It gets to a certain stage one has to ask why this a frequent occurence amongst RCCG psators? Something is wrong somewhere and its obvious G.O Adeboye is a thief and a friend of thieves and thats why he attracts thieves. |
Whats with the long posts sef? Some of us are constantly on the move and have to read using a handheld and we've not got much time. Keep the mumbo jumbo out and straight to the point pls. |
tkb417:What foolish errands? To bail out banks ruined by crooked pastors?? Is that what we pay tax for? rat- do you think Govt use tax payers money to make money? What a joke. Government dont make investments ?Maybe what you typed is a mistake. |
tkb417:Shut up. Repaid after how many years? How much returns ![]() |
precap2:Makes no sense to me. If the investor had refused to divest and re-invested his profit and in 2010 his investments are worth 2,000% wouldnt you be the same fellow hailing his ''financial wisdom'' and labelling those who divested as taking an ''unwise'' and ''ignorant'' decision? No matter how you people try to deceive yourselves therz no set science in stock markets. Its all about gambling and hoping fat thieving CEO's like akingbola manage your investments well. The financial world is full of fat lazy pundits who sit back with the benefit of hindsight and bellow out judgements. If A is the situation today they claim you should have done B three years ago, if B is the case today they claim you should have done A three years ago. Crazy As for investing into Akingbola's hand by investing in the bank and all that, you don't seem to know much about how corporate bodies work. Let me give you a little insight. There was rumor about Microsoft taking over other OS like Solaris, etc, and people rushed to buy MS shares because it means profitable monopoly. MS shares rose from $63.21 to $118.60 in less than 72 hours. Some people still bought it at that peak price before reason prevailed and the price plunged, went down to $71 and could not go higher for several months. Those who bought the share at $118.60 should blame Messrs William Gates and Steve Balmer's managerial incompetence and all? Most Nigerian banks entered the market over-priced. I also follow the history of stocks in Naija with keen interest as I still have a few useless stocks here and there. What is this? Rubbish in my opinion. Here is what you said. precap2:Unless you can prove to me IT IS NOT the CEO's job to manage and protect shareholders funds as you are clearly stating in the quote above all other asides are just rant. |
Deep Sight:You are yet to show that anything ''departs'' per se. Neither have you shown the contradictory and wrong nature of my statements. I have tried to tell you that nothing departs. It just stops working. The same way the difference between a running car engine and a dead one is heat. Or do spirits depart from cars too? |
precap2:1.frankly You are talking rubbish 2. Investing in ICB IS investing with Akingbola. I remember the prospectus where his qualities and records where greatly extolled. He is CEO and his is to manage and protect shareholders investments. That is his job description. (we all know how he messed that up) 3. On what basis would it had been ''better financial wisdom'' for the investor to have taken out his money in 2008?? Was there some kind of magical indicator that suggested in 2008 that NOW is the best time to cash in or are you people labelling it ''financial wisdom'' based on the benefit of hindsight ![]() If its the latter then I strongly suggest you all go back to school and learn the basics of business and investment which is plough back profit or re-invest your profits. Shame |
MackDealer:Sorry I never called you names and its quite unfortunate that you think so. I called your comment stupiid and frankly I stand by it. Akingbola was never CEO of AIICO,AP or CHEVRON. Also, AIICO, AP or CHEVRON where never bailed out using taxpayers money due to the corrupt and unethical practices of the CEO as regards running the business. So, shouldnt any comparism and akingbola name dropping as regards AP, AIICO be rightly labelled ''stupiid'' ![]() |
