PoliticsRe: Appeal Court Affirms Fayemi’s Election, Dismisses Eleka, Pdp’s Appeal by tuniski: 11:34pm On Mar 28, 2019
seunmsg:
The stupid ipob judge that gave the majority judgement didn’t even attend the court session where APC called her witnesses in the case. He however, rejected the testimonies of the witnesses and ruled against APC without following already established legal precedents and electoral act. That judgement can never stand.
You will be alright las las.

Appeal court will affirm the tribunal judgement of osun state governorship election.
That is the most important one. Fayose over reach in ekiti and the salary issue worked against him. Fayemi/apc were successful with their 'see and buy' vote buying strategy.

Congratz apc however Osun and kano must be reclaimed.

No wahala just so you may know not only southerners are against buhari.
PoliticsRe: Disquiet In PDP As Jonathan Loses Senatorial District To Sylva, APC by tuniski: 11:31am On Mar 28, 2019
Bighead9:
Wrong.
You have never been to the North. Presently, massive Road construction is going on in the North. The quarlity of projects by Buhari is world class standard.

A case study of the ongoing reconstruction of Kaduna- Abuja express way. The thickness of the Alshalt is 5 times ticker than the one used to construct in South. The North quitely enjoys the dividends of Democracy they enjoy under Buhari's Administration.
I am a northerner and a resident of Abuja but, currently in zaria.

Buhari has done nothing for his people the conservative north. My family are 99% supporters of apc for different Reasons.

Me, I can never support apc a Socialist leaning party.
PoliticsRe: 40,998 Voters To Decide Adamawa Next Governor Today by tuniski: 11:27am On Mar 28, 2019
tesppidd:
My point exactly.

Nobody can sit in their living room and be so sure that the Kano election will be upturned on account of the events they saw on social media.

It could go either way.

But I could see PDP fans already swearing that it would be upturned.
That is exactly how pdp should talk. Once you identify someone as partisan then have no problem with finality of submission. That Is absolutely In order.
PoliticsRe: 40,998 Voters To Decide Adamawa Next Governor Today by tuniski: 10:21am On Mar 28, 2019
tesppidd:
Don't lie, you said

grin

Tribunal isn't nullifying anything.

The courts do not work with what was written in the internet or what they saw on tv.

They work with technicalities and what is presented before them.

There are certain elections I have seen In this country.

What happened in Kano was kids' stuff compared to the 2007 Presidential election and the Rivers 2015 governorship.
Yet they were not nullified.

Anyway dream On!
Different situations. Elections were reverted in anambra, osun, ekiti, ondo, edo so kini big deal?

I understand your concern about buhari's perceived weakness, which some say his slowness to react, his frugality with finance and his Poor Public Relations. However his first term gave me assurance on his commitment to leadership. He allows who ever is delegated for a job a free hand to experiment with their governance creativity, Fashola offgrid initiative, Ameachi's rail nexim bank financing, kemi adeosuns whistleblowers policy, nuetrality as regard INECs boss performance, Burutai's acquisition of quids bike and other multi Tehran vehicles, Emefiele's wonderful economic diversification through fiscal and monetary policy just to mention a few instance

As for Lawan if you've heard him speak at a public function and followed his activities and his party loyalty since ANPP days you may understand why APC leadership wants him
You see yourself, emefiele has nothing to do with fiscal policy except for abnormality.

Lawan is a yes-man and the senate don't need a yes-man to anchor its independence.

Buhari didn't perform but won anyhow and anyway. He can't give what he doesn't have.

Lies, the people of Kastina will always believe in Buhari, 20 years after now. Buhari did well for his people, Jonathan on the other hand looted this Country dry. He neglect the plight of his people. He deserves every this treatment.
Buhari has done nothing for his people. The conservative north just love buhari for his ethno-religious centrism.
PoliticsRe: Tribunal Orders Service Of Atiku’s Petition On Buhari by tuniski: 8:29am On Mar 28, 2019
ChristianNorth:
Tribunal has 6 months to determine their cases and but the case can still pass through Appeal and Supreme courts.

What you call law is what Supreme Court pronounced it to be. If you are remotely connected to legal practice, then you would have known this.

Like I used to say, Wole is a technical genius in electoral laws. If Wole wants to stretch this case he would do it.

This will set a new precedent that will override the section of the electoral act that places statue limit of the duration of electoral petitions.

For instance, Section 6 of the constitution clearly said a Governor needs to win 25% in 2/3 of the LGA to be duly returned. You don't need a lawyer to understand this.

Ihedioha of Imo failed to meet this requirement, if the Tribunal upholds his election, that section becomes null and void unless the Appeal Court set it aside.

If the Supreme court upholds the judgment, that section will become a mere academic exercise.

Section 52 of the electoral act 2015 legalizes the use of card readers, but in 2015, Supreme Court set aside that section of the law.

So law is not what you see Buhari assent on tv, but what the supreme court will interpret them to be.

There are legal provisions Wole can rely to drag this case if he wants.

So don't rush into argument you don't understand please.

Maybe Ratello, can explain more to you.
The section was not in force before the general election of 2015, that was why it had no bearing on the decision of the supreme Court.
PoliticsRe: Tribunal Orders Service Of Atiku’s Petition On Buhari by tuniski: 8:20am On Mar 28, 2019
Indispensable85:
This is why I said you know nothing. By the New amendment to the electoral laws, all matters before the election tribunal must be thrashed within 180 days. So no lawyer can drag any election petition case to over 2yrs like you've been busy erroneously explaining to your fellow neophytes.
300days For Governorship and 240days for presidential . By the way, card reader is now constitutional.

Don't be a persimist, a working Nigeria with a performing Buhari benefits us equally both APC and PDP alike.... and even with wonderful performance of obama's democrat , he was succeeded by trump the republican, So PDP shouldnt wish us underperfomance.
Performance is not a wish! What are the indicators of performance present in buhari as a person and apc as a government?

The lawan apc endorsed has been in NASS in all the rots since 1999. So what new verve will he bring other than licking the boot of buhari, what?
