@ Anfieldboss:
while you get a permit to work does not guarantee 100% job availability. As a student , its about $11 per hour and remember you are to work 20 hrs per week, with an 8 hours work a day, you probably have only 16 hours to work in a week, except you are lucky to get one that is flexible for you to click the 20hrs weekly. For thesis based, not sure you will have that much time for external works Good luck |

4Gzus: Hello everyone thanks for a job well done.
I need some clarifications please:
1. Can one staple documents together (those with many pages) when submitting by paper route?
2. Can one number the documents? 1.do not staple any 2. No need, much you can do is to arrange them, but this will also be done by the staff that will attend to you |

[quote author=CanadianNurse post=56394973]Actually it's possible to open an international student account with the royal bank of Canada.... Its possible to have an international student account opened with RBC from Nigeria. visist www.rbcroyalbank.com/products/deposits/day-to-day-savings.html Select the blue "Sign Me Up" box, located in the middle of the page, and follow the on screen instructions." "During the process you will be asked the question "Do you live in Canada"? Choose "No" as this will designate that you are currently a non-resident looking to open an account prior to your arrival." "Once you complete the application it will be sent to one of the International Banking Advisors who will follow up with you directly within 5 days to give you the information you need to have the account set up and be able to transfer funds to it before you arrive" also as the IBA during the follow up how soon you can get a letter from them that you have made such deposits therein" So this should suffice and clear issues on how to address CIC issues on currency controls in Nigeria |

ugolinze123: DEAR NAIRALANDERS IF U ARE PLANNING TO TRAVEL TO CANADA VIA A STUDY PERMIT WITHOUT PAYING YOUR TUITION FROM NIGERIA JUST FORGET IT CUZ THINGS HAVE CHANGED JUST GOT THIS LETTER THIS WEEK FROM SOMEBODY I WAS HELPING OUT
This is in reference to your application for a temporary residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

This must be received at this office by: 2017/05/26

ceceliaa34: I've been trying to pay my application fee (150 CAD)to University of the Fraser Valley since yesterday with my GTB MasterCard but it never goes through.
Is there any other way around this? I'm beginning to get worried. The deadline is just 5 days away. 150CAD is more than the allowed limit of 100CAD,make use of a dollar card for the payment |

I hope u have made progress, else send an email with all details to the head of GTBank. I had a similar experience some years back and went through a lawyer but it was dragging, even the account officer was not useful. The night I sent the email, by 9am the next day I got a call from their head office to report at the head office of the state I resided then, and told to fill an indemnity form and the fund was reversed. You are lucky to have gotten transaction notifications, the THIEF that did mine then was very smart, disabled my SMS and email alerts, I got to know when I visited the bank 3 days after he made the transfer, luckily for me,if was transferred to a gtb account. |