Deep Sight:i really dont understand this multi-coloured stuff up there but but heat is a consequence of the work achieved by chemical reactions in a living body. As soon as the cells cease to work they stop producing heat and through decay convert to different energy forms. Heat is continually being produced and expelled from the body. Therz an exchange of heat between body and environment. According to you as I'm walking on the street right now in this wicked summer heat spirits are flying off my skin in form of heat? ![]() If the dead rat cells are somehow artificially stimulated to work again, they'll still produce heat! the heat is not ''imbubed'' with life rather its a consequence of life. How you equate loss of kinetic energy as a result of death to spirit is beyond me. |
^^ What the hell is ''spiritual energy'', ''mental energy'' ?? |
MackDealer:No offense but your comment is totally stupiid and under no circumstance will it hold any reason. Akingbola was never CEO OF AIICO or whatever so there was no basis for your tactless remark. |
tkb417:ah ok, how EXACTLY was the poster ''stupiid''?? Oh, so you do agree investing with a useless, incompetent, hypocritic pastor embezzler like Akingbola who gives a portion of his loot to G.O Adeboye is ''stupidity'', ''not smart'' and ''ignorance''?? |
debosky:Yea, I wonder why lloyd's CEO isn't in exile running from the law like a criminal. I repeat, ''demons'' where responsible for intercontinental's downfall. Joker MackDealer:sheer stupidity and lame strawman argument. Was Akingbola the CEO of AIICO? By all means go hold the CEO in AIICO who made bad business decisions responsible as the fellow here has done with intercontinental bank. |
Deep Sight:A question mark at the end of your title would be more appropriate. As it is, your title suggests in no uncertain terms thermodynamics as evidence for ''spitit''. But in doing so, please note what my intention for this thread is: to demonstrate that the life force within a living craeture, which is indeed energy, does not cease to be exist - given that energy does not cease to exist. Thus I wish to discuss the whereabouts or state of that life-force or energy,Therez a difference in temperature between the living and dead rat, could the so-called ''life force'' not be given off as heat? Interconversion of energy in the eco-system is so a basic concept that even a primary 6 pupil knows enough. |
debosky:No, it ''has not been proven'' it was corruption. Infact I put it to you it's ''bad bele'' and ''demons'' that has caused the drastic fall in price of intercontinental bank share value since the $4bn CBN banking bail out. Akingbla's corruption had nothing to do with it. What a joker |
^^ Rubbish. Akingbola's recklessness contributed to the worthlessness of his bank. Blaming it all on 'failing markets' is because of your religious sentiments is disgusting. There are banks run by efficient managers who havent plunged to such a dangerous low as intercontinental maybe those banks where operating in a different ''market''. Shior |
Isnt your heading misleading? Review the topic title as its both deceptive and irritating. Btw, have you ever heard of decay? That little sumtn that occurs when you leave a dead rat in a hole. |
Expect the diplomat to come deny these quotes credited to him in the next few days. |
the heading says he signed for 5years!
The journalists there are iidiots and i'm surprised you fell for the cheap stunt. The header says ''sings five year deal''' while the article says ''Will sign''. Shameful |
How much do actors in nollywood earn per movie that they expect one to cough up $2,500 per film? How is that even realistic? |
^^ Exactly. Pure fiction. I read those books years ago, I couldnt help but laugh. |
Did you not go to school? Where in your article did it say ''signed for barcelona''?? Later we will all complain about rubbish journalism. |
^^ Thats what they call daft journalism. Typical in our climes @article I dont give a damn who controls who, i dont even watch them movies anyway. |
And how are we sure this is no scam? |
^^ Tonye-t got his Matt 23;23 from The Gospel According to Matthew Ashimolowo. Seriously though, the bible quotes I get from naija christians these days shock me that I have no option but to request to see their own bibles. |
@Tudor, of course the thief who gives his spoils to God will be punished. i don't think you can compare Cain's sacrifice to God to sunday offering in this case. because seriously, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PURE MONEY in this world. unless it's freshly printed from the mint. and we can't all be going to central bank because we want to pay offering. [b]as opposed to Cain's rotten food sacrifices vs fresh, best fruits. all money is rotten. To God, giving your most is what is acceptable vs being stingy and giving too little.

