donbrowser:I do not understand how Dokpesi got away with it, not just Daar, I think Starcomms also went to the market to raise funds when they likely knew thier business was going under |
Gotocourt:There are actually some people who believed she won the election. Do not know how true it was, and also that Ribadu was not in her corner. It is sad if she was actually rigged out, but that is Nigeria for you |
Mikkeal:He just wants to write something. The award slightly favors players in teams who have won a continental club or country championship. Lookman won the Europa |
SlavaUkraini:What may have affected vini is the Brazilian team. They are not playing well right now. Argentina won the Copa and Spain won Euro |
Arostar2023:I too suspect he may be trying to spread the money amongst other family members instead of outsiders. Also, place family in the estate administration instead of non family. |

Threebear:I doubt, the twins had support early on but it looks like they could not hold on to at least 90% of the early support..Part it is the Ruthie stuff. The top two ladies tried with bringing drama but their audience may bee too similar. |
Girlliving:No agenda just personal analysis |
creolehunt:If Kellyrae wins, Onyeka probably gained some Wanni fans. |
Bennytwin:Victoria's own if true is a shocker |

PNomsule:Leave them now, it is obvious why people are not voting her even though, she was being dramatic and all that. She just had question marks about her personality and character. To me the married people are not the problem, it is the rich premium voters and those going after aesthetics that they should be worried about in the long run. Nelly and Anita beating out topher. Streeze out before Aces, flourish and tami out so early. There is no guarantee that DSTV will not continue pleasing this people. I do not believe aces and nelita reached this stage based on buying votes I think they had genuine support likely from premium voters. |
Bobodee09:I think you people are not putting much weight to character. I started by supporting streeze but they were voted out early likely because of aesthetics reasons. But on the day they were evicted the Wanni x Handi showed a side, I did not like, you do not need to shake hands or even one f you finger but the noise was too much that day. Even after that I voted for various people including Wanni herself. But when DRC came back and I saw a bunch of people immediately go to their safe space instead of some level of engagement , I just go disconnected from her. I know she tried her best, even though I feel her strategy was to play a scripted and dramatic role but as an og in this Nigerian online stuff I amless likely to support peopel who will come out and start shouting influencer and be marketing all kinds of products under the it is all about the money no character tag. I voted for the married couple, let them use it for their family. Wanni x handi to me will still go back to the influencer tag, DJ and be charging money left and right for who knows. Let people choose, there are lot of young kids whose parents have premium that are supporting tonita and solly. What did they bring. If you left premium voters to determine it you will be suprised with the positions of Ozee, tonita and solly. It is what it is, if you let viewers determine the winner |
Pinklygul:I doubt it was 100% real, they probably signed an agreement and got paid. Likely took things far but within months many of them will soon do kumbaya |
Oshokhai69:She may have an apartment there but hid it from the viewers. their new production team who may have chased looks and outward presentation for good video feeds |
Typing:The results have not been totally tallied. If PDP lose or does not dominate in Oredo and Ikpoba Okha they will likely lose |
Blackman101:Are you sure that a Nigerian heir will heed to the first advice to Kola? The number 2 advice makes sense in a sane country, it is actually a good way to do things. But sometimes in Nigeria we have a way of bending good things. |
0m0luabi:Poorly research or sponsored article. The price is btw $8-10 per 50 kg |
etrange:After Buhari, I have been wary of any Nigeria or group calling for change or tryign to make a change. The group that put this statement out is giving me some red flags. I think it will be nice to see what objectives they want to achieve. For example ending bad governance is too broad, they first need intellectual backing to their demands and pick a few demands to fight for. There were anti government issues in 1964-1966, (political) 1981-1983(austerity) and 1993-1993 (june 12, fuel scarcity), what steps have the country taken after those issues. They need a better planned strategy to achieve their aims. |
"The #EndBadGovernance protest, which will take place from August 1 to August 10, 2024, intends to solve the nation’s terrible hunger and high inflation." How will they end it by protesting, what is their strategy to end it. If they are serious they shouyld allow everyone freedom to choose what they want to do, go to work, protest watch BBN and so on. |
nairalanda1:It concerns the private sector if they have more than 25 employees. I think most non-educational can pay that amount. However, if they are struggling to pay, they can change their staff to part-time or seasonal because the law only concerns full time employees. |
Jayhome24:Government, both state and federal should retrace it step and invest in the public sector, such as good public primary and secondary schools, transportation/roads and hospitals. They already have the structures just improve the standards. A lof of people pay 10% or higher of their total pay on school fees and some smaller % on health and transportation. If we can make schools and hospitals better and cheaper it will serve the populace. Right now everything seems haphazard and unorganized. they spend money on schools and hospitals but do not follow up on quality standards of service and quality improvement. |
