Literature / Re: NYSC: National Year Of Sex And Comfort <<<Adventure of the year: 2013 Awards >>> by tundetoday: 10:59pm On Mar 04, 2013
(mazi hi,
I Ve been a nairaland regular for months now but I have not commented on more than a couple of posts.

I want to say that your posts make an interesting read, especially as you are been pressured to churn out updates regularly.

I ll be brutally honest with u here for your own good.

You'd agree that you are an amateur writer and I'm certain that you write just for the fun of it,and ofcourse to relay your experience whether real or fictional or a mixture of both.

That's fine.like I said interesting and tremendously entertaining.

But please do not for a single second consider yourself to be a serious writer.I'm a afraid you are not even close.

You have got serious potentials, and I must say passion.but if you really intend to be a serious writer you must take writing courses.

You need to work on your plot development, characterization, your writing technique and your delivery needs to be fine tuned.

Some may ask why I am saying ask these.#no hating#
The reason is that I do not want you to be carried away by the praises of your fans and make the mistake of thinking that you can put out a serious work out there that would be read by serious writers and literary critics.

In the form that you are presently in, your ego might be crushed by their criticism and you may lose confidence in yourself and your abilities.

You can do better.

Just saying.Regards every one)

Ogbeni bonjovi abi wetin u call yourself, you can't even write a single page with the right spellings or punctuation marks. Just in case ur head big like Federick Forsight own, don't think for a second that you criticised this gentleman intelligently. You are a typical Ota-aje.

If u know say you read all the sixty-something pages and you still wrote that observation,I would believe you wrote that because u no just get this kind talent. We know the errors in the write-up and even the author is not unaware of it too.

The author said this is his second ever work and the improvements are there to see,can u ever write something that can generate this kind of followership in ur lifetime? Ota-aje jati-jati.

Politics / Re: PDP vs APC - 2015 Projection Model by tundetoday: 8:55am On Feb 08, 2013
For once,I think the political arrogance hitherto displayed the north is absent. They have gotten to grips that they are now in the opposition. What baffles me is the SE obstinacy towards GEJ. Don't get me wrong but that was what we used to attribute to the northerners. By and large,I think the Insult of this GEJ government has made us more mature/tolerant. My only hope is that Naija should not blow up in our faces. We should be seen to be making progress not getting used to unimaginable mediocrity.

I hope Ameachi features in this APC equation. With that, there's greater hope.
Politics / Re: PDP vs APC - 2015 Projection Model by tundetoday: 8:45am On Feb 08, 2013
There is still a long way ahead. Its obvious now that there's greater need for sacrifice from all parties involved. Rotimi Amaechi is still there, don't forget. Even if APC doesn't win the presidency, there will still be a lot of positives afterwards. More members of the assemblies and gorvenors etc.

GEJ/PDP is gradually losing the battle. Except they miraculously field another candidate, now is the greatest opportunity for the opposition to get to power. So generally, this alliance is in the right direction and should be supported by progressives.
Politics / Re: PDP vs APC - 2015 Projection Model by tundetoday: 9:25pm On Feb 07, 2013
I think we the youth should be smarter now. We know that identifying or analysing the unsuitability of these strange bedfellows won't get us anywhere. They simply don't represent us. We know that already. But before we can talk about cleaning the polity,we gat to wrestle to get power first. And APC represents the shortest cut. Like it or not the analysis by the poster seems real. Should APC field a "credible" combination at the centre, the battle ground will be in the southeast and southsouth.

Provided PDP still fields the obviously incompetent GEJ,there's a chance. A chance we must sieze with both hands and at all costs.

Music/Radio / Re: Who Would You Say Has The Best Voice Ever? by tundetoday: 7:54pm On Feb 02, 2013
Enya too. Now she reminds of Chloe,Ender thomas and all those beautiful vocalists Yanni works with.

Chloe is from another planet though. She rocks always.
Music/Radio / Who Would You Say Has The Best Voice Ever? by tundetoday: 7:29pm On Feb 02, 2013
We've always had them,tv/radio/show presenters, vocalists, musicians, orators, politicians, singers etc. Which voice has struck you the most that you just can't stop listening to?

For me,there's Tunde of lighthouse family. Tracy chapman and our very own Tiwa are both up there too.

I would like to hear your views, who has that special voice you can't stop listening too.
Politics / Re: The Politics Of Cement Pricing May Prevent Many Nigerians From Building A House by tundetoday: 4:54pm On Feb 01, 2013
Nice article. Unfortunately, national expectation from its gorvernment has nose-dived into this ugly low. Jonathan is the worst thing that has happened since Jan 1966.
I thought there is something called federal Mortgage Bank,FHA etc. Last time I checked, the highest they loan out is 5m. Of course, you and I don't have access to these funds. Who is my father? Yet,there's budget yearly for providing housing. If these were built truely,Dangote wouldn't be crying fowl.

These days, monies are hurriedly released in Nov for 'projects' only so they can be stolen before March 31. In Dec,I heard some 700m were realeased for the contract of supplying grinding machines within Napep.

May we (not) live in interresting times.

Ishi, you made me stay up all nite reading from page one, Only kane and Abel,General's daugther,Prison Break and homeland has previously achieve this feat. Frankly, 'your head dey there'. If you know Nelson Demille,I think you are an upgraded version of him and whenever you are ready to write that book, you've got people who are ready to buy.

I respect ur patience and the fact that you think you are not yet matured to publish. For me,you are 'ripe'(I hope you don't mind my usage of that word) enough. You've got the plots, the suspence, that charm too and of course ,the talent. I'll advice that you begin your book immediately before family live consume your nearest future and deprive us of a classic book.

No vex ooo, can't wait to read your book. Can some magic happen for it to be out before "Homeland" season three?