Sis, this is the kind of unfortunate incident that happens when you read bible stories from story books or hear it from greedy pastors who twist scriptures so you can give more and more to them.Did you see any thing about ''rotten'' vs ''best'' food there? Giving from a pure heart is what makes your sacrifice acceptable to God. It clearly states there ''if you do what is right you will be accepted''. God is not a bribe taker where you can buy your way. Dont let a dog of a pastor fool you. |
toba:*YAWN* oh yes you are done here. . .almost a week we are still waiting for your elusive scripture. Its obvious you've got NOTHING. Hell we are still waiting for your ''more to come'' in the below thread, weeks later. What a joke. www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-464089.0.html |
tkb417:Why not 'act' by returning dirty money from a thief? Why dismiss the man but keep his money? **** Erastus is rich enough to giveHe is also a thief. God looks at the heat and personality of the giver not how rich he is. **** God knows what to reject and from whom he'll reject - in essence, let God do his work. I DO NOT KNOW whom God has classified a sinnerIt is clearly written in the bible whom God rejects their offerings. Thieves fall in that category. It is also written who sinners are. THIEVES t fall in that category too!. even on the cross when Jesus was to b crucified, one of thieves around him got savedi dont understand the relation here. How much did jesus collect from him? Adeboye is not on planet earth to chastise and condemn sinners, his mandate is to preach the word of God to them*YAWN* he is here to preach to sinners not collect money from sinners and refuse to return as the bible suggests. Big difference |
tkb417:Em, who does Adeboye claim to work for? In whose name does Adeboye collect the offering? You concede in the sight of God akingbola was a thief, it therefore follows that God did not receive the offerings as God does not acknowledge the money of thieves, why is Adeboye keeping money God did not accept in the first place ![]() do you think an adulterers offering is acceptable to God? or a liar? all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. By your postulation, everybodys offering will not be acceptable to God. Let God decide who and who he takes offering from.is this an excuse? So wrong. This is the full text ; Romans 3 :23-24 23.For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;verse 24 exists you know. Even if your excuse were to hold any water, Unfortunately for you, that is exactly what christianity preaches. If you cannot live by the rules of God then dont bother worshipping with your offerings as they are NOT acceptable. Very simple Offerings are a form of worship and if nobody is there to worship God said he can raise stones to do the worshipping. God does not need your dirty money, issuing threats like ''then nobody's offering will be acceptable'' are quite useless as stones can be called up to do the job. God does not accept money from thieves and no one who claims to act on behalf of God should keep ANY money given by a thief. I dont know what God wants. I am human not God and i doubt ure God tooLame, it is clearly written in the bible what God expects from you. Hogging wealth given by thieves aint definately one of them. tell us how you want Adeboye to know which of the offerings came from the illegally acquired wealth. Akingbola is a rich man just like Ovia i repeat. He built the bank from scratch so u shd know how rich he isI repeat for the millionth time, there is absolutely NO NEED for any distinction. All money from a thief is considered ''unholy'' and ''unacceptable'' by God. Seeking to make a distinction between legal and illegal wealth of a thief is an excuse for greed and to evade doing the right thing. |
Quite amazing. . . This is how a government should behave. Taking practical steps towards innovation and technological advancement to solve their own peculiar problems. Therez no better solution to your challenges than the ones innovated by yourself. Nigerians would prefer to spend 16 billion on Independence anniversaries and wait for yahweh, allah or jesus to come rapture them. Come to think of it, even if given a budget of 20 billion naira no nigerian university will competently design and produce a handheld calculator. Go india. |
tkb417:1. So are you saying Akingbola was not a thief in the sight of God until EFCC exposed him? 2. Are you also of the opinion Akingbola the thief's offering was acceptable to God? 3. It's Good you say the offering was made to God not Adeboye. If God does not accept offering of thieves, Why is Adeboye and RCCG battling to hold onto money God didnt accept in the first place and waiting for court order like debosky says? 4. if it was not accepted by God as God does not receive offerings from thieves, why is RCCG still keeping the money ![]() ![]() ?5. i also repeat that God does not differentiate the legal or illegal income of a thief. As long as you are a thief God will not accept your offering. So why is RCCG actively trying to claim his offerings are from his legal income when it is infact inconsequential to God which is which as they are all unacceptable and unholy as long as the giver is a thief ?? |
debosky:Isnt the hypocrisy on display here sickening? Why didnt RCCG wait for a ''competent body'' or ''court'' to convict him before dismissing Akingbola form his position? All of a sudden when it comes to Money they deflect to a phantom ''competent body''. What a joke |
?
