Pr0gressive01: I don't know why yorubas will never learn, it beats me how they go about beating their chests shouting 'Sophistication' while everything is pointing to the contrary.
Benjamin Adekunle took his hatred for Igbos to another level during the civil war when he went about shooting women and children at the outskirts of Biafra while the hausa/fulani were watching. After using him, they disgraced him out of the army without any benefits such that he was looking for small contracts to feed himself before he died. At some point, his son was begging for donations to be made to take him to just Ghana for treatment. We are not even talking of taking him to the USA, Germany or UK oo, just to ordinary Ghana that we can trek into he could not afford it.
Obafemi Awolowo was also used by the hausa/fulani to wage the war against Igbos were he suggested that Biafran children by starved which lead to the death of so many. Awolowo was hoping that the hausa/fulani would compensate him by supporting him to become president but it only turned out he had been used and dumped. The northerners threw all their support behind their son Shagari and Awolowo was never president. As though this was not enough, Babangida was about to arrest Awolowo(which would have been the second time the northerners would be arresting him if it had happened) and to avoid this disgrace, Awolowo had to commit suicide by drinking poison(I think Ratak).
Abiola the yoruba aere onakankanfo thought that he had the north all behind him only for them to cancel his electoral victory and throw him in prison. The hausa/fulani still went ahead to serve him a very special tea which he drank and died. They went a step further by dispatching his wife Kudirat to join him in eternity.
This brings us down to Bola Ahmed Tinubu aka BAT- jagajaga borgu. Like FFK said, Buhari is the spirit clearly behind Tinubu's woes. The hausa/fulani are out to destroy Tinubu and reduce him to one of those agberos running around Lagos shouting 'owomida' at the top of their voices. Again, another yoruba leader has been used and is being dumped.
I keep wondering why yorubas continue to mistake treachery for sophistication and cowardice for wisdom.

HenryDion: Just last year, i was seeking admission into MOUAU and the depression that follows such cause is quite horrible. I prayed, i cried, i slept in the alter and right there, i made many vows. My friends are already undergraduate, why can't i? Am i not brilliant enough? . I remember going for the post post utme exam and frankly speaking, i wasn't impressed with my performance. The questions were cheap but if care isn't taken, can fail a student woefully. After the exam, I grabbed my bag, walking down the path that leads to home with a dejected look. i got home and the first thing i did was to burn all my past question papers.. I don't need them again. My faith wasn't strong though. There were doubts but i pushed myself forward. . The expectations from friends and family was overwhelming. This might be my last chance if i fail again. Will i be able to accept failure? Suicide came to my mind but later got discarded. I lived the remaining days in fear, anxiety and depression. . First list came out and immediately i got the news, my heart sunk into my stomach. I wasn't breathing. I tried to but it was a futile effort. I went out to the wild and the fresh air calmed my bursting mind a little. I brought out my Asha 201 and in my bowser, i typed JAMB url. The portal opened with swiftness as I gulped down with so much hardness. I head over to CHECK ADMISSION STATUS and input my reg.no at the empty box. . Swiftly like before, it opened and right before my eyes, i saw my doom. 'You have not been offered admission yet...' I wanted to cry.. No! Tears were rolling down already and i looked up, seeing a blurred future before me. I never thought that guys could cry but silently, i was crying alongside with my heart. I looked at my phone again and Holy Mary! I had mistakenly clicked on the wrong year. . I started the while process again as my heart beat so hard against my chest. The website was now slow and watching the bar load was the worst torment of all. Something that was about to change the future was just minutes away, perhaps seconds and my mind was at war on what to anticipate. I input my reg.no again and clicked the CHECK button. . The website began to break, the E network sign started going off and on making the whole process more hectic. Some invisible forces are no doubt at work. I began to pray in my heart, i started begging, oooh God, just do this for me. Another interface popped up on my screen and my heart skipped with a leap capable of killing a man. I wanted to scroll down and view the information, but my fingers and knees were weak. With the last strength within, i fought and right before my eyes was an admission letter. . "Dear Henry Ibeleme, you have been offered admission into Michael Okpara University Of Agriculture to study..." . I didn't know whether to cry, scream or jump. My pulse was increasing in beat and before i knew it, i have let out a powerful shout that shook the world. Am now an undergraduate and so will YOU. JUST BELIEVE. . BY, HENRY IBELEME . Www.howinspiratick. Op, I'm very happy for you and I cease this opportunity to wish you all the best throughout your stay in the University! The same God that gave you admission, will surely make you graduate at the appointed time, He will provide all your needs for you! Please don't allow any negative thing to deviate you from your studies! Be very studious, hardworking, positive minded and above all be prayerful! Please don't keep bad company, Don't joke with your assignments, semesters' examinations! By God's special grace, in the next few years, you shall share your graduation testimony on Nairaland! Op, I celebrate you!!! |

