Really, a bunch of hoes envious of another hoe getting access to power. Am from Ondo state and moving around parties is what they know. MImiko actually made it worse, painted schools in labor party colors then switched during secodn term. Frankly people voting for parties are highly misguided. We shoudl pretend to vote for party but actually vote for individuals. It is sad that this hoe, omogunwa is a self proclaimed pastor. |
To the op, in US, there is a airline called southwest very popular, they do not give you seat numbers or serve meals but are well liked. airlines then figured food is not the number priority, being on time and safety are key. So the golden age of flying gradually faded and we are stuck with this crap. I rememer the 1980s way better than the 90s. British caledonia used to come to lagos. in that flight they will serve dinner and breakfast. the planes were neat and tight. read this article http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/news/Being-an-air-hostess-during-the-golden-age-of-flying/ |
engineerboat:I will like to know how they were intimidated by a SAN. If he wanted them to delay judgement I support him. You just don't make judgements like this within weeks. You need evidence/witnesses and finally decide on the pdp/sheriff issue but for now, i think everything is still in limbo. |
I think this should be addressed to his family and close friends who wish to celebrate him. I envy is success but I will choose a different path if given the opportunity to lead. He seems too ambitious. What will happen if the elder Yaradua was still around, will he still play no3. He could have been president if he played the game right but I think it is God's wish he did not become one because we could have had it worse. |
Jaideyone:The news is not complete. Ademodi and Ajasin are APC. Ademodi is the leader of APC in Ondo town. It is more like saying Ademodi and APC supports aketi. i think the other afenifere (fasoranti/falae) may support agunloye. |
That is likely Dikko, he was a moderate northerner who was biased towards the British and vice versa. I think the Sardauna factor diminished Dikko's moderation/Western outlook in the north. |
ednut1:That is part of Nigerian life for you, reasoning subdued by emotion in this case nostalgia. The national stadium lagos is in such a poor state that the football pitch in nearby teslim balogun stadium is considered much better. The national stadium is supposed to be the major traning zone for many olympic sports but it is in bad shape. But to suggest real and concrete steps towards rehabilitation or recovery will lead to backlash, I do not really support privatization but I recognize the reasoning behind it. I am okay with privatizating the football stadium but the one in Lagos has other facilities like wrestling, basketball and swimming. Probably a poor choice to build a multipurpose stadium and leave it to disuse. |
I think the issuing office did not know a position to give him. He may have requested a diplomatic/official passport and foreign embassies will will want to now why he owns one because it affords some level of respect and immunity. |
bejeiodus:You hit the major issue with preparations. The influence of Jonathan on the 2012 olympics was probably minimal so also is the influence of Buhari in this present one. There infleunce can be felt atleast two to four years into their tenure. Few athletes can suddenly become world beaters within a year or two without using drugs. But I feel sorry for the country, I think over the years we have been fed so much junk we actually believe it. If we want world beaters we should start from the primary and junior secondary school system, you can easily detect pure talent when they are young and follow them and teach them proper training and nutrition, even in football players like Messi, ronaldo where detected very young. You can't have a weak competitive and organized athletic sector in the high school and suddently become world beaters thereafter. Because we actually do not know the best talent we have are people with talent and determination to succeed in athletics and may not be our best in pure talent, this kind of things are screened at the high school level and university level. In addition, it takes effort and money into training and nutrition. The last is important because there are few trainers that recommend stocking starch and bread as daily bread. In U.S., you have a feeling Allyson Felix was the best they can offer at 400M in the whole country. In Nigeria, I know many good athletes who do not care about a career in track even when they were very good in primary and secondary school. |
this thing has been overflogged online, leave the guy. He may have been sick or had diarrhea. He did quite good in the race een after evrything. |
Taryur3:I think SDP is worth looking into but Agunloye himself has to be reformed. He too has moved around alot. |
I don't know any reason she will defect. She has been in the government since Mimiko came in and the last time are I checked, she is not powerful in her Araromi/odigbo area. However, it will be sad if Ondo people vote accoridng to party. Many of the politicians have moved around that I don't really think party matters. Not in support of either party, really not in support of 95% of the people that call themselves politicians in Ondo State. |
sad, I thought he had been married to Abdulsalami's daughter for a a while |
The debate over this project just shows how Nigerians cow to men who are richer and have obtained more power than them. The project which shoud be a Nigerian project now if caught on who started it, a debate that is futile because one could say it was started by the people who proudced a concrete design and project plan. But to the truth of the matter. In 2006, Obasanjo signed a $8 billion plus contract with CCEC for railway modernisation. I don't know who produced the design, the project was initially linked to oil trading contracts. When Yar'adua came in, he renogiated the modernization project with CCEC and changed the first phase to Abuja to Kaduna instead of Lagos to Kano. The project was started under Yar'adua around 2009. The truth is the project was mostly built during the administration of Jonathan. Jonathan can be given credit for going through with an existing project and seeing it close to completion. But who started it should be the Nigerian government. The proposal and deal with CCEC was started by OBJ, the specific Abuja to Kaduna rail built by CCEC started under Yardua, Jonathan continued with the project and Buhari commisisoned it. I actualyl think both sides just shows are self-ingratiating they are. Instead of both sides to be happy that a project designed or planned in in 2006 was able to pass through four administrations. A weary word for the pro-jonathan. I think the project is more Northern Nigeria project initiated by Yar'adua because the initial phase 1 was a railway from north to south. I suspect the fullfilment of a northern nigeria project is what is making buhari giddy. |
