mtisTheQubit: Jeez....
With an estimated population of 21 million, Lagos is Nigeria’s largest city and one of the largest cities in the world. Crime levels are also very high, with Numbeo giving the city a rating of 80.88 out of a possible crime score of 100. The OSAC gives Lagos a crime rating of "critical". Locals and expatriates alike living in Lagos are prone to muggings, armed robberies, home or business burglaries, carjackings, assaults, rapes, kidnappings, and extortion. Armed robbers in the city are known to even climb up perimeter fences and subdue guards, and others have invaded waterfront compounds by way of boats. Criminals also target vehicle occupants in traffic, and break into stationary cars. Some of Lagos' crime hot-spots are airport roads in the days or evenings, as well as banks and grocery stores. Street gangs dubbed "area boys" cause terror in the mainland of the city when they clash. Lagos is also an e-mail scam hotbed, from where dubious cyber criminal prey on people under the pretension that they can receive huge compensation in return some time later after parting with some money by way of electronic transactions. . Samorobo lacks self control very often he fells to emotions , insults , crys I pity this mumu called samorobo |

rvp2018: In the meantime - Kenya SGR - started construction in 2014 - and in record 3yrs was in Nairobi - and now in Naivasha (about 600ksm) - and in 2yrs of operation (1 yr for cargo)...
According to the statistics from the Africa Star Railway Operation Company Ltd, by 31st May, SGR has offered service to 3 million passengers and transported 440,000 TEUs. The transportation management to 25 stations out of 33 is fully handled by Kenyan employees. The localization of 9 passenger service stations, train service and passenger management has reached beyond 90%.
Compare to NIGERIA
Nigeria SGR I think began in 2006 and is still far from complete - Lagos - Kano SGR - only complete part is Abuja-Kaduna -200kms- (possibly with embarrassing operational stats).
Abuja-Kaduna - (3yrs) of “safe operation of the Abuja- Kaduna train service” offering services to over 1.5 million passengers so far. MSA-NBI in 2yrs - 3M passengers. When did tz start constructing their sgr |

kikuyu1: Our labour though expensive is more productive than Ethiopia's where it seems they've decided to race to to the bottom, in term of pay. 'Ethiopian garment factory workers are paid extremely low salaries. Entry-level workers are paid an average of 26 US dollars a month, which is only"
Fashion united.co.UK. In Kenya, that slave wage route isn't the way-the gov, the people themselves, workers and civil society will chase away factory owners, believe you me! Such wages will never work in kenya But Kenya needs industrial parks At least in every major urban centres |

The talk is about manufacturing and not garment factory worker salaries. Is garment factory d only manufacturing industry in Ethiopia? Ethiopia manufacturing industry is mainly about Apparel , textile and garment Foreign companies are abusing Ethiopian workers . |

cossano: now you are talking, remember there was also that bill in parliament that sought to make nairobi a tax haven, nairobi is also looking to become a mineral exchange hub hence the dalliance with the new Congolese govt, these are smart moves if implemented well. another one is the proposed kisumu industrial park, and the expansion and dredging of the kisumu port, remember if the Kenyan govt fails to actualize this project and the Tz Govt goes ahead and completes the central corridor all the way to Bukoba and connects it with port bell in Uganda, Tz will dominate the regional trade and you know what this will mean for Kenya. Expansion and dredging of kisumu port is aleardy underway The proposed industrial park in kisumu is to process the water hyacinths |

But what we have in Ethiopia is slave labour |

cossano: yes you cannot survive on Kes.6,000 in Kenya and i dont think whether you can survive on that amount in ethiopia either, but the ethipian government is looking at the long term goals not short term gains. sometimes its better a half a loaf than no bread at all. thats the superior logic here Kenya has a high cost of living compared to Ethiopia So the 6000 kshs can work for an average Ethiopian |