Politics › Re: Buhari ORDERS 'co-president', Mammam Daura, Out Of Aso Rock by tukdi: 6:55am On Sep 15, 2016 |
jstmee: President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly ordered Malam Mammam Daura who is regarded as the most powerful, influential and de facto President from the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, reports. 247Urepo
According to sources within the presidency indicates that all might not be well within the ruling party – the All Progressive Congress [APC] and the administrative structure within the president’s kitchen cabinet.
Daura is described as probably the only man with the keys to the villa when the entire nation has retired to bed. He is the president Nigerians didn’t vote for. The one who calls the shots in Nigeria’s presidential palace. He is Buhari’s uncle and confidant Mamman Daura. Our source reported that a reliable source had revealed that the President had ordered his man-Friday and closest ally within the presidency, Mammam Daura to return to his home at Kaduna and leave out of the Presidential villa. The news of the President’s instruction to his nephew to move out of the presidential residence comes amidst fast growing unease within the polity over the fast worsening economic conditions in the country. The fast depreciating economic conditions and the growing hardship within the populace and masses is suspected to have led the President to rise to necessary adjustments within his internal circle. But the real reasons remain uncertain.
To many within earshot of the President, the fast depreciating conditions is said to have been masked away from the President by the few close associates around the President – the likes of Mamman Daura, Abba Kyari, Ahmed Jona and others.

Politics › Re: ‘A Bad APC Governor Is Better Than A PDP Governor’ by tukdi: 10:10am On Sep 05, 2016 |
Opeomoope: Former Governor of Gombe State, Senator
Danjuma Goje has said it was better to have
a bad All Progressives Congress (APC)
government in the state than to allow the
misrule of the current Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP).
He said the crisis in the state chapter of the
party has robbed it of a number of benefits
from the federal government.
Reacting to the inauguration of a Caretaker
Committee for the state chapter of the party
by the national leadership, Goje who is the
Chairman, Senate Committee on
Appropriation said it was important for the
party to remain united and work as one
family.
“The leadership of the party has decided to
do a good job by bringing people from our
neighboring state, and I want to ask the
leadership in your presence to be neutral, to
be objective, to be committed in trying to
unite this party, because I am sure whether
you belong to any other group, it is better
that we have a bad APC Governor than not
to have any governor at all.
“No matter how bad that governor is, if it is
APC (member) it is better, because since it is
PDP now… none of our members, no APC
man has been giving appointment even as a
counselor. So you see, it is very important
that we unite, we unite and put our
differences behind us and move forward to
ensure that we form the next government in
Gombe State,” Goje said.m
While commending the National Leadership
for the prompt intervention, Goje assured
the Caretaker Officers that members of the
APC in Gombe State, regardless of their
political differences will give maximum
support and loyalty to the newly
inaugurated leadership in the state.
He said: “We members of the APC in Gombe
State are very grateful and loyal to the
National leadership of our party. We want to
thank you very much for your intervention
to save the party and make it relevant in
Gombe State and Nigeria.
“I want to, on behalf of all of us in APC in
Gombe State regardless of the past events,
assure you that we will give maximum
support to the newly inaugurated
leadership in the state. I to call on all other
members of the APC in Gombe State to come
and join us and unite to support leadership
to make APC strong in Gombe State.” Sauce! |
