ChinemeremFidel: Hi.. I plan on moving to Australia by next year and preparation has started in earnest
What route do you think I can use to go.. I am 21 years old, with an ND Cert which I would substitute for even certificate lower than that if necessary,I don't want to further here in Nigeria.. I am a professional video editor, cybersecurity analyst (Cloud Sec) in training tho, I play the piano professionally as well, I am a graphic designer and have little idea on web design, have a little knowledge on AI analysis, I know little about Sound Engineering as well... I can go on and on with my skills so please what other route can I go through if not student route? Any help please 🙏 All the occupations you mentioned here require a bachelors degree to be able to assess successfully. ND will not get you across with any of these occupations, not even HND |

Olinga: Hello house please I am in a dilemma
So I am in the pool and just thinking, I’m currently in a long distance relationship with a man and we intend getting married after I finalize my divorce from previous marriage ending of next year, my question is can I include this my current partner as a defacto relationship. If yes would pictures together and chat history be enough to proof our relationship?
Or is it better to file for him after I get PR, tho im scared of the long time it would take to process heard it takes up to 4 years. Please help. Thank you Claiming de-facto when you are not living together is likely not going to be approved. Also chat history and pictures would not be enough. Anyone can put that together and claim they are in a relationship. you are better off claiming your current status and applying for partner visa later. Not every application takes 2-4 years. it's all depends on the application and how it's assigned. |

elvis07: The job I want to nominate is occupational health and safety adviser. I have B.Sc environmental science and M.Sc Environmental mgt. I am NEBOSH certified, OSHA certified and so many other professional certifications on HSE. I started work with OND and trained on the job before upgrading my academic qualification to the level I listed above. The OND is in computer science but I am in HSE field before furthering my education to align with the profession I am into. It won't fly for that occupation. OHSA is a group A occupation that requires a degree in Occupational Health. certifications like HSE or NEBOSH do not count in this case. Only qualification does. |

elvis07: Good evening all. I must appreciate the wonderful work done here by the poster and all other members here .
My question is this. I have an OND Electrical Electronic 2004 and I got employed with it in 2010 on the HSE career path and I have grown on the job over the years and still on the job till date. I have also a gotten B.Sc Environmental mgt and M.Sc Environmental mgt. Assuming I want to apply for any HSE related occupation in Australia, how is the best way to get assessed considering the fact that the qualification I used in starting my career is not of same field of occupation I intend to apply for now since HSE has been my specialty for years now. How do I get assessed with OND Elect Elect while applying for a HSE related occupation in Australia I cannot provide an answer to your enquiry directly until you find an occupation you want to assess. First of, you cannot even assess HSE if you dont have a degree in Occupational Health but spend some time to check the occupations you can nominate using this guide. Guide to check your occupation and ANZSCO code: From a laptop/desktop Visit www.anzscosearch.comYou may need to register on the website to view the details below Desktop: 1. Select ‘Lists’ at the top of the webpage. 2. Click 'Skilled Occupation List' 3. You will see about 500 occupations on the list. 4. Keep scrolling till you find occupation(s) that align to what you do. 5. Click the 6 digits ‘ANZSCO' code on the left. It will load the full page 6. Select 'ANZSCO' and scroll to tasks. 7. Check if the tasks relate to what you do. Mobile device Click the hamburger icon (3 horizontal lines) Select 'Lists' > 'Lists 2023-24' > Skilled Occupation List Follow steps 3-7 above. You may find more than 1 occupation. Revert here with the occupation(s) and the Anzsco code(s) |

Devasia: Please what is a level 2 occupation? Anzsco: 234514.
And please what do you suggest I do Sadly, it won't work. 234514 is a level 1 occupation which requires a bachelors degree. your qualification is equivalent to an Associate degree in Australia which is lower than bachelors degree. your result will return a negative assessment so look for another occupation that has a level 2 or below. |

Wisdommyth: Greetings,
Please I have a question. When doing my skill assessment with engineers Australia, I assessed only my degree without assessing my experience. This is because of the additional cost for also assessing experience and also because I only have barely three years of work experience. Please when lodging expression of interests, can I still include my experience even though they were not included and assessed when by Engineers Australia ? yes you can as long as you have documents for it. Also, if it's up to 3 years, you will need to still do the assessment as DHA will send you back to get an assessment with them. |

I will suggest you add a letter of explanation with details of the program while stating that it was a top-up program because you already have a 4 year diploma and advanced diploma combined in Accounting. You will need to provide transcript and certificate for each of them though and you can add your ACA transcript, certificate and letter of good standing |

SirFamous11: What of FUTO that is the same with FUTA. Please always specify your knowledge limit and don't act as if you know it all FUTA and FUTO are not the same according to Australia's Qualification Framework. FUTA is a tier 1 university FUTO is a tier 2 uni, although the courses in FUTO are 5 years which still gives you opportunity to assess a level 1 occupation but it does not change the tier rating of FUTO to tier 1. If I don't know something, I will gladly skip or use the word 'likely' or 'may' to indicate that I'm not too sure. So I don't understand your statement that I present myself as a 'know it all' |

JIREN01: Hi everyone, I have a question; I guess our bosses @salford, @megastu, @ednut, among others will be able to draw from their experiences and share helpful insights. So I was on a call with a friend who works as a Senior Business Analyst for a Big Pharma, and we were discussing about how attainable a salary threshold of 200kcad per annum is. I even whimsically chipped in the case of a family friend who works as a Director of Strategy for PWC and how I’m certain she earns way more than that. I was shocked when my statement was returned with a hysterical laughter and how that threshold is almost a pipe dream in Canada. Bottom line is he claimed people who earn that in Canada can be literally counted with your fingers and how he has never met anyone who earns that high in his 10-year career.
I’d like to ask if what he said is true; how attainable is the 200k salary threshold? All comments are welcome. Director in Strategy in PwC earns over $200k. That I'm sure of. Some Senior Managers in Strategy earn over $200k too. |
