I have followed the killings in Benue at least for the last four years. It has never been this bloody. I was born and brought up in the north I have an idea how things work here. When I say the government of Benue should go back to the drawing board it's not out of cowardise it's out of wisdom,priviledged information and experience

I really don't think this senseless killing needs to continue. At this point if the government of Benue state can suspend the anti grazing law and protect the lives of its people first it might just be a better decision. That decision will not make them weak but sometimes you live to fight again some other time.

Suspend the anti grazing law and go back to the drawing board. I am tired of seeing all this blood everyday.

1, who are the other options we have ?

2, Will our votes count ?or will inec present over 10million votes in Kano and Boko Haram turn states and later kill the electoral commissioner.

3,If we are able to vote out the president and some other perceived bad politicians, how do we eliminate the invicible cabal that have always locked around the corridors of Ask rock?

PVC is not the solution for Nigerias current problem, the country needs a drastic revolution. We need to uproot those people behind the back to back failures of every democratically elected president of this country.

I strongly believe there is a cabal, let's uproot them first. We read to speak to the conscience of this invisible cabal in one voice so that NIgeria can be liberated.

Are the people of Benue state saying that their is no solution to this incessant killings. They need to look within for their solution because I don't think the government in power will help them.

I never knew a day will come for me to say this, but if suspending the anti grazing law for now will stop the soiling of blood please let the Benue state government suspend it for now

I might not completely agree with you. I am a Nigerian lady and I support feminism.Anybody who does not support is not very clear about what it entails. Let me give you a small illustration of something I witnessed a few years ago.

I attended the burial ceremony of my friends dad. . As at that time only his female children where working and earning money. The boys were just serving the mandatory NYSC. The man had also suffered money issues before he died. You know how crazy and money draining igbo burials can be.The girls brought all the money for that burial ceremony.

Fast forward to the burial proper,in igbo land it's usually the boys/men that sit at the table receiving guest that come for condolence. The man was a high society man so most of his club members,associates and friends brough money to that table as gifts for the family. But guss what nobody in that family remembered that it's the girls who brought the funds for the preparation. The boys shared all the money received at that table just because females are not allowed to sit at the table according to custom.

If gender equality was considered in this case would it not have favoured the girls.

nobody has ever mention or say feminist don't need marriage but majority especially Nigerian women have all misunderstood this word, "feminist /feminist!

Sweetie let's do this together ,below are my few general idea of what feminism is all about :
1,Equal education for the female child, people are advocating that the female child should also have the right to education.
2,The ability/equality to vote and be voted for.
3,People are also proposing that women should have right to political and managerial positions. Meaning when a woman is qualified she should not be denied just because she is a woman.

The above is what I understand generally, please oblige me with your own additions of what feminism is all about. I am beginning to think I have a flawed view of what feminism is.

Does feminism mean women should not get married? I personally have never really bothered to take this feminism thing serious. I need to go and look for that bill that was submitted and read it.

My biggest issue about the girl child is that I don't want families or cultures to educate a male child then refuse to give the girl child education. Or marry her off instead of sending her to school.

I also don't think a woman should be denied a political position or management position if she is qualified for it just because of her sex.

However it may seem as though nairaland has turned feminism to a mare issue of Nkechi is dating martin0, if she says she is feminist why is she asking him for money to buy tampons (rolls eyes).

My dear lets wake up and smell the coffee alot of women are financially independent now. More and more women are even the ones that fund their households financially. It's just a few women that have that long throat mentality. Also don't forget that when women give men money for hair cut they keep it a secret. In fact another example : twoclans will buy a dress for her self and lie that it's lefulefu that bought the dress for her.