mohims:I do not know about the state governors because I believe minimum wage should be left with the states. However, if the government is serious, a real labor negotiation is not all about money, separate the unions and negoatiate with them individually. If the police want certain amount, you will give them deliverables, same for NAFDAC, SON and son. A lot of this agencies are weak and they need to be strengthened, it is not all about leadership, if workers have develiverables they have to deliver within the law let them deliver it and let them agree to a merit system that is of international standard. A police divisional unit should know how to investigate crimes and get results. Imagine, i know a scammer online, soliciting for fake business, I took the number and evidence to a DPO, he said, it has to be taken to some department elsewhere and that it will cost me. I left, the scammer may still be there scamming people. If institutions and workers are effective, we will feel it. Increase in wages is cool, but effectiveness will show results everyone can see. |
CAPITALBEE:It should also be reflective on the ability of the government to pay the wage and also maintain law and order and infrastructures. |
He is just relying on people's ignorance. These are people who will say corruption is the only problem in Nigeria, but will shout Tinubu is the problem in Nigeria just a month after he came into office. What is the problem then? First of all mobile telephone was quite expensive and was not the norm in the U.S. even up to 1998 what people used were landlines, the cost of the cables and network gear for this line were expensive. The issue was likely cost prohibition for the government. What he could have done was to elaborate the cost of providing telephone services for the nation durign the 1980s then you have to elaborate on the competence of NITEL to handle the network. If that is done you can now discuss what ITT delivered. Because his father said Abiola was corrupt does not provide evidence that it is why our telecommunications development took a while. My guess is the cost and us not being visionary then. |
Bignuell:I think it is possible that nature is smarter tha humans. The pressure on natural resources of untamed population growth is already obvious. What we can think about is what is the weight of procreation in relation to recreation in sexual activities. If it tilts towards procreation, how can we have meaningful population growth rate for future generations without controlling out libido |
dejavubobo1:Can Nigerian companies also create good standard products and not be anti welfare? |
Onovo3:Let me just say this, Lagos port was built to export cash crops. What you are saying just increases the risk profile of the investments. The colonial authorities built the port to export groundnuts and cocoa. For the former, a rail network was built for the port. They probably figured with export steady exports and imports the port should be viable, hence a medium risk investment. Just like the existing Warri port, oil and gas activity already exist in the area, to collect revenue instantly. You need to build a port and within two years be generating some sort of revenue, you can still build a port and wait for industries to germinate but it will delay the revenue generation for the investors nad increase the risk. Again, liek I said earlier be careful of basing your analysis on what you hear in Nigeria, we can be empty barrels. Hopefully they have engaged in tehir own market survey and see where revenues can be geenrated to offset the cost. |
Ten06:Partly because they are powerful and the executive accord them the respect. When they have bastardized the civil service by promoting people not based on merit, hiring family nad friends to come ad chop, what do you expect? They do not respect them. If we are serious, recruitment into the civil service should be based on rigourous hiring processes, staff performance, job assigments and decriptions should also be assidously monitored and constantly reviewed. If the police, customs, immigration and civil service are efficient, they deserve a good wage but rewarding inefficiency because of inflation ma not help the economy |
Chidonsky:It is because we work under a system that is disjointed. Minimum wage is not an emotional issue. It is also a legal issue, if you set minimum wage at 250k, that means an high school student will go work as a sales girl and has to be legally paid 250k. Because that is what minimum wage legally means. It is not a living wage for a family but the basic wage for like a non diploma holder with no kids, so if you pay a non diploma holder 250k, how much will you pay a diploma or PHd holder as a basic wage. Farm hands will be paid that also. Labour is just interested in their union members, which is fine but they should not use that to bring the economy down. |
Onovo3:You have to understand that you are discussing with people who are not open minded, hence the issue of Lagos this and that. The issue of Apapa and Tin can is largely a federal government issue, state do not directly get revenue from ports, it is Customs and FIRS and other federal bodies. Secondly, there is a port in Warri, which has a growing oil and gas activity. What is needed right now in that axis is infrastructural development which can be linked to the existing port or then a new port. People like to talk about industrial development, but it can work if there is an existing market around the port, an export oriented industrial project but if not, the infrastuture needs to be there including rail network.. The strength of the ports in Lagos has little to do with the state government but because Lagos is seen as a strategic market for industries to sell goods and also easy access to imported raw materials for those industries, developing a new commercial zone will need infrastuctural development. |
Druss:I doubt it was designed to only produce foreign crude. My guess is that it was designed to produce light and heavy crude. It is different from other refineries because it can produce lubricating oils and asphalt. |
