Jokes Etc / Re: Jonathan Grants Amnesty to Boko Haram by tutu1: 5:42pm On Apr 04, 2013
"What is obvious in the last few weeks is that the military is now TRUELY on top of the situation, considering the number of attacks that have been nipped in the bud. Even Yobe has been quiet for sometime now." are you drinking coco nut water, what rubbish military is on top of it, did they not blow up travellers some weeks ago, is that not recent enough, anyway amnesty is not a bad idea only if the ghost come out to negotiate,
Sincere 9gerian: Amnesty has always been on the table, just that the president said the time was not ripe for amnesty. If the northern leaders can convince boko haram leaders to come out from hiding and negotiate with govt, then amnesty may be offered on certain conditions. If amnesty will bring peace, why not?

What is obvious in the last few weeks is that the military is now TRUELY on top of the situation, considering the number of attacks that have been nipped in the bud. Even Yobe has been quiet for sometime now.

Nonetheless, the govt has NOT offered amnesty to boko haram at the moment. The battle is still raging at the moment. Amnesty MUST be preceded by an announcement of cease fire. That is yet to happen.

Sports / Re: Yobo Blasts Keshi Over Kenya Snub by tutu1: 2:13pm On Apr 02, 2013
Which dirty maturity, Keshi did it to Osaze, Eminke now Yobo, that man needs to be spoken to because, he will destroy all he has worked for with his own hands
misterh: It' s situations like this that breaks a team. He should have made his grievance known to Keshi, instead of coming public with it. He should have shown enough maturity on how to deal with issues like this. The team is still a work in progress and cohesion is needed now. I'm not trying to justify Keshi but what Yobo did is not the best. My opinion though!

See your dirty mouth like Nigerian citizens and they where youthful, is that how your family memebers look, abeg give me your address make I come pack ona join, straight to Niger
ndu_chucks:

This exercise is outrageous and a gross violation of the civil, human, and constitutional rights of Nigerian citizens. The authorities, in a knee jerk reaction, rounded up people including Nigerian citizens, suspected to be illegal immigrants, arrested and detained them simply because they were youthful and live in a particular part of their homeland. It is most unfortunate that the bigotry of many posters has blinded them from seeing how preposterous the action of the authorities are,

Politics / Re: List Of People Pardoned By Bill Clinton (Re: GEJ's Pardon Of Alamieyeseigha) by tutu1: 1:31pm On Mar 25, 2013
Poster, what's your point, does this justify giving a known thief pardon less than 10 years after he was court, he is still a wanted man outside of Nigeria, is that not enough reason not to pardon him, anyway I have nothing against Alams, I just feel this pardon is a significant act in the fight against corruption,it also shows that the Govt doesn't really care about what people think, its business as usual.
Wiz-Prince:
THE HULABALU OVER PRESIDENTIAL PARDON GRANTED BY GEJ.

So many people were worried about GEJ'S Pardon - but why.

=> THEN YOU NEED TO SEE THE LIST OF PEOPLE PARDONED BY PRES. BILL CLINTON. Below

As President., Bill Clinton granted pardon & clemency to 456 people, thus commuting the sentences of those already convicted of crime & obviating a trial for those not yet convicted.

On 20th Jan, 2001, he pardoned 140 people in the final hours of his presidency. Some of those pardoned include:

1. Bob F. Griffin- 4mr speaker of the Missouri House of Reps who was serving 2yrs on bribery charges.

2. Anold Paul Prosperi- Florida Attoney convicted tax fraud.

3. Melvin J. Reynolds- Demo congressman frm Illinois convicted for bank fraud & obstruction of justice

4. Dorothy Rivers- Convicted for $1.2m theft.

5. Peter McDonald-Servin g 14yrs for fraud & racketeering.

In all of these, no International community heard or sanctioned anybody And yet The Same US didn't say anything when Bill Clinton did this. But When it happens in Nigeria, it is now a never-heard-of and having insults from some bloody sentimented people.

 We must give GEJ the needed support to succeed and Nigeria will move forward.

GEJ spokes men have very bad reputation , even if they say the truth their reputation has been destroyed for some funny reasons, example;past records or political alliance, anyway its only wise for GEJ to get new set of people, I guess in Nigeria where reputation means nothing, its business as usual for GEJ and his crew after all he granted pardon to a known thief.

U liiiiiiiiiiiar, HOW DO YOU HAVE ALL THIS INFORMATION ABOUT SOME ONES SALARY? NA YOU THEY PAY HER? ARE YOU A STAFF OF AERO? STOP SPREADING FALSE INFORMATION ON-LINE
daddycool535: This I heard is one of the reasons they are on strike.

They are protesting victimisation of staff,unimproved staff welfare and being made to continually sacrifice while their ogas at the top smile to the bank with fat packages claiming tat the company is in debt.

