Stop comparing Nigeria with Canada. Compare Canada to other first world countries like Australia, UK, etc. compare Nigeria to India, other African countries, third-world countries too.

It’s like comparing sleep with death… undecided
So you're dead for being a black Nigerian on Canada? Is the racism that bad?

I am into tech, cloud computing.

If I wanted to practice, I wouldn’t have come to Canada at all. If I still decide to practice tomorrow, I’ll move to the US. My point is we should understand what works in these countries before moving. Canada has a population of less than 50m, they have fewer med schools, fewer residency spots, fewer spots for international consultants, the licensing exam is more rigorous compared to US and UK. If you do your research and you know this, you won’t come here and be frustrated. I also mentioned someone that did cab for three years, got his citizenship and today he is a Canadian expatriate in Australia. He was born a Nigerian! It still boils down to the fact that most people just want to leave Nigeria and they don’t plan. It’s good he is happy in Nigeria. Sometimes we make mistakes and retrace our steps.
Good one my guy. I'm a medical practitioner just like you. I'm happy you're enjoying what you're doing over there. Keep up the good work and enjoy your stay in Canada. A cousin of mine and his wife (both doctors) are also in Canada doing their best.

I am a medical practitioner. I chose Canada because I didn’t intend to practice. I always tell my colleagues, if you are big on practicing consider the UK or the US if you have money to spend. Some of them still chose Canada believing they’ll successfully get into the system. Good, I hope they do. People succeed but it requires a lot of hard work. Truth is Canada has always been like this when it comes to their medical profession, so I expect everyone to know what they are getting into before coming here.

People get frustrated and you think it’s because he came to Canada? I know doctors who came to Canada, couldn’t practice, they got their Canadian citizenships and then wrote the licensing exams in Australia and some went to Middle East countries and they are being paid in those countries as Canadian professionals. Earning a lot more than what they would have earned if they had gone to those countries with their Nigerian passport. I even know some that went to the USA to get licensed and then moved back to Canada after years of practicing. Last last, every man is running their own race. We’ll all do what works for us.

Like eut1 said, the Canadian passport opens limitless number of opportunities. People should do their research and plan properly.

So which kind of work do you currently do in Canada with all sincerity.

Well the man had some children and was not able to meet up with bills. I'm sure you're not a consultant. Probably an MO because if you were, you won't let go what you've achieved all these times. But like you wrote, you didn't intend to practice medicine from the start and that is fair enough from your side but the man that came back doesn't want to joke with his practice as everything in life is based on choice. He's enjoying his life, happier and making money too, is that not the objective of all these? What else is he then looking for again

You want to stay in Toronto and build wealth? Funny. People are building wealth in other provinces/cities but everybody wants to live in Ontario.

People don’t do their research before they travel. You want to quickly practice medicine outside Nigeria and you are choosing Canada? Canada has its process for internationally trained medical practitioners, they’ll not change it because of you. If you want an easy route to practicing, then go to the UK. Mind you, there are some Nigerians practicing here despite the fact that getting licensed is a big deal.
Lol, the man didn't say he wanted the rules to be changed for him. Not in any way at all. You're just the one suggesting that

They do.

My cousin lost her virginity on a hospital bed because the doctor inserted his finger and instruments inside there for "virginity test"
She came back and her panties were stained with blood.
I'm telling you the standard practice.
Why exactly was your cousin examined?
Did she inform the doctor that she was a virgin?
Was the doctor a truly certified doctor?

If you want to enjoy life — go to Singapore. Too much enjoyment, no crime, and normal Naija weather. Though, it's an extremely expensive country, but it's worth it.

When are you coming back home to Nigeria You wont lol. Although the op na my friend i will tackle her.
1. There are people building wealth in cheaper provinces like Alberta or New Brunswick where houses go for 300k to 400k. In Ontario its like 900k to 1.5m for the average house and you suppose drop 5% deposit for mortgage. Married people or common law guys are able to build wealth too due to combined . Solution is move to a cheaper province, get married or find a partner
2 . Cost of living- where in the world is not costly. With all the amenities, free resources, and standard of living why should it be cheap
3 . Boredom and loneliness- Nigerians move to a cold country and refuse to do what whites do in the winter. Whose fault is that Many ladies from Nigeria have unrealistic expectations and are single to stupor. Whose fault is that Lol
4 cold. Get a good winter jacket or knacks partner. Nothing dey there
5. Professional jobs- doctors know this before coming and should have explored uk. A friend passed the medical exams in 18months its doable. Yes there are issues with Canada experience but with constant applications and upgrading ones skills. You will be able to get in. You and i both know many people with only Nigerians experience or degrees balling in big countries.

Oya come back home o
Hahahahahaha. Suffering and smiling. Kikikiki grin grin grin good the author stays in Canada grin cheesy

But they will never tell you . Making it look like Canada is heaven lol.
That's Nigerians for you
I know a consultant Hematologist (medical doctor) who couldn't cope with the cost of living in Canada, infact he couldn't practice his profession and he became frustrated. He left but his wife refused leaving, so they divorced. The man remarried after he came back to Nigeria and he's really doing so great and happy.

Once a gynaecologist inserts his finger or instrument inside there for the so-called "virginity test" sorry but she's no longer a virgin.

And not all women have hymen, shey you know
No gynecologist inserts instrument for a virgin girl into her vagina. If for any reason like she has menorrhagia the patient is examined from the anus into the rectum. Lots of misinformation on this thread. Tueh for Nigerians

Lol. Gynecologists? They have zilch to do with virginity.

Like there's no medically proven way to identify a lady who's not a virgin.

Don't talk about the hymen...it falls on its own too.

You wanna talk about tightness and blood spillage during the act? Ask around, there are drugs available to tighten a woman's passage and do the magic.
Lol, there is medical proof to virginity. Reason it is assessed if a minor was raped
Don't mislead the public. Besides that not the subject matter, you just want to divert attention in the subject matter bc you probably have an olosho as a girlfriend or wife shocked grin grin cheesy

Good afternoon everyone and how are you enjoying the weekend? I am a lady of 29 and I'm in a relationship with this guy. Our relationship is 7 months and I've done everything possible for the relationship to work out but it's like this guy isn't ready.
One of his attitudes is the art of communication. The relationship is a distance one but in the same state. He won't call or chat me and wen I call, he won't pick and neither does he call back. Though I the same age as him and I tot we could work things out but he doesn't appreciate all my efforts.
The only time he calls is whenever he needs sex and I sometimes regret succumbing to sex in the first place because I wanted to be abstain. He can stay for 2 weeks without communication and his excuse is that he is busy at work whereas I am also working but find time to make the communication flow but he is not ready for any changes.
This guy is also stingy and that is not my major concern because I also work and earn my money without depending on any man.

Pls advise me as you would advise a friend or sister because I am fed up and don't want to waste my precious time dating myself, thanks
You don't have problem with his stinginess but you mentioned it. There is nothing wrong with you not liking his stinginess

Meanwhile, we Deltans go so block head bridge to stop Ibo's from relocation to delta state.
But Asaba is igbo land naw. Even Urohbo people de call them delta igbo