I thought he was a political joke. The problem with many states but EKiti in particular is economic. I hated all his antics because it deviates from the issue that Ekiti may be one of the poorest states in Southern Nigeria and he never professed any solution to the problem. The crust of the economy of Ekiti is the state government in Ado Ekiti. If true, he is still not professing any solution to the problem. He is like Trump, appeal to emotional issues but people still scratch their heads on planned policies to uplift the economic and social standard of living of the people. |
Gemade is relevant because of the late-night politics/meetings and not about what he does on the floor of the senate. welcome to the lives of your governors and politicians. |
cktheluckyman:There used to be some wasted money in environment, like security votes, the ecological funds used to fund whatever the president desires. but it would be sad if it is not about development but all about money. ides rule, she should state their ideas about developing the place not meeting with ministers every night. |
Akpuoru:You have to leave them, they are blinded by their own prejudice but have no foresight. They can only see what immediate emotional benefit they can achieve which to know that a Tinnubu was abused. But in the future, if he gets away with it, you know what he will feel empowered and ready to pounce and the physical or real liability he poses will continue. I just don't feel comfortable with domestic abuse hanging over his head and corruption to trust this guy. Her is all over the map and seems to have no purpose just media theatrics. |
Tenkobos:I will still say your reasoning is false. Frankly, in the western or reasonable world the best thing for Dino to do is apologize. But in an unresonable country like Nigeria you have to throw reason out of the window. My thought is based on reason not irrationality. Dino's words if he can't or won't apologize should be upheld as a word the man believes he can achieve or had done before. In a reasonable world, investigations will be done on his past especially his domestic abuse past to see if he is actually believes what he is saying (atleast to a poor female not to Tinubu's wife). What many don't understand his Dino is not going to rape Tinubu's wife but Dino may beat the average girl, rape the average girl or father children endlessly. The question has to be about Dino's character. It is about Tinubu's character but Tinubu did not say I will beat you up like someone who means it. Be wary of people you support because tomorrow they will be raping the country and the powerless or irrational Nigerians will do nothing. |
yhemsy62:Source? leave the guy now, let him be paying ethnic politics. I don't support Buhari's unbalanced appointments but some of those people have been relieved of their appointments before the new MD. |
oglalasioux:It may be a small party, in U.S, the party started on Saturday. If it on Monday, they may not get as much Nigerians to come. However, I don't see anhything wrong with a few Nigerians celebrating with them It is their right as long as they are not giving unnecessary info to the U.S. |
yemmit90:No you are wrong, the side he is showing is the Ibadan to Ife rd section. It has a lot of pot holes after Ikirun before you reach where the Akara sellers are. The Ife-Ibadan is one of the best road sections constructed in Nigeria but that one too need maintemance. The difference in both roads have been stated above. Technically they are both constructed by same company(soleh boneh/RCC) but the first was Israelis and Awolowo/Akintola and the second RCC and Sijuade and Abacha. The quality of the rd was bad upon completion. |
tomakint:Dan Fodio did not bring Islam to the north, the assertation he made was that the Hausa practiced a diluted one; they believed in Islam and also practiced their Bori, traditioanl religion side by side. There is a chance that Islam first came to the Kanuri part of the North, when it was a mixture of Kanem-Bornu. Actually, during the jihad, the Kanuri were not really fond of Dan Fodio because they felt any Jihad in their territory has little to do with religon but territorial grab because Islam has been part of them for centuries. In Kano scholars claim Rumfa, but I now their is evidence of Al Maghili, a taureg Islamic scholar in Kano. Maghili had written notes about some of his activities in Kano and may be more relevant in germinating the seed than dan fodio. |
19 and 27 are wrong, the Abimbola bit is technically correct, she was the first to practice medicine in the country but not the first Nigerian female dcotor. |
Unecessary press release, talk about how sorry a life is lost due to the actions of your officials. Every week ppl die at the hands of the law enforcement but at least don't start out blaming the victims. |
jidex89200:He is in the wrong party and wrong time, with Trump nad his anti-immigration stand, I just can't see him getting any traction in his area. |
Bluffly:Obama is a democrat |
And unlike manmy ppl here, I will not vote based on parochial interest, because he has a Nigerian name does not mean I should support his politics. If I am in his state he will never get my vote. |
cramjones:thank you, do you have more. no way in hell i will take the statement back. pls add more insults. |
d33types:\ Yes I did write that, from what I read, he ran before and got less than 1%. He is running on the republican ticket. I live in U.S and was republican before until i realised like Trump that a lot of people are hateful. Trump is just playing on that while I ran away. Now. let me tell you what the confused fella is not going to say to his republican base, if you name is tunde or William and you have the same work experience almost every time William will get called for an interview, his name is Yomi farapusi or whatever on a republican ticket, he is not gonna make it. The wrong party |
