abbakacici: he said beyaro university are on strike for the last 6 months and with no hope of returning , the state has only one functional state university which only science and technology at wudil so the state governor government is currently building a new university for all courses called North-west university which he hope to complete by september 2014. so this is just temporary measure before the state university is completed and opportunity for sons and daughter of the less privilege to have the same opportunity as the children of the rich are having, it will not motivate student to apply for scholarship to imo state university or kogi state university, because student hear, private university almost 2000 student apply and the state has the chance to choose the best 450 student. and for a student studying outside kano especially in the south he/she will have partial scholarship (tuition fees fully paid by state government ) but i don't why most kano student don't like studying in the south

It is foo.lish for the state govt to sponsor students to private universities because of the ongoing strike action in the public ones.
If the state university offers science courses only,are there not public universities in neighbouring states?

It's unfortunate,what about Kano State University? Bayero University nko? Ain't they good enough to train these Kano students?
What criteria was used to choose those schools? Are they the best in Nigeria? I hope it has nothing to do with the governor's relationship with the founders of these schools; Igbinedion,Obasanjo and Bola Ajibola
Instead of training 450 students in private university,why not use the same money to train 4500 in government owned universities?

Even a five year old kid knows that PDP has an ulterior motive in offering her the money but unfortunately for them Oshio has good advisers who handled the case professionally.
