Every year the President of one of the most powerful Nations in Africa would come out with promises to end the reign of terror. I can tell you (from experience) that the waiting period per se between two consecutive relationships is largely inconsequential. If you have been dumped today would you push away a potentially more suitable partner because you want to observe the waiting period?

It is not the length of the hiatus that matters. I would rather believe that your activites in-between make the difference. Some people heal, while others just fester.
