Younglami: Graduated 2015 a 5 years degree (Transport Management) at LAUTECH, worked as a procurement specialist from dec 2017- dec 2024. I went for my masters(logistics and supply chain management) from sept 2021- sept 2022. I want to assess for information and organising professions NEC 2249999. In a situation where vetassess sees my undergraduate as not highly relevant, will they only count my experience post masters? I want to submit the following documents: Payslips Reference letter Bsc transcripts Bsc Certificate Msc transcripts Msc Certificate Cover letter justifying my reason for choosing information and organising profession 2249999
Am i good to go and will i get over 3 years of work experience? Please I would appreciate advise on how best to go about this If your initial qualification is not considered as relevant, they will deduct 2 years from your years of experience not from the masters date |

dongc: Please where is it possible to find information about states/ regions that accept separate EOI / ROI and not combined....or maybe which states/regions allow combined EOIs and which does not.I know this information can be found on each regions website just wondering if this information maybe available somewhere... Thank you.... You can only know that when the states open for nomination and they release their nomination requirements for the year. This changes every year. So your best bet is to monitor the state migration websites and sign up for their newsletter too. |

Good evening seniors
Please I am 35yrs, Married with family of 4, B.Sc industrial Mathematics Professional Diploma in Education PDE, TRCN Certificate, 4years experience as a secondary school teacher in public school, Master Diploma in human resources management (online program from Skill Development Council Canada)
Please am I eligible for 491? Can a married person applied for the stream? I don't have relative in Australia, do I need to have a relative to apply?
I have evaluated my B.Sc for ECA but for Canada, can I use it? Yes you are eligible for 189, 190 and 491 depending on your points. Yes, a married person can apply for any of the 3 visas above. You dont need a family in Australia to apply for 491 (Skilled regional visa stream). You only need a family member to appyl for the Family-Sponsored visa. ECA does not have anything to do with Australia. You will need to assess with AITSL. Did you do your teaching practice in a secondary school for at least 45 days? |

Thayoreey: Hey everyone! I'm new here and looking to kick off my immigration process with Engineers Australia. I'm 26, graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABUAD. Right now I work in tech, but I have almost 2 years of experience working in a power plant.
I’m a bit confused here: Can I use any of the Accords for assessment? I understand that coren is not a full signatory to the Washington accord, and can anyone clarify me about the Competency Demonstration Report (CDR), What it's about and who is eligible for it?
Would appreciate any help—thanks! You can only do CDR since you graduated from a Nigerian university. Please read the CDR page on EA website. |

GrayHunta: Hello everyone,
I’ve been following this page anonymously for some time and just decided to join to share my challenge.
Please Read
-I graduated with an HND in Civil Engineering in 2017. -Worked as a civil engineer for one year and 6 months, no pay slip, and tax, only bank statement. -Switched career and started working as a Cyber Security analyst officially in October 2021. Pay slips, bank statement, and proof of tax payment are all available. -In April 2024, I got a BSc in Computer Science from a University in Benin Republic to complement my new career. -I also went back to complete my top-up program, which I abandoned due to my career switch, and got my BSc in Building Technology in February 2025.
My degree program in Benin Republic was a three-year university program, and my present work experience, where I can provide payslips and bank statements proving my employment, is a total of 3 years & 10 months as I write.
Key Questions ⦁ Can my BSc in computer science be assessed as AQF comparable? ⦁ If yes, will my years of experience start counting after April 2024, when I acquired the degree? ⦁ Can my HND be useful in this instance? ⦁ Also, I have a cybersecurity vendor certification that is accepted by ACS, would that have any effect (positive) in my assessment?
Additional Information • Age: 30 • Marital Status: Single • Current Role: L3 - Cyber Security Analyst
I’d appreciate advice from experienced professionals who have navigated similar challenges. Any guidance would be invaluable. First of, Computer Science is not the 'it' occupation anymore. You need a high score to get a nomination. In your case, a 3 year degree from Benin Republic will not be equivalent to an AQF 7 which means you need to have at least 6 years experience to get a positive assessment because a qualification in Computer science is not closely related to Cyber security. You may want to consider getting employment in building related occupation. |

shekinahola: @tunlex01 Thanks for doing a great job attending to other people's issues. May God reward you beyond your imaginations.
I will like to know our best option for Australia skilled immigration:
Me: Academics: HND in electrical engineering, MBA in international business IELTS: No Work Experience: I have only been into business of agricultural machinery equipment, diesel engines and their spare parts for generators. I have the company registered. I have never worked as a salary earner. I have some data analysis/science skills but never worked professionally with the skill.
My Spouse: Academics: BSC, MSc and Phd in View all in animal science/physiology IELTS: General: 7.5 Academics: 8.0 Work Experience: She has not really worked in her field as a salary earner but had managed a small poultry farm and had done N-Power farm programme but payslip is not available. She is a registered member of animal science association of Nigeria. She has a registered business name for her farm and we have been running the account for over a year.
Here are my questions: 1. Can we use academic IELTS? 2. How do we approach skill assessment? 3. Who has the better chance of being assessed positively?
Thanks for your response Your first option is to find occupation(s) you can nominate. Guide to check your occupation and ANZSCO code: From a laptop/desktop Visit https://www.anzscosearch.com/search/You may need to register on the website to view the details below Desktop: 1. DevSecOps: Hi boss, I’m back again.
So, I started a Master’s program at a renowned Nigerian university in 2021, which I had to pause due to travel. I was originally expected to graduate in 2022. I’ve since discussed with the school, and I’m currently back on the program. I’m on track to complete it in 2026.
Also, my wife and I have agreed that she will complete her BSc in Public Health in Nigeria (she had earlier transferred to pursue Nursing here). She’s also expected to finish in 2026.
We’ve both written the IELTS exam. By the time we complete our studies in 2026, I’ll be 30 years old, and she’ll be 23.
By then, I’ll also have completed 2 years of verifiable work experience.
Our updated profiles by 2026:
My Profile: • MSc in Computer Science • 2 years of verifiable work experience as a DevOps Engineer • IELTS score: 8.5 across all four bands • Age: 30 (in 2026)
My Wife’s Profile: • BSc in Public Health • IELTS score: 7.0 across all four bands • Age: 23 (in 2026) • No work experience
Question: With this profile by 2026, what are our chances for immigration? ahhh...am I supposed to know na? Currently IT is competitive and if you are not hitting 85-100 points for 491, the chances are slim. |

Any idea on how long it takes IML to assess?
For 22311, that will be barely 2 years and it may not be sufficient.
Thank you. yes, 80 iin your favour. The other 20 is if they don't recognise the person reporting to you as a manager or high enough to manage people, then it may be a negative assessment. Check IML website for timelines. IML too will likely grant 2 years as well |
