Please I want to know, how many weeks or months does it take norma skills assessment by VETASSES to be out? It was submitted last week? 8-12 weeks for normal processing (it could be earlier if your occupation is not a busy one) 1-2 weeks for priority processing |

Check Hotel Manager information sheet on Vetassess website to see if you meet the requirement. If you are managing the entire hotel, and oyu have documents including organogram to prove it, you should be eligible but Vetassess will reduce your years of experience to 2 years due to not having a relevant qualification. |

132311 is to be assessed by IML while 223111 is to be assesses by VETASSESS.
132311 is available on 190 and 491 while 223111 is available on 491 only.
Thank you. For 132311, do you report directly to the CEO? How many teams report to you? How many managers report to you? How many team members report to you? Name the teams reporting to you. For 223111, your experience will only count post-masters qualification as a 4 year course from Unilorin is not considered a bachelors degree. |

Is the tax return going to be for the entire period of my work as stated for the EA assessment or just for some reasonable period maybe 6 months?
Thanks everyone For EA, yes. You can take the 3 years proposed by the tax authority but it must show you are an employee (not self employed). You can request to see what the certificate will look like. Where is your company location and which state do you live? Does your company deduct monthly tax payments? |

SanThiago: Hello Guys, New guy in here,
I plan to start the process of application soon and from what I've read here so far, Admission first then ViSA application.
I have a Masters already but plan to go through the masters route.
As expected, my major motivation is post study work Permit as with everyone here so I need advice on recent trends. Best schools that are a bit cheap and best courses to get jobs easily during or after study in the Aussie region.
I am considering both Australia and New Zealand and hope to make a decision this week after finishing all my research.
I am self funded and hope to get in in the very next academic sessions intake. I don't have all the money yet but should have a sizeable portion of it by July ending.
Pls OG's here. Help out with info. I am not looking for agents, but more of direction. I am still reading through this thread and the immigration website.
I have a first degree in Zoology, and MSC in parasitology. I will also consider PhD if there are chances of grant and PSWP. In my early 30's

Anfieldboss: Thank you boss for taking out time to explain to me.
If I should do a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) or MSc in Accounting, do you think I'll be able to assess for Internal Audit with VETASSESS. PGD will not fly. Msc in Accounting will fly however, all your previous experience will not count as you are deemed not to be eligible. Only your experience as an Internal auditor post masters will count. And in your case, you need at least 12 months post-masters experience to assess such occupation with Vetassess. That means 0 point in experience. That was the reason for the last statement in my previous response. |
Travel › Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 8:33pm On Apr 16, 2025 |
blackbriar: I belive you are overthinking it.
Please kindly reagrd the VETASSESS eligilibity requirement carefully.
A bachelor degree in Engineerign doesnt disqualifies you from the said assessment. VETASSES wants a bachelors degree. It could even be a bachelors degree in Latin or CRS studies.
Try to understand your objectives. You are trying to obtain a skilled visa that gives you unlimited working rights in Australia.
SO whether you decide to use high points of 95 for IT professionals or moderately low point of maybe 80 for Internal Auditor. The skilled visa grants you unlimited working rights in Australia.
So upon lawfully entering Australia, you can decide not to do neither IT nor Internal Auditor. You could decide to look for a job as a train driver or something else. Then your CV and work expereince will speak for you.
The main objective now is to acquire the skilled visa.
Just my humble 2 cents. It disqualifies him for Vetassess assessment. Internal Auditor is a group A occupation whihc means you must have a relevant qualification to the occupation you are assessing |

