world stage. Even the smallest country no longer respect Nigeria, which we saw clearly after Anthony Joshua incident. Your comment show you are a foreigner. Jonathan was not interested in the national politics until Obasanjo brought him into limelight, ditto for Yaradua. Don't dabble into what you don't know, if the power that be want any of them they will bring them forth to come and contest. Just know that we won't settle for a container economist and a supermarket business man |

SenecaTheYonger: We need our own TRUMP in Nigeria and that is Peter Obi.
One thing Trump and Obi share in common is that they are successful businessmen.
Politicians are just to evil to run a country. We need to try a businessperson, just like America has done
If we want to try business people, Obi doesn't fit in, we would be looking in the direction of Dangote, Otedola. No one will settle for importer who destroyed our local manufacturing sector with imported items
Whether you like Trump or hate him, you cannot deny that he puts America first before any political belief or godfather, or cabal.
We need someone that will put Nigerians first. We need a Businessman. Enough of politicians. There is not a single good career politician in Nigeria. |

For the sake of argument, let us agree Igbos supported it then, seeing the wisdom in meritocracy, they have leaned in that direction.

Now imagine it was the South Westerners who voted in support of this very quota system, were you and your kinsmen going to be this calm? Wouldn’t this thread be filled with biles and tantrums already? Now we know who and who are the true fulanis’ slaves. They dance to the tunes of the Fulanis from time immemorial. Which juju did the Fulanis even use on those other southerners who supported it when the sane ones walked out? You dey mind him. They were in government right from the 80s and throughout the military regime and up to Jonathan regime eating, dinning and wrecking the economy, today they are crying because they lost and now trying to change the story. |

I cannot begin to comb threads here where concerns have been raised about quota system especially in admissions into our schools. It’s always “your side” supporting the lunacy.
It serves me no good arguing this as it is akin to asking me for proof whether yorubas supported Buhari, a total waste of time. Stop ranting and speak fact. SW still maintain the highest entry requirement into the university up till today. Bring your fact that show SW support quota system. Maybe Nigeria started in 2015. Who support and organize 1million match for Sanni Abacha Today you are presenting a 3rd class graduate of Philosophy to come and govern Nigeris |

The question is, why do you guys now support quota system? On very many national issues inclusive the quota system problem, even when northerners fail to defend it, certain southern elements (they know themselves) will be out in full support. Same persons supported a Buhari who knew next to nothing about improving economy, for good 8 years. Who and who support quota system. Judging by the timeline, many of those students would be the ones running Nigeria today, but instead of promoting meritocracy, they are tolerating it and some of them are even celebrating it while it destroys meaningful progress in Nigeria. My point is who will bankroll ADC in the presidential election. Those that stole money and ran to ADC are being picked one after the other while others like El Rufai are scared of spending their money now when they have 2031 to contend with.
The permutation doesn't favour opposition, my advice to Peter Obi is to decamp to APC |

Scrap that idea of " Spy" However i think we should address those making aspersion that it is BAD Atiku son is not head stuck in his father Ass ... What just happen in the Atiku family is one of the beauties of democracy .. people shouldnt forget *Freedom of association* thats properly one luxury Seyi Tinubu will never be able to afford cos he must walk in his father shoe .. As people we should leave sentiments and emotions aside ....we should acknowledge its a welcome development that can further strengthen our democracy .. freedom of association Though I agree completely with right of individual to chose his part away from parent but the circumstances at which this occurred will affect Atiku, this was a son who has been in the same camp with the dad and even won the HoR seat in PDP where his dad contested as presidential candidate and won in Kano that was largely populated by NNPP to now suddenly dump Atiku camp into Tinubu camp will death a devastating blow to Atiku. The implication of such action at the eve of election far outweigh any information or advice he may have to offer his dad. It's like expecting Gumi son as a military officer be given vital information regarding the arrest of Gumi for terrorism, no one does that |

We have 360HoR member, and he is one out of about 20members from Kano state. What advantage will that decamp offer Atiku either as a spy or whatever anyone want to term it. However, that action is capable of sending wrong signal to people who may want to consider Atiku in ADC but his sons action is a setback to such move. It is a fundamental flaws that will hunt Atiku in the coming election. Will anyone like to stake his life, his money for Atiku project when his son is running away from such project? |

Bobloco: That’s the wrong question. The issue isn’t whether the ADC stands a chance without an Atiku/Obi ticket; it’s whether any election conducted under Tinubu in 2027 will be credible at all, or remembered as one of the worst and most compromised elections in Nigeria’s history. When state institutions are openly bent to serve the ruling party, the problem is no longer the opposition’s candidates but the integrity of the entire electoral process. Where were you when Maurice Iwu conducted election and result were merely written from Abuja in favour of PDP. Were you equally not aware of Peter Obi scoring 95% win rate due to massive rigging for him. Just carry your nonsense false alarm comot here, tell your party to get prepared for the election or they should keep kwayet |

The north should account for all the security votes wasted to curb the insecurity they created.
Between insecurity and Tinubu reform, which one has negatively affected Nigerian most.
The destruction caused by Boko Haram, Bandits and herdsmen has led to crippling poverty in the north and in the entire country. The enormous amount of money budget to fight insecurity is enough to revamp our Agricultural sector with modernized equipment but how will that work when the northern foot soldiers are skipping and sacking farmers.
The north who ruined Nigeria with insecurity for 15 years shouldn't complain of Tinubu reform of 2 years |
