But don't forget we're talking about Africa influencers.
North Africa including Algeria does not have any influence in AU. Morocco which has been trying to fix herself in Sub-Sahara affairs was dismally rejected. They can be powerful but toom when it comes to African matters.

It might take years for this new-found unity "North Africa and South/Sub-Sahara) to influence AU-EU relations