Nobody can force workers to work hen d work place is uncondusive and unhearting. How can dedicated and experienced workers continue to WORK and baboons beging to chop people sweat and money. While T.F. Worked in Air Nigeeria on N500,000 per month, she lost her job as she earned more salary than professionals only for her to recruited in aero on N1.8m per month btw April- december 2012 and by Jan 2013 thru some magical hoodwinking, her salary rose ro N2.4m per month (N29m p a) with a brand new PRADO JEEP purchased by mgt in her name at N9.7m with N40,000 fuel seed, 3 drums of diesel to power band new gen at N8.8m;. EDFCA - 2.7m pm & mercedes jeep 12m, 80,000 fo fuel - for GM rw- 2.6m pm, prado jeep - N9.7, N40,000 for fuel all these in a coy claimed is going tru hard times. Is AMCON aware of all these? If yes did did AMCON inject Nigeria tax payers money in aero for some thieving mgt to steal and siphon? If no, what does AMCON intend to do to put a stop to these abnormalities?

Aero mgt spent N250m on consultancy on aero/amcon negotiation. Tope is from AIR NIGERIA and she is bringing in pple frm air nigeria - we all know how AIR NIGERIA ended in to hands of so called experts? May we not see same in our aero -it is no longer news that plan to outsource virtually all units/depts except themselves. D questn? Who owns GREATER WASHINGTON? REMLOYD TOUR and CAR, SKYBORD ltd?

Foreign Affairs / Re: Pistorius' Father Accuses South-Africa Of Racism by tutu1: 5:43pm On Mar 07, 2013
I think its wrong for Oscars father to come out with such silly accusation, and I think its worse for the SA Government to accuse him of being racist, South African Government needs to protect its people, they didn't need to take that line of accusation even if the frustrated biased man did. its a childish move and makes you think twice about the SA Government.
free13:
On Sunday, Henke Pistorius came out and blamed the ANC government for failing to protect white families while also revealing that he and other members of the family owned a total of 55 guns to protect them from criminals.
"Some of the guns are for hunting and some are for protection. It speaks to the ANC government, look at white crime levels, why protection is so poor in this country, it's an aspect of our society," he told the Telegraph.

"You can't rely on the police, not because they are inefficient always but because crime is so rife."
In response, Arnold Pistorius, who is Henke's brother and Oscar's uncle said in a statement: "Oscar Pistorius' family is deeply concerned about the comments made by Oscar's father, Henke Pistorius, to the Telegraph about the family using its weapons to defend themselves against crime in South Africa, and especially about his comments that the ANC government is not willing to protect white South Africans," he said.
"Oscar and the rest of the Pistorius family distances itself from the comments. Henke's interview with the newspaper was unapproved by our media liaison team. The comments don't represent the views of Oscar or the rest of the Pistorius family."

The ANC also released a statement declaring Henke's comments "racist."
"The African National Congress rejects with contempt the accusation made by Henke Pistorius (the father to Oscar Pistorius) to a UK newspaper that 'the ANC government is not willing to protect white South Africans'," said their national spokesman Jackson Mthembu.
"Not only is this statement devoid of truth, it is also racist. It is sad that he has chosen to politicise a tragic incident that is still fresh in the minds of those affected and the public. This tragic incident has affected two families that are still trying to come to terms with what happened and this latest racist slur is not assisting these families. We think it is ill-advisable for anyone to start apportioning undue blame.
"The ANC believes that the Pistorius and (Reeva) Steenkamp matter is in the capable hands of our competent courts who are expected to handle the matter objectively and in accordance with our laws. Any speculation can only prejudice the case."

Last month South African Olympic and Paralympic star Pistorius was awarded bail after being accused of murdering his girlfriend Steenkamp.
A South African court granted bail to Pistorius after his lawyers successfully argued the "Blade Runner" was too famous to flee justice.
Prosecutors argued Pistorius committed premeditated murder when he fired four shots into a locked toilet door, hitting his girlfriend on the other side. Steenkamp, 29, suffered gunshot wounds to her head, hip and arm.
Pistorius said the killing was a tragic mistake, saying he had mistaken Steenkamp for an intruder - and opened fire in a blind panic.

You are a mad tribalistic goat, is Uba not Nigerian too? abi is Nigeria not for every one ? this is a democracy and anybody can make statements as he/she pleases.
Dudu_Negro: shouldnt uba be concerned about events in his senatorial district?

1. go find who demolished ojukwu library;
2. go find why igbo bodies are floating in ezu river;
3. go find who killed kwara police commissioner;
4. go find the kidnappers terrorizing SE.

there is a senator in lagos whose constituency ladipo is located in. the proper political thing to do is to pull his peer aside and seek a comprimising outcome and not issuing a brash and irresponsible politically damaging comment in media.

garri, i tell you mehn, ibos make it hard for anyone to come in their defense. imagine a senator crossing his constituent to go address issue with the governor of another state. oh my!
