SCR wasn't compulsory in 2015 but Mandatory in 2019. The amendment has ensured that If not, states would have been declaring fathom votes using incidence forms. Many people still don't get it. If SCR is not mandatory, the entire election is standing on a faulty grounds.

The information on the servers will greatly reduce the task of proving where the manipulations took place. It will be straightforward from PU,Ward,LG,zone,state or federal.

@garfield the Atiku team knows exactly how best to sustain their petition. The focus is on INEC to grant Access to its materials especially the servers and card reader. With that achieved, then expect speedy progress and precision.

As of the timing of the signing my memory ain't very clear I will update myself. And point of correction the supreme court didn't dismiss the card reader rather it only maintained that the voter register and manual Accreditation remains valid by our laws and until the SCR becomes compulsory by law as the only means of accreditation, those done by incidence forms are valid. It then uphold the election of Wike.

Most Commentators on this usually don't get the full grasp of that judgment that is why a detail Atiku is now a thorn in the flesh of INEC/apc.

Why was the Accreditation by Card Reader mandatory? Answer: cos the 7th assembly actually amended the electoral act and was signed by GEJ.

This INEC is just playing weak to allow for unnecessary interference. A Jega would have gone fully e-transmission by now, cos that doesn't need legislation for a Commission that is bent on doing what Is right. The existing electoral act is already open to card reader and e-collation especially e-transmission.

Because Nigerians like to be forced, everything must be spelt out by law. So annoying.

Inec has not been boxed anywhere.am not really against any inspection. pdp claimed that they want to inspect a server and inec can claim that they dont have a server but a database or repository where accreditation details and some electronic results were sent thereby invalidating the claim of pdp.

In summary,inspection of inec server or database will not change anything.the manual result superceds any other result and is the one the courts will refer to not any electronic result that is neither legal but not unlawful.

Election petition is self generating unlike criminal trials. Anything found to be relevant in arriving at a just verdict will be entertained.

Let the server or whatever name you chose to call it be inspected. After all, the inspection will equally reveal the card reader accreditation which many fail to understand, it is focal to the petition.

Should the server reveal 38m voters accreditation then the manual/paper return of inec is then clearly manipulated.

Let the inspection be done. Who knows it might end the entire atiku/pdp petition if it turns out to be conclusively fake. INEC should as a matter of duty allow for the inspection.

INEC is seriously boxed into a quagmire. It is not by how loud they shout or the crowding they are doing with Hirelings, the matter will be dealt with at the trial.

Then inec willfully denied having server to the Tribunal but, after seeing the barage of evidence that the servers don't only exist but we're actively used. They now reluctantly want to change their response from not having server to 'not using it for the presidential Election' having admitted that they test ran it during off Season elections in 2018.

All these back and forth will be cleared on inspection of the server at the trial proper. Budgets were made, approved by NASS and signed by the president. Monies were released and conclusively procurement,upgrade,training and deployment of Ratech officers for election duties one of which was e-transmission were done.

The witnesses are drawn from the numerous participants in these processes with evidence.

INEC has been boxed into a quagmire and it appears they know something they ain't telling us.

They are demanding for all the card reader, the server and whatever there are. Inec just have to come clean cos upto this moment they have been flip-flopping. That alone says Something is fishy.
Assuming they didn't use e-transmission then the inspection which will be done jointly will show nothing.

However, the evidence and witnesses on ground more than prove they did e-transmission which is why they are fighting tooth and nail to stop the inspection.

There has never been this much quake on election petition and it shows our democracy is advancing.

Elections are mainly rigged at collation points. The introduction of e-transmission is to provide an audit trail of the result that will be brought in by the returning officers. If you have already transmitted real time the result, any manipulation becomes glaring and traceable.

This is what #teamAtiku is driving at. The server exist at least INEC has acknowledged that, the contention is Whether they banked the results there. That can only be proven by witnesses who participated in the collation processes. INEC ICT folks and ultimately and conclusively via server inspection.

This sever issue was already calculated as a fail safe should Atiku loose the election. Remember while results where still coming in from across the country, the guy already had his own results waiting for him on the sever. Not even taking into account technical issues that might even prevent uploading of results as some INEC officials said they did. They planned this even before the election..In January, The INEC chairman even said the commission was not going to transmit election results electronically to more or collation of results electronically, due to lack of enabling laws. But since their plan was already in the works, it was hard to pull the plug.

Of course the server gives real time result nau. Between you that goes to the bank for deposit and he who does same on e-banking who gets alert first?

The legal team and the petitioners know more than you. They have chosen the best approach to building/sustaining their petition.