Anfieldboss: Hello everyone,
Please, I need the advice of experienced people here.
I am an Internal Auditor with over 8 years of work experience. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Chartered Accountant (ICAN Chartered). I am looking at migrating to Australia using the PR route. I am considering two options: Going through the Internal Auditor route (Assessing with VETASSESS) or going as a Cybersecurity Professional (Assessing with ACS as a Cybersecurity Governance professional). For the latter, I would need at least a certification in Cybersecurity (CISA), which I am already planning on writing the exams and getting the certification.
I was told by a friend who migrated to Australia via a Master's degree program, that the points for IT is very high, that I would need at least 95 points due to the competition in IT. He told me the competition for Internal Audit is not too high, but he doesn't think the profession is in high demand.
My concern with evaluating with VETASSESS is if my academic qualifications will be evaluated for Internal Audit since my degrees are in Engineering but I have solid experience in Internal Audit. And also if the profession is really in demand?
Please guys I need your advice. I actually would prefer going via the IT Audit path as that is my preferred career path and I am already working on getting the required certifications. But I am concerned with the high competition in IT. Your friend is right. Please note that IT occupations require a very high score. In your case, Cyberseucrity Governance is not yet on the Skilled Occupation List (only on CSOL for employer sponsored visa) which means if you assess for that, you will not be able to get 189, 190 or 491 until the occupation is added. Also, having CISA does not guarantee a positive assessment, you need to have experience as an IT auditor and a minimum of 6 years experience because ACS will deduct btween 4-6 to make up for not having a Bachelors/masters in Cybersecurity. Internal Auditor assessed by VETASSESS is mostly related to Financial IA and that requires a degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business as it's a Group A occupation. Even ICAN is not equivalent to a Bachelors. https://www.vetassess.com.au/check-my-occupation/professional-occupations/internal-auditorWith your current profile, you are better off looking towards other countries for now or explore the ACS. If you are married and your partner has an occupation in demand, then that may be another option |

For my employment verification, I only have bank statements showing the 1 year salary as well as the statement service, I’ve been hearing about tax and payslip.. I don’t have any of that, will just my bank statement suffice even if I don’t have tax or payslips for both vetassess and DHA ( considering it’s just 1 year experience and I won’t be claiming points on DHA ). Please your answer will help a lot in making a good decision that should be fine, however if DHA needs more info, they will send you an email |

Yes I have 70-80 points and yes I was a facility manager and I had people reporting to me. I’m only providing my 1 year experience as a facility manager for my application.
Please will vetassess call for an interview to verify?
Also please since I won’t be claiming points for employment under DHA, will DHA still do employment verification if I get to the point of applying for a Visa? Not really...Vetassess hardly interviews for Facilities Manager Very possible. Mine was done during my time and a few others after me even when we did not claim point. |

HOMOTOYOSI10: Good day Sir Tunlex. I did an English test again like you suggested previously, and I have a superior point now. I'm reaching out to ask questions regarding evidence of work experience, because I don't get payslips from my organisation, neither do I have a tax clearance. I already submitted my skills assessment documents, and I'm not sure how I can navigate this. The only proof I currently have is my bank statement. I'm thinking of filing the 4 years backlog of my tax by myself, but I don't know if that makes sense or if it will be valid. Plus I graduated from a four years course at the University of Ilorin, and I would like to know if it's considered a tier 1 or tier 2 institution. You can file for your tax directly and make sure it's tagged 'Employment' and not business on the tax clearance Unilorin is a tier 2 university and a 4 year course is considered an associate degree. Which occupation did you nominate? |

Joybena: Please I need help
I’m going for this occupation: facilities manager
I have exactly 1 year experience as a facility manager for a real estate company and a bachelor’s degree in estate management from a tier 2 university but it was a 5 year course.
My assessing company is vetassess and I’m going for the 190 migration visa
The minimum requirement for my occupation on vetassesss is 1 year work experience + atleast a diploma + qualification in related field
My biggest question, is the 1 year experience enough to give me a positive assessment for experience? As I’ve heard several times they deduct one year. Why do they do that when they say minimum requirement is 1 year? Or are they deducting it as their own requirement and if they do, won’t that leave me with zero experience giving me a negative assessment for experience? I’m completely confused about what the deduction means. Please help I plan to pay for my assessment soon 190 for a 1 year experience is a tall order but not impossible. You should also consider 491 except you have about 80-90 points. Please ensure you are a 'manager' with teams/people reporting to you and not just a facilities officer. Vetassess will deduct 1 year from the years of experience. |
